Want to start by saying the qualities of Oscar. 1stable he is an amazing plumber with great value & quality. I looked at all his reviews on here. While some seem to be discouraging I gotta say some people are just here to dismiss hard working people. 2nd Oscar is very knowledgeable and tells you how it is. 3. The value & price is fairly good. I have called plenty of plumbers around & are ridiculous! 4. Most people that are happy with the work done do not add reviews so I decided to do so because Oscar and team deserve it!!! (UPDATED JULY 2022) I called Oscar at New Millennium because of the positive reviews I read on yelp. He answered the phone, asked me a few questions, and said he'd come out later that same day. He didn't show. I called him, no answer. I texted, and he replied he was running late and he'd arrive here in an hour. He didn't show. I texted him and he replied he'd come the next day. Oscar finally did show up the next day for what should've been a very simple job: installing a larger diameter draining pipe in my laundry room to accommodate the water flow from my new washing machine. He quickly cut open the wall, replaced the pipe, patched the wall. I wasn't thrilled with his messy patch job and I thought his fee was excessive (500.00 for an hour's work and a piece of plastic pipe) but I was glad the plumbing was fixed so I paid him and he left. Later that night I turned on the washing machine and when it went into the spin cycle and began to drain, water bounced back out of the wall from the pipe Oscar had just installed and ran down the freshly patched wall and flooded my floor. I panicked, and shut off the washing machine. Then I saw that water was also leaking from inside the wall itself, oozing out from the baseboards. I called Oscar, no answer. I texted Oscar, he replied via text that he would come out the next day to fix it. Then as I was going around putting towels on the floor to soak up the water I discovered that when he'd cut into the wallboard in the laundry room to access the pipe he'd pushed the saw too far so the electric saw blade cut into my bathroom on the other side. I immediately texted Oscar a photo and told him he would need to patch this when he returned to fix the leaking pipes. Oscar never came back. Instead, he sent someone in his place, I think his name was Lenny? He indicated that he didn't speak much English, he glanced at the damage, called Oscar and spoke with him extensively in Spanish and then left without telling me anything or fixing anything. He left and I called Oscar, no answer. I texted Oscar, no answer. I kept texting until he finally he replied that he'd "sent a guy to fix it and there was nothing more he could do". I replied that nothing had been fixed, the person he'd sent just looked at it and left, I still have an active leak and water all over the floor, a damaged wall, and no way to wash my clothes. Oscar never replied. Poof, just like that he was gone. I never heard from him again. I checked with my bank, Oscar had cashed my check immediately. In desperation, I called around to find a different plumber to fix Oscar's mess. By the time I could find someone else to come out, the water coming out of my wall turned rust-colored which meant damage to the metal fittings inside my wall. This upset me more than you can imagine, because if Oscar had returned immediately to fix what he'd done then this all could've been avoided. The new plumber who came out opened up the wall and discovered that Oscar had installed the pipe incorrectly AND that the pipe he used was too narrow for the job so he had to cut open the wall and COMPLETELY REDO Oscar's work, including replacing all of the parts Oscar had installed. He charged me 250.00 total. I asked him why he was charging me half of what Oscar had charged me for the exact same work and he replied "it's only a 250 job". So, to recap, Oscar charged me TWICE the going rate for a repair, incorrectly installed a pipe that was the wrong size, cut through a wall he should not have, left me with a leak inside my wall, and then ghosted me instead of returning to fix the damage he'd done. As a result I had to pay a different plumber to redo his work. Please see my photos of the water bouncing out of the pipe and running down the wall, the messy patch job Oscar did, the rusty water seeping out of the baseboard, and the saw blade mark where Oscar's saw came through the wall of the adjacent bathroom. Icing on the cake is that when I first posted my yelp review, Oscar had the nerve to post a comment denying that he did the work at my home and questioning my "intentions". Just, wow. So after a yearlong search I've finally found my invoice (see attached screenshot, redacted for privacy reasons). And I've located my old phone with the text exchanges between us as well as a copy of the new plumber's invoice stating the work was a redo of Oscar's. I also had the new plumber remove and bag Oscar's incorrectly sized pipe (complete with Oscar's fingerprints), and I still have that, too. As for my "intentions", they're simple: I'm hoping to spare anyone else the grief of having Oscar do to them what he did to me. A note of caution, if you hire Oscar be sure to take before & after photos as well as a photo of him working (to prove he was there) and save your invoice just in case. Integrity matters. I left him a great review 5 years ago