My dress was a way too big in some places and snug in others but also had a lot of detailing that makes it difficult to hem or alter. I was very stressed about getting it altered. On my first appointment, Niki walked me through everything she was going to do step by step and explained in detail what it was going to look like and answered all of my 1 million questions on what she was going to cut, what she wasn't going to cut where she was going to buttons, etc. Throughout the process, she happily addressed all my concerns at every appointment. You can tell Niki takes great pride in her work and I love that. It fits me like a glove now and I'm thrilled with how it came out! The people at this shop are so warm and friendly and make you feel right at home. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a dress altered. Mine felt like it was going to be impossible to get right because of the details and construction of the dress but Niki really came through. Just make sure you bring in your clothes with plenty of time to alter because Niki cares deeply about the quality of her work and she won't want to do a sloppy rush job on your garments! And really, isn't that exactly the kind of care you want from your tailor? 10/10 would recommend!

I went in with a wool trench coat that needed a hem, taken in at the waist, and sleeves shortened. She said $150 just for the shoulders to be done, $150 for the hem, and total would be about $500. I had forgotten the price of what the hem was so I asked again, and she changed her mind and she said $200 just for a hem... she changed it from $150 to $200. The coat itself was $270, and it as quoted $500. So I left. I went to another tailor with excellent reviews and she quoted me $80 for all 3 things. Again, I'm sure they would do an amazing job, but I did not like how I was being scammed and this deterred me from ever going back or recommending them to anyone.

I was in panic. One of my best friend's wedding was in 6 days and my dress didn't fit. I knew I gained weight traveling during winter break but come on!! I went to my usual places but they said they couldn't do it. More panic. Well, yelp to the rescue, and after couple places, I arrived at New SOS cleaners. I walked in and the people were super friendly. I told them about my situation and how I didn't have that much time. We got to work and the lady was very professional. She had an excellent eye for how the dress should fit. It was done in 4 days and with perfect fit!! I even got a discount for being a new customer!! I love this cleaners, since they always try their hardest to get it right. They have lengthened my pants and sleeves on my coats. And most importantly, they brought my winter white coat back to life after it sat dirty and stained in my closet all summer long. Great work. There is also always parking, a flashing light zone right in front on Irving and one on Broadway always insures you can get in and out quickly. read more

I took my wedding dress here to be cleaned after reading reviews, and this place lives up to their reviews. The bottom of my dress was VERY dirty after getting married outside in Colorado...and it came back looking wonderful! I stood there for about 10 minutes pleading for a solution and insuring them over and over again that this is not how i brought the pants in and told them the pink stain is now gone which means they did work on the pants. They claimed they didn't touch them which is impossible. After ahwile they started ignoring me and told me to leave and come back in 4 days.

I dropped my dress off and came back five days later and it's perfect! It fits me so well and is the perfect length. I did spend a bit more than i wanted, but i understand the dress wasn't a standard one and I needed it to look good since i'll be wearing it a lot for work.
