I consistently get the mushrooms, swai fillets (they have salmon now too), orange chicken, sesame chicken (although it could be a little more crispy ), and the beef & broccoli . Whether this food is authentic or not, I don't care..I've always preferred "Americanized " ethnic food anyway . It's a good buffet, and it beats going to Golden Corral anyday! read more

I'm a fan! This place is a truly no-frills, inexpensive Chinese buffet...with a little bit of everything for even the pickiest of eaters. They had your standard dishes (fried rice, egg rolls, soup, etc.), but I was most surprised to find spicy crab (so delicious & meaty) and battered shrimp. Wish I could give a half of star. Have been patronizing this business since I moved to Texas in 2005 and thought my family and I had found our forever Chinese Restaurant. This past visit was the second time that we have had the same NASTY ATTITUDE having waitress. We could barely get our party seated before she was in between us asking for drink orders, as soon as she brought some of the drinks (not even all of them) she was asking how to split the ticket. When she began to bring in the remaining drinks and refills she reached over the table instead of walking around (reaching pass heads and plates and unapologetic in doing so,) when asked to walk around and not reach over she threw her hands up yelling ok ok while walking out. She then returned and asked one of the children at the end of the table how to split up the check. I went to the front and asked the Hostess about a to go order she began to bang her hands on the desk asking if that was all (anything else) in between huffing and began to raise her voice about separating our tickets. I then advised we had no problem doing so but the waitress was not allowing us a chance to even enjoy a plate of food and her attitude is just as nasty as hers. I cancelled my to go and just grabbed hubby some food from the buffet, but this was and will be my last time patronizing New New Buffet, we are a family of eight so when we go we do buffet and then would order food to go so thank you New New Buffet for saving me hundreds of dollars. This review is long overdue. I have been going to New New for years and there service and quality of food is steadily declining. I am at the point I would never go back. The food is old and bland. The service is subpar, I never got a refill on soda even after asking. At the end of the day, there was a roach on the table and one on the wall. It's very very clean inside, spacious, very well lit and the foods are actually kept at safe temperatures. The peel and eat shrimp was COLD and the teriyaki chicken was HOT....that's always a good sign. They usually have a good variety of chicken, beef, pork and fish entrees; as well as soups, salad, sushi, sauces and side items. And the desserts -- very nice variety. Yes, it's a buffet! It's been a while since I went to a Chinese food buffet, I was hesitant to go, but I was told this place was pretty good. Food was surprisingly fresh, the interior was really clean, neat, and spacious. Their soft serve ice cream is Micky D's quality! New New Buffet in Addison was my favorite place to eat, until today. I loved it so, so very much, it was a great pleasure to invite family and friends to share food with me there ...until today. That's because, today, after having 7 teeth pulled, I went there for lunch, but, after realizing it would take me probably an hour to slowly chew this food with my sore mouth, I ask for a container to take my leftovers home. I came here based on all the happy reviews about this place. After a 2 hour photo shoot and a 2 hour drive, I was pretty tired and hungry. This place really fit the bill! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. 1. Friendly staff and great service (probably the only buffet I've ever been to where a 25% tip was warranted!) 2. Food that is an APPROPRIATE TEMPERATURE. 3. I was unfortunately subjected to this place when I had a meeting here. There is a wide array of food, and they do constantly re-fresh it. The wait staff is very nice. BUT, the food lacks variety and is low end. They do have crab, but it is dried out and gross. I'm sure a lot of that fried and starchy stuff appeals to the crowd that solicits this establishment, but it is not what I enjoy. No, no, no. For cheap, Americanized Chinese food I will be sticking with Ancient China in Farmers Branch. For GREAT Chinese food, which I prefer over the Americanized stuff, I'll be going to Yao Fuzi in Plano. Holy shitake mushrooms. This place was very disappointing which sacked because I wanted to like this place so bad. First of all when we walked in we were greeted by a lady who seemed to be insulted by our presence. To be honest I think she made a face at us. As far as buffets go, this one has managed to impress me. Clean, well lit, fresh HOT food these are all good adjectives when you're talking buffet. It was Sunday around 2 and my friend and I were hungry for lunch. When he said he wanted Chinese buffet, I nervously looked at the clock, but agreed. I feel like buffets can