Mango Tango roll, shakespeare roll, kamikaze roll
    Alfred L.

I ordered the Mango Tango roll, Shakespeare roll, and Kamikaze roll. The Mango Tango roll was super sweet. Honestly, it was hard to taste much besides the mango. It worked more like a fun "dessert roll" than a savory one. The Kamikaze roll was decent, and the ponzu sauce added a nice hit of umami that brought it together. The Shakespeare roll was the standout for me, really well-balanced. The creaminess of the avocado paired perfectly with the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail.

Stopped for a late lunch/early dinner and this place sounded good. So glad we did! Warmly greeted as we walked in the door. We ordered a potsticker appetizer , a Yaki Soba noodle dish with veggies, and a Lion King sushi roll all to share. Everything came out quickly with a nice presentation. It was all delicious. We would definitely return when in Medford.

Food was delicious as always but somehow tasted different. We found out later that it now under new management. Perhaps that's why I didn't see Kay (the owner) when I came in. It has probably been a couple of months since our last meal here, we saw new dishes on the menu too. Was excited to try their bibimbop, which was delicious. The server explained a little bit about bibimbop when the food arrived. Excited to hear that online order is now available on their website!

Ok so I had been wanting sushi for a while now and I was starving. As per usual lol so me and a friend stopped in here because another yelper wrote this was the best sushi in town and she didn't lie and New Sakura did not disappoint. I ordered the alligator roll.. relax it doesn't have gator but I mean gator is good too. That's another review for some other day. Anywho I ordered one with soft shell crab, imitation crab and eel and whatever those black little eggs are on top, i forgot and then another one with shrimp and crab and my friend got whatever those are in the back of the picture lol they were good and she really liked them. Everything was fresh and delicious. They have a lot of food options and SAKE!! Our server was nice and the price wasn't too bad. IMO It's a lot of rolls. I would definitely go back.

Decent sushi place. Food was decent. Sushi tasted fresh. I wish the kids teriyaki had less sauce on the rice and serve it as a side option. Overall. Good meal.

Sushi was well made and prices were very reasonable. The proportions of the roll were perfect - no one element overpowered another and the quantity of fish was generous. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I also thought the mussels were delicious and not overly dressed. The Rainbow roll was well made but tasted oddly of bananas. My friends agreed as well. I have no complaints otherwise!

Sushi fresh, plenty of options. Service a tad bit slow. We arrived and waited about 10 mins for a table. After that, we were informed that sushi would take about 30 mins if we ordered. Well, we figured might as well since we were there. Started with the tofu and the hamachi collar. The collar was undercooked, so we sent it back and had it redone. It was super tasty when it was cooked properly, even the kids liked it. Finally the sushi arrived, it was fresh and fair amount of fish to rice ratio. Good sushi, service a bit lacking.

Good food tucked away in an unassuming location. Very flavorful Yakisoba. Attentive and kind staff.

This place is very underrated. Excellent sushi! The ambiance isn't the best, but who cares when the food makes up for it. Outstanding.

This business has changed hands and has different owners now. Unfortunately the food and sushi is not the same.

The firecrackers (fried stuffed jalapeños) were flavorful, well cooked, and lightly crisp. The crispy jalapeño roll was delicious and even my husband who doesn't do raw fish ate it up. The ceviche roll was a creative fusion surprise, it was very fresh and flavorful. We also had their fusion fish taco, which was a flat panko breaded fish tender that was served on a fresh corn tortilla with guac and a surprisingly delicious chipotle sauce. We also enjoyed the drinks, a refreshing sprite/tequila/lime juice combo served in an olla, a touch we really enjoyed. This Mexican/japanese fusion place came highly recommended by many people and I can see why! The service was absolutely impeccable despite the place being packed. The whole crew was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

It's like having the Korean Chirashi "protein style". It's absolutely fresh, flavorful, well balance with pickled veggies and raw spiraled diakon and beet. They make their own spicy house sauce that would be good on everything. It has a tang, but I wouldn't call it "spicy". If you want a big, fresh, sashimi mixed salad with steamed rice and a bowl of miso soup... order the Korean Chirashi for $25. It hits all the taste buds. I always have leftovers, it's very filling but does not feel at all heavy :D NOTE: This is one place that takes the same level of care with TO GO Orders as they do for sit-down. That is a rarity nowadays. 5-stars!
