The dress fit perfectly afterward and they completed it within a week, earlier than the pickup date I had asked for. The main issue for me was the organization during pickup. I received a text saying my dress was ready, but when I arrived they brought out a completely different piece of clothing even after I clearly described my dress. Turns out they had mixed up the name tags between my dress and someone else's. I ended up going to the back with them and immediately spotted my dress myself. I pointed it out and they asked if I was sure it was mine, which was a little strange. Then they asked me to try it on. At first I thought they just wanted to confirm the alterations looked right, but it turned out they wanted to see if it fit me to determine whether it was actually my dress. Thankfully it fit like a glove. Even after that, they still seemed unsure so I showed Yelp messages I had previously sent with photos of the dress, along with my receipt and even how much I paid. I usually throw receipts away, so thank goodness I still had it. After confirming in multiple different ways, they finally let me take my dress home. Another woman was also there picking up clothing after receiving a text notification and they were struggling to locate her item too, so it didn't seem like an isolated issue. Overall, I think the tailoring work itself is solid, but the shop felt pretty disorganized. The guy working there did apologize before I left, which I appreciated, but the whole process of having to repeatedly prove the dress was mine was definitely frustrating.

I went in with a wool trench coat that needed a hem, taken in at the waist, and sleeves shortened. She said $150 just for the shoulders to be done, $150 for the hem, and total would be about $500. I had forgotten the price of what the hem was so I asked again, and she changed her mind and she said $200 just for a hem... she changed it from $150 to $200. The coat itself was $270, and it as quoted $500. So I left. I went to another tailor with excellent reviews and she quoted me $80 for all 3 things. Again, I'm sure they would do an amazing job, but I did not like how I was being scammed and this deterred me from ever going back or recommending them to anyone.

My favorite part is that all the machines are high quality and take credit card. It's so nice to not have to hoard cash for trips here, just swipe and go! Both the left and right walls are completely filled with dryers, so there are always plenty of empties to choose from. While there isn't a ton of stuff to do in the immediate area, I have been able to pop over to a neighboring Vietnamese restaurant for dinner while waiting. I was in panic. One of my best friend's wedding was in 6 days and my dress didn't fit. I knew I gained weight traveling during winter break but come on!! I went to my usual places but they said they couldn't do it. More panic. Well, yelp to the rescue, and after couple places, I arrived at New SOS cleaners. I walked in and the people were super friendly. I told them about my situation and how I didn't have that much time. We got to work and the lady was very professional. She had an excellent eye for how the dress should fit. It was done in 4 days and with perfect fit!! I even got a discount for being a new customer!! I love this cleaners, since they always try their hardest to get it right. They have lengthened my pants and sleeves on my coats. And most importantly, they brought my winter white coat back to life after it sat dirty and stained in my closet all summer long. Great work. I stood there for about 10 minutes pleading for a solution and insuring them over and over again that this is not how i brought the pants in and told them the pink stain is now gone which means they did work on the pants. They claimed they didn't touch them which is impossible. After ahwile they started ignoring me and told me to leave and come back in 4 days.

If you go home, and then days later find a rip, it's not really valid or fair to assume the dry cleaners did it. Be nice, this family is running their business to make our lives easier. Mistakes happen.
