Finally, a place that delivers and is decent! We got vegetable dumplings, dim sum, won ton soup. general tso chicken, beef ho fun and then my usual which is steamed chicken and broccoli sauce on the side and house hot mustard. Everything was really good- it all had flavor, the dumpling and the won tons in the soup were great, a smidge doughy but that's it. They were very nice and efficient answering the phone, knew the area and exceeded expectations. Everything was extremely well packaged and it comes in a cute little reusable tote. 100% would order here again, well done! read more

The food was amazing. I had a lunch special with delicious hot and sauer soup, just the right amount of spice, and chicken with eggplant which was the best Chinese eggplant I ever had! It's basically a take out place with a few tables but it's clean and comfortable, the food was relatively inexpensive and was ready quickly. I was with 2 other people, all of us enjoyed the food, and the portions were generous. We all had extra to take home. I will definitely go back and I hope soon. read more

We've been looking for a good Chinese place for a while. I feel like a broken record but our place just isn't doing as well as they used to. I decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad I did. I have ordered from New Yee Wo many times. Their food can be hit or miss. I was very disappointed this evening when I ordered through GrubHub and asked for an entree with no vegetables. I then opened my email to find that they had adjusted my price and charged an extra $2 -- 20% the cost of the entree. I will not be ordering from them again. read more

Food was hot and fresh. I feel like a few places in the area have been serving old food or heating up leftovers and dishing them out. I've been here a few times now and it has been excellent each time. We will keep coming as long as the food stays consistent! Very happy! After three years of searching for a good Chinese spot in Suffolk, I think I finally found one. The customer service was really good, they were very polite and patient with me and fulfilled some custom requests I had for my order. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a typical takeout spot but it did look much more clean and organized in there than other places I've been to. But I think the most important thing here is how good the food is. I decided to try them out because they had a deal where you got a free pork fried rice if you spend $40 or more. I got their orange chicken with white rice, their fried chicken wings with pork fried rice, their wonton soup and their French fries. I like my orange/ sesame/ general t'sos chicken to be crunchy on the outside so I requested that they make my orange chicken extra crispy. The worker understood the assignment perfectly and the texture of the chicken far exceeded my expectations. It was perfect. The fried chicken wings where exactly what I've been searching for out here in Suffolk. Most Chinese places just haven't been able to make good fried chicken wings out here but I'm happy to say that New Yee Wo kitchen has got it. They were the perfect size with a nice crunchy exterior but moist and juicy on the inside. Their pork fried rice is by far the best one I've had out here in Suffolk. I even ended up eating the free pint I got the next day and normally fried rice doesn't reheat well in the microwave but this one was still delicious a day after! Their crinkle cut French fries were fried to perfection and had a nice crunchy exterior and soft interior. Their wonton soup had a nice flavorful broth and the fried noodles they include with it were a good quality. The wontons themselves were delicious and meaty on the inside. I know I'm gonna be coming here for soup when I'm sick or on a cold day. Overall, New Yee Wo kitchen has left a lasting impression on me. After the first time trying it, I couldn't stop craving it the days that followed and went back two days later. I still got the same great quality of food and immaculate service. Sufficed to say, as of November 10, 2023, this place gets 5/5 stars to me. read more

The reason for 2 stars is the hot and sour soup is very decent. Everything else was horrible! The egg roll was mushy, greasy, and burnt all at the same time, just gross. The sesame chicken although a good portion was lacking any taste and the chicken was so chewy. The boneless ribs were the thinest pieces of meat ever, each piece was burnt and tasted only of burnt. Definitely one of the better Chinese spots in the area. The combo plates are evenly portioned not 3/4 rice like some other places. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Delivery times can sometimes be a while (an hour or more) but it's expected during dinner time. I just had the most greassy and rushed order from them. Usually the food is good but the past 2 times have been nasty. The fried Wantons were definitely redipped in the fryer and were so soggy and disgusting. They never let the ribs sit to reduce the grease and just slop some bbq sauce on and box it up. This place has gone downhill. The lobby looks disgusting with the ugly no-contact partitions. At least they could have painted them. It looks and feels you are buying drugs in a 3rd world country. Walked in never greeted, they were to busy on the phone to look up. Ordered takeout which took forever, not that they were busy. The take your money up front so you can't walk out because of the wait. Then they give me the wrong order. They are higher priced than other lunch specials and it not worth it. We had gotten the menu in the mail a while ago and stuck it on our fridge. Accidentally grabbed it instead of the regular place we go to. We decided to give it a try anyway and I'm really happy to say it was all really good. We got the cheese wontons, sweet and sour chicken, and four various lunch specials. I placed the order with someone who was very clear and concise and went over the order to make sure she had everything. The order was correct when we got it home, and they were very generous with sauces and fortune cookies. I am absolutely stuffed and glad we tried this place. It was all delicious. read more

