I saw the board game Pandemic there for $75. I'm not even kidding. I paid $20 for mine!

Nice comic book store with good selection of new and back issues. Their program for buying trades is a good deal.

Awesome comic book store. Exactly what I was looking for during my unexpected free afternoon during…read moremy Boston visit. Walked in and one of the employees asked if I was new there. I said Yes and he then gave me their quick spiel. From other reviews it looks like 20% off isn't new and has been a thing for a very long time. I didn't find, in general, their prices to be too bad. A few books maybe but they're smack in the middle of the city in a high tent area and their selection of pretty much everything is great, do slightly higher prices are understandable. Highly suggest a visit for current books, back issues, slabs, and I think lots of gaming stuff as well (I didn't pay attention to their non-comic stuff). It was actually fun for me.

Rob, Yakov, Stee, Jeff, and Jacob are some of the coolest and most chill employees you can find. I'm probably gonna get my Spider-Man/Superman from there someday lol. And how could I forget the pricing of the comics? All of it is fair but they always have special discounts/sales and Rob always welcomes you with a.. "WELCOME TO FRIAR TUCKS!" And then the spiel is explained from there. Awesome stuff.

I have been on the hunt for sonny angel hippers and was elated to find them here yesterday! They are behind the counter at check out for $20/each, limit 4 per person. I originally decided to just buy two and we opened the blind boxes in the car. I was hoping to get a pink one, however, unfortunately did not hit. Now, it is 6 min before closing and we figured, what the heck? Why not go back to get two more hahaha. So, we rushed back into the mall (special thanks to the workers for letting us pick up two more, last min before close!) and bought two more. Anyways, I ended up getting one pink one and a blue mouse this time around! Total for 4 was ~$84. I love what I ended up getting though! Definitely a sucker for blind boxes from time to time, but it's so fun ;)

They have whole racks of manga books, pop funko bobbles (some exclusives etc) and a glass case of chase pops (not retail pricing) They have hobby merch, accessories, tee shirts, music, tidbits all about. Glad they still surviving and offering products to the south shore! The store employees are attentive if you need help, they folks i used to know there have since moved on but looks like the store is run well still!

When I happened upon the Barnes & Noble at Derby St Shops, I came to realize that I had somehow been mentally convinced that there were no more open locations. So this was a pleasant surprise! Nice and spacious with a well decorated children's area and a Starbucks on the right. Stop on by and peruse some books!

I have a kindle but went to Barnes and Noble for a book for a gift and was also shopping around. The person in the middle that helps you look up books was very helpful. However that's where it ended. We went to the cafe and I know it's Starbucks not Barnes and Noble but the people working there were very rude to us. They gave us moldy food we had to return no apology. Then when we went to check out at Barnes and Noble we couldn't remember the number for our rewards and the woman checking us out said snarkily "oh now we are onto the 3rd number" then when we went to give the other number she goes "wait a minute wait a minute" like yelling at us.....safe to say we will stick to our kindles and go elsewhere for gifts which sucks! But like I said if anyone is wondering why places are closing it's customer service related!
