    Chicken Mahkni & Garlic Naan
    Dave W.

New Delhi Palace is intimate and tranquil. The service is quick and the food is incredible! Huge fan of their Chicken Makhni! The garlic Naan is remarkably soft and fluffy! Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms but that pink soap is awful! Forgivable when the food is as flavorful as it is! A huge plus is the free parking structure behind the joint. Rare for LA.

First time trying this restaurant and decided to go the takeout route, which is a bold choice when you don't know how well the hot food will travel. I was super impressed with how everything was perfectly packaged and labeled. No spillage and it made it home still hot and fresh. The food itself was delicious but my favorite was the vegetable pakora. Would recommend!

What is disappointment? The lunch buffet was. When I walked in, I asked what the price was, expecting it to be $17 like someone posted last month. The gentleman told me $19. When the bill arrived it was actually $19.57. As other reviewers have mentioned, the food was on the bland side. It did not have unique flavors compared to other places the garlic naan was excellent. Service was just OK. I had to ask for more water and there were no spoons on the buffet for the dessert.

Always love their food! Great buffet for Lunch! The water glass is crystal clean, water is good and the food is fresh! Parking is easy too, in the back and amazing view out the window! Look at the natural light!

This place had delicious food, and the ambiance was really nice since the restaurant is located on the second floor of the building and you can see out. The service was attentive, and I'll definitely go back!

This was a fantastic experience. From the first bite of our vegetable Samosas I knew the flavor profiles would be outstanding. The service was fantastic looks like a small family runs it sweet kind attentive people. The food was finger licking good. Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Massala and chanamasala with the Garic Naan were perfection this will be a new regular spot for us.

Came here for their lunch buffet on a Sunday, we noticed this place after grabbing food at Hummus Labs and decided to give it a try since it's close by. Parking is usually not a problem in the upper lot of the structure and the stairs lead right to the restaurant. It was not busy at all when we arrived close to noon so we got a table right away. I don't know if their selection changes daily or occasionally but was a little disappointed they didn't have butter chicken or tikka masala that day. So I tried the chicken curry, potatoes, pakoras, chili chicken and lamb curry. The chili chicken was super dry and over cooked. The lamb and chicken curry was a bit bland. I also found the pakora way too full of nothing but onions which I'm not a fan of. The naan that came was fresh and hot although again a little bland, could barely taste the garlic. For dessert they had gulab jaman but it was cold instead of hot which is not NH preference. For $22.99 before tax and tip, I was left pretty unimpressed. I prob would've given them another shot if it was a little cheaper, maybe their other dishes are better but have a hard justifying $29/pp after tax and tip for pretty mediocre food. It's a shame because I was looking forward to having an Indian buffet spot close by (we typically go to a spot in Rosemead which is pretty out of the way).

This place is often overlooked, but their coconut curry chicken is the best I've ever had.

Service is good! They took like.. 30 minutes to prepare the food. I would recommend ordering ahead. They play soft Indian music which is a nice vibe.. also some kind of thin bread appetizer for free. - Chicken Coconut Curry 5/5 AMAZING. I asked them to make it 10/10 spicy and they did just that! It tasted amazing. It was very rich and flavorful and spicy! [RECOMMEND] - Lamb Tikka Masala 2.9/5 Lamb is very tender and delicious. The sauce however has too much tomato taste. - Tandoori Chicken 4.5/5 The chicken was very tender and had good charcoal taste. - Garlic Naan 4/5 I've had better naan, but definitely a staple to get with the curry! You also have to order basmati rice on the side. Free upper deck parking in the structure!

Ask the Community - New Delhi Palace

    Do they have lunch buffets?

Yes. they just started like a month a go after covid

    Access to use for Wheelchair?

Yes, there is a ramp from the parking lot entered off of Mentor.

I tried to go here tonight, and could not for the life of me find the entrance to the parking lot! Of course, the weather was so awful I could barely see. Where is it? Thanks.

The parking is on North Mentor Ave. Just north of Colorado blvd. Mentor is a oneway street. If you turn from Colorado Blvd the parking lot is upstairs and it's the first lot on your left.

Had this bookmarked & noticed that a few Yelp Friends have left their reviews on here. It looks like that hometown feel type of shop but the experience today was NOT that. Service was polite but not quite that welcoming that you would feel at a mom n pops shop. It's too bad coz if it were, we would frequent this diner/cafe. Most places that we're regulars at, we feel valued as patrons and are welcomed like family. I find less and less places have this kind of atmosphere. We ordered breakfast staples; Hubby ordered a machaca combo with flour tortillas & black beans, I opted for the (2 large!) banana walnut pancakes combo with chicken apple sausage, potatoes & over medium eggs. Our food arrived timely, hot and good presentation. Hubby said the machaca was decent because having had his fair share of machaca, these passed. My pancakes were huge! Flavor was good, as the banana slices & walnuts were cooked in, not just placed on top like most places. Macadamias would've been a better pairing though. The chicken apple sausage was flavorful & eggs were cooked as requested. Noise level was somewhat loud with all the clanging as tables were cleaned/bussed around us. Overall a decent experience for our first time visit, as mentioned, if the service was more thoughtful & welcoming, it would've made the difference from a 3 star to perhaps a 4 or a 5 star. Food for thought.

Despite its popularity, I find the food to be fairly average. Much of it tastes like it's made from standard commercial food-service ingredients rather than prepared fresh. On the positive side, the prices are reasonable, the dining room has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is generally attentive. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood breakfast restaurant - nothing particularly memorable, but nothing especially disappointing either. The Reyn Special - 3/5. A classic breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and banana bread. The eggs and bacon are fairly average, although the bacon tends to be overcooked and dry. The standout is the hash browns. They're cooked with a nicely browned, crispy crust while still remaining fairly moist inside. The real highlight, however, is the banana bread. It tastes homemade and is easily the best item on the plate. Crepes - 1/5. This dish comes as two separate plates: one with the ricotta-filled crepes and another with eggs, sausage, bacon, and your choice of fries or tater tots. Unfortunately, the crepes are the weakest part of the meal. The ricotta-filled crepes don't taste freshly made and instead resemble a pre-made food-service product that's simply reheated before serving. Both the crepe and ricotta filling have a generic flavor with noticeable artificial notes. You can choose either banana or strawberry topping, but both sauces taste overly processed and artificial. The accompanying breakfast plate is noticeably better. I chose the tater tots, which were well prepared - crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. The bacon, however, was again overcooked and dry, making it tough to chew. The sausage was acceptable but unremarkable. Scrambled Supreme - 2.5/5. Despite the name, this is essentially an omelet. The eggs have a mild, neutral flavor, and the fillings are okay but don't stand out. Coffee - 2/5. The coffee is classic diner coffee in every sense. It's somewhat watery, heavily roasted, and finishes with a flat, slightly bitter aftertaste. It's neither particularly good nor particularly bad - just standard coffee that does the job. Overall, The Reyn succeeds as a comfortable, affordable breakfast spot with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. While the food is average, and several dishes rely on ingredients that taste commercially prepared rather than freshly made.
