First of all, nobody got sick, which gives them 2 stars instead of 1. But their food was otherwise not good. It just wasn't. We had a large order for a family of 10. The menu has a broad range of Thai options so, even though Chinese restaurants don't have the best track record with this, I assumed they might know how to make Thai food and I ordered a chicken pad Thai. Nope! I'm not sure what that was, but it wasn't pad Thai. It was a tray of brown noodles without any sauce. There were perhaps 3 pieces of chicken, which brings me to the main problem: there was no meat. Like, no meat. Across all dishes. We had a couple of chicken mai fun dishes, chicken fried rice, beef with broccoli, beef with garlic sauce... and everyone independently had the same complaint. There was very, very little chicken or beef in the chicken and beef dishes. Like, shockingly little. I guess skimping on ingredients saves the business some money. But it also leads to negative reviews. So this is mine. read more

Just moved to Massapequa and decided to give this place a try. I am SO happy that I did! I ordered chicken w/ broccoli, shrimp fried rice and an order of fried chicken - fresh and SO delicious!! It also came with complimentary egg roll and soup. I also asked for a Pepsi, thinking it was a can like most places give, but they gave me a full bottle of Pepsi! They thoroughly followed instructions for the delivery driver as well. I am very happy with New King Dragon and will definitely order from here again. read more

The food is very good here. I've been a loyal customer since there were in Wantagh, then they moved to this location and I know they have another location back in Wantagh again. I really like this place, super friendly staff willing to make whatever you may please. The chefs can be hit or miss (hence the 4 and not 5 star rating) when they are on, they are ON and can't be beat... When they are off they are still better than your run of the mill strip-mall joints. I have tried a decent portion of the menu and have had no real major complaints. Great Chicken on a stick and Szechuan beef. They have tried to venture into other SEA cuisines like Thai and Vietnamese... They are not there yet - their Pho is nowhere near Pho Bang in Flushing (obviously) however their pad Thai (chef depending) can be outstanding! read more

My family and I ordered take-out from here a few weeks a go. We were so excited to FINALLY find a great new local Chinese food place. SUPER delicious food. The only thing I would say "negatively" about this place would be that the sesame chicken was not like any other sesame chicken from Chinese food places. The sauce was thin and lacking. I ordered from New King Dragon for the first time last night. I live in the Mass Pk bordering Farmingdale area and haven't been satisfied at all with the Chinese food options. I would have given NKD 5 stars if they had given me an accurate delivery time. Friendly service but they told me 30mins and it took nearly an hour. It may be because I am just out of their 3 mile radius. However when I tried the food I was so happy. We ordered the BBQ Satay Steak on a stick. It was tender, flavorful and not chewy at all. I was ecstatic to see Thai food options and ordered the Red Panang Curry. It tasted great, was filled with tons of fresh zucchini, snow peas, peppers, onions and chicken. My boyfriend was satisfied with the BBQ boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice. I like that the egg rolls were not greasy and I didn't have to question the freshness or quality of the meat I was eating like at other Chinese restaurants. The best take out in Massapequa. Although pricey, you get exactly what you pay for. The sesame chicken is out of this world, and the chicken here actually tastes like real white meat, and they put a helping of their unbeatable sauce. Also, all their soups from the wonton egg drop to the hot and sour are the best around. The staff is extremely nice and if you spend over $30 you get to spin the wheel, which has some great items available. Even if you get something you don't like, the lady will gladly let you spin again. If your in the mood for some seriously top notch quality food, you have to stop by. I have never had a dish I didn't enjoy. By the way, I don't think that I mentioned the amazing steamed dumplings. Can't beat the quality anywhere. read more
