Farmhouse bagel
Addie W.

I've been to this location twice now with no issues. My bf and I both got the Farmhouse bagel, and I got an iced coffee as well. We did pickup through the app, and our order was waiting for us on the pickup shelf about 10 minutes after placing the order! We ordered on a Sunday around 9AM. The inside isn't anything fancy, but they have plenty of tables inside and out. It felt clean and tidy. I was nervous to order from here the second time around after reading all the negative reviews--but we had a great experience!

Food is always great! Staff friendly! Always a go to place when busy with work or a full day of errands! Coffee is good too! Vanilla iced coffee is

Nice to see that this place finally reopened the dining area after 4 years, however the service is always subpar. Today I was given a visibly burnt bagel that is not edible.

Unfortunately they do not allow indoor seating currently so be prepared to take it with you. Bagels are ok but not so good that I will make a trip to Cornelius to get a bagel.

Never seen this little of cream cheese before

Well I will make this short and sweet, well not really sweet but short I grabbed a cinnamon raisin bagel not toasted with cream cheese and one of the twice baked hash brown thingies. When I open the bagel I was shocked at the amount of cream cheese that it was lacking but I decided to bite into it anyway without going back in and grabbing more cream cheese. The Cream cheese was definitely 100% sour and also had a little oniony taste to it in little chunks of old cream cheese that were hard in it. Gross! I don't know if it was old or they were using the same spreader for different cream cheese. I went back in to return it and get something different and the gentleman let me taste the cream cheese to make sure that it was the right cream cheese on the bagel and sure enough it definitely was and it was still sour and funny tasting. So I decided to get a cinnamon raisin bagel not toasted with butter. I'm glad I was watching because he was just about to pop it in the oven and I asked for it not toasted. I ate it and it was fine. Then I went to eat the hash brown thingy end it was so stuck to the paper that it probably wasted 25% of it if not more. I don't know if he was supposed to bake it in that paper or not but it was impossible to get off the paper. They are also definitely lacking in customer service! It was my first time there and definitely my last there are other Bruegger's around with better customer service and food made correctly and not spoiled. Well I guess that wasn't short and sweet after all.

you really can't stay here

It was COVIDing out and I was feeling a bit bagely. hadn't Brueggered since I was midway out in the midwest so I figured I'd have a go to go. the signage claims pick up or carry out only and since all the chairs were tabled they obviously meant it. took a look at the menu board and requested pastrami-egg-swiss on a cheesy hashbrown, plus another cheesy hashbrown, two everythings, and schmear. not matter how thin the pastrami is sliced I'd prefer mine just a little bit more thinlier... so that's that... otherwise a blast of brown mustard makes for a very good sandwich on a soft fresh bagel! perhaps too soft? in my inflated opinion today's selections lacked sufficient bite and chew for stand alone bagelry (notwithstanding MLB's opinions to the contrary) but they are quite tasty and more than adequate for sandwiching eggs, meats, and cheeses or just schmearing. not quite the bagel experience I was hoping for but still giving props for fast friendly service, full-on non-seating plague protocol, and yum...

They were training someone new making bagels, but the store was still running very smoothly, and the bagels were really good. 5 stars.

Fresh Egg - Where Diets Go to Die (Happily)…read more Our group of 4 1/2 (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late ) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast... and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. Fresh Egg you cracked the code.

This spot delivers exactly what it promises, making it a reliable choice for the area. To start, the coffee was great--hot, fresh, and strong. For my main dish, I opted for a Western omelette. It was perfectly fine, a solid choice, if not spectacular. My husband had the egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I'm docking a star is for the side of corn muffins I ordered. They were, unfortunately, a complete letdown. They were hard, dry, and truly tasted like small stones. Even piling on the soft, fresh butter couldn't save them. However, the excellent service and the positive experience with the main dishes and coffee easily outweigh one bad side item. We had a good meal overall, and I would definitely go back again (and just skip the corn muffins next time!).

The place looks like a pub, inside and out, with a huge patio in the rear. All the workers we encountered were really polite and personable. It was very clean inside, even the bathrooms. We pretty much knew what we wanted but enjoyed looking at the menu anyway. Started off with a 20 oz Black & Tan and a 16 oz Harps. So good. My husband had the Fish and Chips. Perfect fry, thick and flaky fish, served with a side of malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The slaw was crisp and savory and the fries crisp. He loved every bite. I had the Bangers and Mash. The sausage was tender with a delicious onion gravy. Some veggies were included (green beans, cauliflower and carrot). The mash itself was creamy and chunky, just the way I love it. Complete comfort food. We ended the meal by splitting a dish of Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was sweet and savoury, with a hint of salt to balance, topped with vanilla ice cream and more toffee sauce. (I haven't had a Sticky Toffee Pudding since I was a child and this was such a delicious treat to share.) The whole experience was exceptional and we cannot wait to go back.

I don't throw those words around lightly. I'm a breakfast professional. I've traveled. I've eaten. I've sacrificed stretchy waistbands for less. First of all Kayla J. Service? VIP. Celebrity status. I felt like I walked in with a security detail. The way she checked on us? I thought she was about to hand me a Grammy. Attentive, friendly, and faster than my metabolism trying to survive those portions. Now let's talk FOOD. The corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs? My goodness. The eggs were perfectly cooked -- that yolk broke open like it had something to prove. The corned beef? Crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there supervising the kitchen. The potatoes? Golden. Crunchy. Faith restored. And these portions?? They don't believe in small plates here. They believe in "Cancel your lunch plans" plates. I wasn't eating breakfast... I was entering a commitment. You know it's serious when you're halfway through and start negotiating with yourself: "Alright... one more bite... for America." And don't even get me started on the pancakes. Fluffy like they were trained in altitude. Powdered sugar falling like breakfast confetti. Absolute madness. Famous Toastery in Davidson isn't just breakfast it's a spiritual experience with syrup. 10/10. Would return. Would loosen belt again. There are many great options to choose from especially if you want to go the healthy route. There are pancakes, waffles, etc on the menu too. The portions are good since you get sides depending on your meal choice. The place has a nice farmhouse cafe vibe with wood tables and spacing is good. Now the bad: There were mugs already on the table which I do not care for, because I'm not sure they take them away for each table. I wanted hot tea, but when I looked in, it was dirty. The other mug was clean so that was the one I used. I got my hot water, tea bags, cream and honey packets to make my tea, but I don't get a spoon. I'm not sure why they don't give teaspoons, but when I asked for a spoon, I got a large soup spoon. Not sure about this. We placed our orders and everything came out fine, except when I started eating my bowl of fruit side, all the grapes were brown on top. Seems like something noticeable that is not as fresh to serve to a customer. Disappointed with this too. Another thing to mention, we had to ask for water refills. Then when someone brought over a refill they brought a carafe. Why not start out with the carafe? Server waits until end of meal to bring it, then brings another glass afterwards with water too. A lot of these issues seem to be training and management of the restaurant. I have been to other locations with better service. So, overall, food was good. I got the frittata and my daughter got the braised beef breakfast tacos. But, if there weren't so many silly issues, I think I could rate this location higher. 3 stars
