We order takeaway fairly often from NY Gyro when we are in the mood for some Pakistani/Middle Eastern food. They have some American food too if you're not to adventurous. I can only speak for the Pakistani/Middle Eastern food since that is what we always get. What we always order: the Combo Platters which consists of seasoned chicken and lamb gyro on yellow rice with a side salad. It comes with a white sauce and hot sauce if you chose. We get the spicy kuftas - fairly large in size. The student fries which has a delicious sauce and cheese on them. Lastly and what is our favorite is the Nahari - a spicy beef stew served with optional garnish of chopped ginger/lemon/cilantro/green chilies and served with naan. Everything is always tasty especially the Nahari. My only complaint is you only get one naan for all the Nahari you get which feeds 2-3 people. The place is usually busy whenever we head in but food is usually ready fairly quickly. The staff is very nice and efficient. There are tables to sit and eat if you choose which I haven't done. It's not noticeable dirty in the restaurant but not necessarily super clean either. They have a a great menu with lots of authentic Pakistani/Indian dishes, and have others like the gyro and fries with American twist. The food was ready 20 mins earlier than the website estimate, and the workers are very friendly. Garlic naan was very good (may be too much garlic for some), fries were shockingly good, lamb gyro was quite good. I enjoyed that they let you customize the gyro with all sorts of non traditional gyro toppings. Tsazitki sauce was full of flavor with runny consistency. Ordered 2 lamb gyros. They were tasty but greasy. I would not listen to what a lot of the other reviews stated re: size. The sandwhich is a pita folded in half and it's not the large pita either. The lamb consists of small, chopped chunks rather than the normal strips, BUT it was tender and more manageable than the strips. I ordered 2 gyros and could have still eaten a third- they were just not big gyros. The meat was also greasy and the grease was soaked into the pita. I gave this establishment 4 stars because my choice to support them came from other Yelp reviews and not from information the restaurant provided. I ordered the lamb and chicken rice (combo rice dish for $7.99, after taxes it was little over $8.) Added lettuce, bell peppers, onions, tomato, jalapeños, banana pepper and pickles. I asked them to put the hot sauce and the white sauce on it. Unfortunately as you can see from the pictures, there was too much white sauce! Made it a bit hard to enjoy the food. However, this dish reminds me of late nights up in St. Cloud! I'm glad there's one near by me, and I don't have to drive so far whenever I want to eat it.