I only gave it 1 star because I can't leave none. First of all they charged me extra delivery fee and it's only 4 miles away. Ordered boneless spareribs and they were like little hard sticks. The first time we ordered from here it was because it was the closest one in location. We ordered over the phone for delivery and they told us a half hour wait. An hour passed, so we called back to confirm they weren't lost and they were very rude about it and said it was coming soon. 1.5 hours passed and still didn't get it. At this point we are starving and just wanted to cancel our order if it wasn't going to arrive. Called back again and stated that if they hadn't yet made it we would like to cancel but they said it was en route, and we finally got after 2 hours. I'm not sure if they forgot about it or what, but it was unacceptable. We ordered the boneless spare ribs which were quite good so nothing to complain about there. We've ordered from there a few times since then for delivery and they've been prompt with their timing. However, again today we ordered for pickup and they said 15 minutes so arrived on time but still had to wait another 20+ minutes. I gave 3 stars since the food is good and the restaurant seems clean enough but customer service isn't great, parking lot is sketch and wait time too long. read more

This review is more about my experience in order placing. And I should have read the reviews before ordering- I see I am not that only one to have an issue. Placed an on-line order for pick-up. Figured 10-15 minutes for pick up. I show up at the restaurant and they don't have my order. No apology or anything. She just asks what I ordered, charges me, and I wait about 10 minutes for them to make my order. For this I deduct 2 stars. As I am waiting, I notice my order was still sitting on the fax machine. So, FYI if you place an on line order, call and confirm they have seen it. And as a side note, ordered the cashew chicken and it was decent. Adequate amount of chicken and tasted fresh. read more

We have been ordering from this place for about a year. Usually I would call an order in and then go and pick it up. I never had any problems with the service when I did that . You can order online now, and the few times I have done that, there have been problems. The first time, I placed an order around 5 pm and because something went wrong with the online system, it was nearly 8 pm before we got our meal delivered. Yes, they did try and make it up to us by throwing in an appetizer and the delivery man was very friendly. The second time, the order did not go through again. I was very impressed with this restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the Chef's Choice General Tso Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice. It was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and it was loaded with medium sized shrimp (not the 6 tiny ones that you get when you order the usual shrimp fried rice). The roasted pork egg was also good. The chicken was sauteed with sliced carrots, beans and mushrooms. My kids enjoyed the fried chicken wings with french fries. I even had left overs. I would eat here again. read more

Place used to be ok if you want cheap and you're too lazy to leave the house. There are two people who do phone orders: a man and a woman. If you get the woman, you're ok. If you get the man? We were using the same chinese restaurant for almost 25 yrs. The cook changed and we were getting jipped. So, a neighbor recommended New Yee Wo. We have been going there ever since. We have never had a problem with the young women who takes the order. Sometimes, maybe it has to do with the day or time of order, delivery can seem too long. However, we have never had chinese food that could compare to New Yee! They use fresh vegestables; they actually put vegetables in every order; meat is plentiful and we have loved everything we have tried. We highly recommend trying this restaurant out. Horrible customer service. I ordered a pescatarian meal, get home to find pork in the container. Called to inquire, was questioned about my order and told he knows they made a shrimp meal. Was told I need to bring they the meal and they would provide a new dish. I arrive at the restaurant to have the counter person inspect the meal and say it's shrimp. I showed him the pork to be told "so he put a piece of pork in it". The person was arrogant and when I told him I don't eat meat, he questioned me about not eating meat and gave me a nasty look as if he didn't believe me. read more
