He told me that due to the climate and moisture it wouldn't be a perfect job and that makes sense as it was snowing with cold temps. He was very responsive via phone and on a Sunday helped to schedule me in and have it taken care of. I had most places that would push me out a couple of days and maybe have me get a new windshield. The crack was bullseye crack a little smaller than a dime and spread about 8 inches. The quoted price was very fair and much less than the big shops. I made sure to be home at the time being that I was coming from work and I sat in my car for 2 hours waiting for them and they never showed. 12:30 they still didn't come they are calling me trying to confirm my address when that information was communicated the day prior. After so much delay making me late to other obligations I asked them to cancel as they had no regards to my time and no accountability. Things happen, delays happen but you have to communicate. They offered me a $25 discount which I thought was a slap in the face. I was about to spend $600. I told them to forget it, I was going to do business with them because I was referred to them but the experience was so bitter that I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. A lady calls me back asking me if I'm sure I want to cancel I said yes because they don't respect me nor my time. I informed her I will fix my window elsewhere. We had the most random incident with one of the windows in our car, where it literally shattered…read morespontaneously one afternoon. (I think a stone must have randomly ricocheted.) It was almost 6pm, and I was panicking about how to get this window fixed as fast as possible. However, most local spots were closing soon or had already closed. With Yelp at the helm and our car insurance on the line, we came across New and Used. Admittedly, this spot looks a bit... shaddy. Frankly, if I hadn't been so desperate, I might not have taken the plunge. But they were open and ready to talk directly with our insurance (three-way call FTW) and pretty clear about what to expect the next day. It seems one way they keep prices down is not to have all the glass on site, but they told us they would call us the next morning after getting the appropriate piece of glass for our relatively common car. They did call within that expected time frame, and they completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. The waiting area wasn't so great, but there are places within walking distance around you can wait or grab some food. I'm very thankful for this spot and being able to accommodate us. They really reduced the stress of a stressful situation.