because we had used him for a long time. He is no longer the honest, helpful and punctual plumber I knew. Recently, I have had Oscar out a few times to fix my clogged kitchen sink. The first time was in November. He said he jetted the line and it should be good to go. I paid him $300 and he went on his merry way. When it was still clogging in February, I asked him to run a camera through the line to make sure there wasn't any blockages or anything. He said he would, but he didn't. He just jetted the line again and charged me another $300. He didn't even touch the p-trap. He offered me a 60 day warranty so when it clogged about 10 days later, I asked him to come out again to look at it and sent him a picture. Now keep in mind, we have a basket that catches solid food. There were a few beans in the clogged sink but we never wash solid food down the drain. His response was, yes we can come out but "Just want to let you know that flushingsolids down the drain without running the garbage disposal is considered intentional damage and voids our warranty." When I told him we don't flush solids down the drain, he proceeded to send me my picture with the beans circled, indicating I guess that it was proof that we flush solids down the drain. My response was "There is a basket in the sink that we empty into the other sink that has the garbage disposal. If you're not going to honor the agreement, let me know now. I'll leave my peace on yelp and use another plumber, I know several- I was using you because we have been loyal to you for almost 10 years." He said that he would be there the next day but didn't show up. The day after there was a main city line break so I told him we would have to reschedule. That was on February 16th and to this day (May 9th) I still haven't received a response. My husband cleared the p-trap (which Oscar never touched either time he was out) and jetted the line again and it's been working ever since. We will never use him again. He's overpriced and lacks integrity. read more

Had a backed up sink and was having a hard time finding someone who was available to come out same day. I got call backs from several plumbers, but went with Oscar because he said he could be out in an hour. Came out and tried to snake the drain, but it didn't fix the issue. He recommended trying to clear out the clog with lye, but said it would need to drain all the way down before we could use that. He said he would go pick some up and return within 1-2 hours. Some time had passed and he then mentioned he was stuck on a job and would be back before 5pm. No problem. As of about 3pm, I never heard from him again. I texted him several times with no response, called and got his voicemail, I finally gave up after 7:30 pm and realized I was never going to hear from him again. By the time I got to calling other plumbers back, no one had any availability until the following week. read more

Just bought a townhouse and two weeks in, a clean out in the garage was leaking. I got an invoice from the seller for the work New Millenium did back in August where they created that clean out. Called them up to see if it was covered under any warranty and they said it depends. They came out the next day, showed up late, and just tightened something and said I wouldn't have any more issues. Cool. Decided to hire them to do some hydro jetting on two other drains and they showed up late again. Didn't think much of it since I figured it was just a busy day. Within the next couple days, the clean out that was leaking burst and just leaked anything coming from the kitchen upstairs. Decided to call them up again to ask if they could come take a look again. Oscar said he'd be there at 9:30 AM the following day. 9:30 AM passed so I called him and he said they were running late again so I told him it was no problem and to just let me know what time they would be heading over that day. I sent him a text with the video of the clean out and got no response. Called and texted a couple more times throughout the day and then figured it was going to be a no-show/no-response type of thing. Ended up calling a different plumber that said the work from August was done incorrectly and he had to redo it. Now there might be potential water damage in the walls because of it. From my experience, they will do the work the first time but won't come back if there's an actual issue with what they did. read more

I want to give a huge shout out to Oscar from New Millennium Plumbing. We were referred by a friend who had to have his deck drains cleared. He told me Oscar came and did a wonderful job and was so pleased. I called Oscar and he made time to me in his schedule. My deck drains were in bad condition. I had many estimates for this job and Oscar was very reasonable. He wasn't pushy and figured out exactly what the problem was and fixed it. We had our main line clogged so we called new millennium plumbing after reading all the good reviews spoke to Oscar they came out about 8:30 pm and jetted the main line took all of 5 min and I paid them $160 and they left about 10 min after that it was backing up again so I called them and they said they can come back the next day because it was so late. I agreed ! Well the next day came and they said they couldn't come till 8:30 pm again and I said ok no worries BUT then they said they would have to charge another service