only be good when there are a lot of people, so the food is replaced quickly. Well, when we pulled up to the restaurant, I was surprised to see so many cars in the parking lot. There were tons of tables filled and more people coming in during our meal. They have the usual suspects: jalapeno chicken, sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, you've seen em all. Also, orange beef wasn't a sugary, syrupy mess! They also have snow crab and peel and eat shrimp complete with melted, hot, butter and cocktail sauce. I was really impressed with how often I saw kitchen people come out and refill food and clean the areas. There were 1 row of hot foods, another of the fried variety, 1 for desserts, 1 for fruit and salads, and 1 for cold items like the crab and "sushi". Their chinese ghetto donuts were the right consistency and a good way to end my meal. When I paid (9.99 Sunday buffet) I asked how long the place had been in business. Surely it was new right? No way they could have been doing this for a while, buffets don't really have a good, healthy life span. Well folks, they have been open for 9 years. I absolutely Love this place that is located in Addison on Marsh Lane/Beltline Road. Nestled in the Shopping Strip Center. I have been hooked for the Last 3 Months that I had been introduced to this place. The food is always Fresh and piping Hot. They make sure there is always more Food coming out to fill the Food Bar area's. The price is well worth it and I also may add that the Service is Great as well, The waitresses make sure that your glass is always filled and they always are kind and courteous as well. I make it a point to go 2 or 3 times a month to get my Chinese food quick fix. I would for sure recommend this place and I love the Cleanliness of this facility! I always make sure I go where all the crowds are and that usually is a tell-tell sign that the food is Awesome there! I was REALLY hoping for better after seeing lots of good reviews online and from a friend saying it was a good buffet. I know Chinese buffets will never have "great" food, or authentic Chinese (I'm a foodie, I know what to expect) but this was sub par for a buffet. The selection of "chinese" was small. Of 5 rows of food, one was chinese, one was salad, 2 were desserts and one was fried crap and soup (hot and sour was actually pretty decent). There were a few acceptable items (chicken terriyaki, "jalapeño" chicken) and service was great (constant refills and friendly staff) but not worth the money. Also, because of the small selection of actual asian food, the fresh tray of beef and broccoli was emptied out within a few minutes. The back area is loud and the servers dominat several tables with a silverware wrapping and personal eating. They also sit all the large hispanic families with toms of children in that area. My friend says that you can tell how good a buffet is by the number of 300 pounders seated nearby with full plates of food. I'm here to tell you that at New New Chinese Buffet there will be enough there to fill the Cowboys' offensive and defensive lines with plenty left over to trade for a real quarterback. Chinese buffets can certainly be scary. I've visited a few like Chinese Super Buffet on Trinity Mills where you look at the pans of food and wonder what truck it fell off. When I entered New New Buffet, I was immediately petrified. Just past the door there is an enormous gold placard that contains some sort of manifesto detailing how "New New" means "little girl" in Chinese. Did that mean the Moo Goo Gai Pan would contain gummy bears and be cooked in an Easy Bake oven? New New is a safe bet, however, so you can breathe easy when you visit. A $5.99 lunch gets you access to a boat load of typical favorites: Sweet & Sour Chicken/Pork, Sesame Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, Fried Rice, Lo Mein, etc. Additionally, you'll find a table with sushi, dim sum, french fries, and chicken wings. The quality and flavor ceratinly exceeds that of Panda Express and rivals it in price for lunch. You won't be bringing your spouse there to celebrate your wedding anniversary, but it could become a regular destination to quell those hunger pangs on random afternoons. One last thing....feel free to fill up on entrees because you might not want to save room for dessert. Sure, there's a table filled with cookies and junk. Most appear store bought, though. Sadly, I think they were bought at a general store long before Texas became a state and have sat out ever since. When you're full, just grab your fortune cookie and head for the door. This has to be the most impressive Chinese buffet I've eaten at. Just the sheer amount of items offered is amazing, but what really sets this place apart is the quality of the food. Unlike most Chinese buffets I've been to, this one has food that is much better than one would get from Panda Express. The biggest surprise was the Orange Beef. It is so incredibly rare that I find a place with good Orange Beef, and while this wasn't the best I've had, it was darn good. At $6.95 for lunch this is well worth the money.
