It was a cute red colored barn embellished proudly with their recognizable logo. Inside looked so much more impressive. The tops of the walls were embellished with mill equipment and it her antiquated tools and knick knacks that you'll enamor. The food pricing is entirely fair and if anything, on the lower end. The quality of the food is stellar and on par with most diners. You'll enjoy the uniqueness of this place because of their offerings based on their products. Get their pancakes and their biscuits. Get the pancake tacos. All of the diner fare appears equally reliable and well-priced. The service is quite prompt but not hole-in-the-wall prompt. I'd go back. I love this place and go multiple times when I am in CNY visiting family. I have even introduced this place to several family members who live nearby! Their affogatos are amazing and they have the cutest things in their store! Their burgers are also too notch along with their fries. Excellent food but service leaves too much to be desired for any higher of a rating. It took asking two different servers a total of three times for a leftovers box. While the wait was 30+ minutes, at least one empty table remained dirty and ignored for a considerable time. There's less than ten inside tables, every one is important to turn over. What a neat place! Always loved visiting the pretty mill and buying the products at Wegmans, also in MA and CA when I moved there. Now when we visit we can eat the yummy pancakes and good espresso drinks right at the cafe! Very nice servers who know the history too. This location is not so convenient for us city folk but we went here for the first time on a Saturday morning. The building itself is large and rustic and there is a cute country store with interesting albeit pricey cooking and baking ingredients. The dining area is incredibly small seating only about 10 tables, and although it was not busy, service was nice but extremely slow- although we were one of the first in line, we waited about 30 minutes for a table, and even from when we ordered, food took another 40 minutes, making me think that there is only one cook and one waiter. The dining area was also eerily quiet when we first got there, no clamor or chatter like you'd expect in a buzzing diner, so they may want to consider background music as it felt like our whole conversation was the only one going on there. These issues aside, the food was phenomenal. They have so many different ways to customize your order. I recommend any of the pancakes and their mocha latte was delicious. read more

Went to New Hope Mills Restaurant for one last get together with my good friend before I head back to florida. The food was very good. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito. It was quite large and came with a side of crispy fried potatoes. I ordered the hash which was loaded with potatoes and topped with two eggs, cheese, onions and peppers. It came with a sidevof toast as well. We also decided to share an order of the apple crisp French toast. It was quite rich, but the French toast was very tasty. I had asked if they could do a half order and was informed that "they don't do half orders". Our waitress was less than pleasant. She wasn't rude, but she was very brusk. In addition I was very dissapointed with my Luke warm coffee and when we informed the waitress she just said she would get fresh. Apparently she meant in her carafe because we never saw hot coffee. All in all I hope the negatives were an isolated event and I look forward to visiting New Hope Mills in the spring when we get back from Florida. read more

New hope mills is a confusing establishment I'd say the food was pretty mediocre it was not bad however lacking in flavor I got the biscuits and gravy the portions in my opinion were too small my brother however got the bacon waffles and that was way too big he could barely finish one so you could say the portion sizes were rather in consistent. THIS IS WHY I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN: The service is by far the worst in auburn and possibly the worst I've ever had it started when we walked in right away I see most of the staff standing around talking We sit down at a table on our own 5 minutes later we get our menus and we order drinks they say another waitress I forgot her name will come take our order but the thing is it never was taken we waited 40 minutes people came in and sat down and people took their order soon we realized they forgot about us we had to get up and ask why no one has taken our order as we thought they forgot about us with my food I decided to order a drink because i did not like my first one after we order we got our food at an around average speed my brother and 2 of us got our food and we had to wait 15 minutes for my other brother to get his food. In conclusion I see no reason for anyone to go to this restaurant for some reasons two of the waitresses were inseparable they talked the whole time and when they took peoples orders for some reason they did it together if you want good service never go here the only reason anyone would go here is for the little shop otherwise I'd suggest anywhere else read more

Had an excellent breakfast with friends this morning! We had no wait for a table arriving at about 10:30am. There are a ton of pancake flavors to choose from, both traditional and creative, and the cakes are gigantic and delicious. When I was younger (much!), my Ma found a cabin on Skaneateles Lake, as opposed to Otisco Lake where we usually spent summers, and she discovered New Hope Mills. It was 15 miles from our cabin but well worth it. She was an excellent cook and made pies from your flour. I recently found your product in Detwiler's in FL. I've often thought how much better your flour would be for pizza dough, which is usually like tasteless cardboard. I just eat the stuff on top. You should market your flour to pizzerias! Different kind of place that we were looking to go to for some time. Unique setting where it looks like a "factory store" was there first and then a small cafe was added. Not too many seats, about a dozen 4 person booths and a table for two. We waited 30-40 minutes for a table which was no problem. We were in no hurry and it gave us a chance to shop the gift store. When we did get seated, we ordered specials that consisted of bacon, eggs and pancakes. Coffee was delicious, as was the bacon and eggs. Pancakes were huge but really heavy. I get New Hope Mills pancakes at a different diner that are fantastic but these needs to be mixed more to get some air in the batter. Staff is very friendly.
