I never go to places that have less than an A rating from the health inspection on their window. NYG had a B, but I decided to try it anyway. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and my partner ordered the NYG burger. He loved his burger and stated that it was better than the burgers he ordered at two other diners in the area (ridgewood eats and tastys). Plus it was cheaper too! My eggplant parmesan tasted really great as well, however I discovered a large piece of veal in it! As a vegetarian, it was very unappealing and it's no wonder they got a B if they have veal in with the eggplant slices. However, when I told the waitress, she remedied the situation right away. The food is good and cheap and if you're easy going like me (notice the 5 stars even with the veal discovery) you should definitely try this place! read more

Solid local Diner in Glendale. I've been eating here on and off for 4 years but have never written a review because I always thought the food was "good because its next door" but in the last year or so the food has gotten noticeably better. Love coming here for breakfast and brunch! The service is always great and the food is always spot on! Only downfall is that it is a bit small of a location and on weekends everyone is down for a bite from here, so there is always a wait. There is parking on the streets if you feed the meters but it is always a hassle to get a spot! Of course, that is not the restaurants fault! If you could walk there, I'd suggest giving breakfast a try as it is the most important meal of the day! read more

Nice family run diner with really good breakfast. The coffee is really good as well with service being perfect as well. Always there to refill your coffee during your breakfast. Prices are really inexpensive for what your getting as well. There are about a dozen tables for patrons which seem to be pretty full at times and very clean. This seems to be the diner of choice from now on since its very close to me, breakfast food is great, they have a wide variety, prices are good, and its just a very comfortable place to eat and start your day. Came here on 11/13/25. Ordered mozzarella sticks and a turkey burger deluxe. The mozzarella sticks was good. When my burger came, I looked at it and asked of it was a turkey burger. The waitress said, I thought you ordered a cheeseburger. No, I said turkey burger, I replied. She took it away, and eventually came back with another burger. It was the sorriest turkey burger Ive ever seen. It looked undercooked and unappetizing. To top it off, the bun had cheese on it, and I wondered if they reuse the bun from the other burger. This place is pretty divey. The menus look beyond worn out. On the plus side the prices are really cheap here. Food is ok nothing special but decent for the price. For breakfast this place is solid. It has very good diner stuff. Eggs over easy are fried so that the edges are crispy but the yolks are still liquid--just the way I like them. All the fried meats are done just right. Bacon? Just the right amount of crispy/chewy. Sausage is just fine. I had the salami as a side and it was crisp around the edges. Perfect. Home fries were crispy on the sides and soft and potatoey in the middle. They really get this right. I've had the french toast and their pancakes and they're both above average. But, I'd stick with the eggs and such. That's where this place shines. Service is quick and genuinely friendly. They have mostly booths, which I like. The decor is nice--much better than the average dinery type place around these parts. Haven't been here for lunch or dinner yet. I plan to check it out soon. read more

Where do I start, so I was at my church and I wanted something to eat before I go to services. One of the member told me to try this place. So I go online on seamless and look at the menu to see what they had and if I should eat in or have it delivery. So I went in so I can eat and I already had in mind what I wanted online it was 16.95, so I waitress comes and I tell her my order and then I seen that price was different then online when I ask why she said "I don't know and then when I showed it to her via my phone she then answer "we change the prices". So I'm like ok let me have it any ways. I ask for my streak to be medium rare. After waiting 25 mintues my food shows up and I'm having a hard time cutting the streak now anyone who knows streak n orders medium rare it's suppose to be not only pink but soft. So not only was it not medium rare it was in parts fully cook and the medium well. Smh the first n last time I eat here. read more