call!!!! I replied and said why??? You should of just came back last night and fixed the problem then. After that no response I've tried calling several times and texting and NO one will respond. I've had to sit here with my children for two days with no shower or toilets. Very unprofessional I would NOT recommend them. Although pricing is fair I guess you get what you pay for. I couldn't even get an estimate from Millenium. So I even tried to get work done from them but nope. How can I give them more than 1 star? They have left me hanging for two weeks. Ridiculous. I selected Millennium based on the great Yelp reviews. Here's my experience: for the estimate appointment, they were 30 minutes late. Then I was told I would get the estimate for the work the following day. I heard nothing for about a week. I messaged the owner who I was already in contact with, that I haven't yet heard how much the job would be. I get this message back "I do apologize for the inconvenience its $89 labor for each cartridge we install + cartridge fee." I responded saying I don't know what a cartridge is, and what is the cartridge fee? I plainly responded: "Ok, sorry I'm not sure what a cartridge means. What would the total be for fixing the dripping shower, leaky sink faucet base, and lose tub handles" That was over a week ago and no response at all! What kind of plumber gives you an estimate talking about cartridges and cartridge fee!? Just tell me how much the job is. Period. Very disappointed. read more

After two successful jobs at our home over the past year and a half, I can truly and honestly highly recommend New Millennium Plumbing & Rooter. Oscar and his partners have resolved our plumbing needs, the first an emergency issue, the second a more preemptive type work. About a year a half ago the shower began leaking at first slowly, and then ultimately to the point the bathroom floor ended in a nice large pond after a shower. Oscar quickly assessed the issue and explained the issue with a few options for fixing. What I really liked here was that he gave us budgeting options to choose from. The first of course being to resolve the target issue quick with the least cost. Then from there, step ups with replacement options/upgrades beyond the valve causing issues. As I mentioned, It has been well over a year and the shower is working perfectly! The second job was just this week. The water line in the backyard to the hose was severely corroded. Not only is it now replaced and looking fresh, clean, and new, but they adjusted the height of the faucet to a more ergonomic position. I recommend New Millenium, Oscar came out was punctual, was very courteous and a very good plumber. He quickly diagnosed my plumbing problem, he showed me my main line sewer pipe with his sewer camera and unfortunately my sewer collapsed due to old age he made sure to let me know he would take care of me. He located my pipe, gave me his proposal, I couldn't say no! He excavated an exposed the section of pipe and sure enough broken mainline. This is a late post, as the plumbing issues were taken care of back in July 28, 2016. Oscar gave us the best customer service from the very start. His over the phone quote was the best price, and his work was quick and precise. New Millennium replaced flange, replaced toilet, installed new kitchen sink faucet and replaced shower stems. Oscor and his helper Louis put a lot of efforts unclogged my drain pipe in my yard. First I called them came out for hydro jetting, because every time when storm hits, my side yard got water accumulation. However, the hydro jetting didn't help with the drain on one side of the yard. Then we decided to dig down. Louis spent more than 4 hours digging, then he found out the drain pipe was smashed by 2 big tree roots, plus there was small roots grown inside of the narrow smashed pipe. They were very professional, not only did a great job but also answered my questions and keep me updated with the progress of work. Plus their price was very reasonable. Called their number listed here, met with a voicemail/recording and then received a text to say what the problem is. I reply about a busted toilet, and am told to send pictures. I do and....no reply. Could have called several other plumbers if I wasn't trying to be nice and wait for these guys to get back to me. I even texted the next day to ask if they ever got the pictures, and still no reply. I needed a plumber to fix an issue I had under my kitchen sink. I am selling my house and escrow is set to close after the holiday weekend. The last thing I needed done to satisfy the buyer was to bring the plumbing under my sink to code. I called Oscar around 10:00 this morning and we made an appointment for 10:00-11:00 tomorrow morning. Towards the end of my work day Oscar texted me saying he finished a job early and was able to come tonight at 5:00. He showed up on time, was very nice and fixed my issue in a very short amount of time. My 2 year old son loves to be involved in everything that's going on and Oscar was playing along and entertaining him. We talked a little bit and he told me he has 4 young kids under 5. All of these people leaving reviews about him not calling or maybe forgetting to respond probably should realize that a man with 4 kids might have some important things come up once in a while making your problem a secondary priority of his.
