DISGUSTING & BURNT FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE, LONG WAIT, LOW QUANTITY!!!! We ordered a chicken burger, fish burger, fries. The meat itself tasted and looks like it was fried in old oil, the lettuce, onions, and tomatoes used were going bad, and barely any fries given, and bun and meat obviously burnt. Took a chance and wanted to try a new place as I been tryna find good NYC pizza in Chicago and I dont think this is it chile. The pizza itself was okay but as I ate towards the crust the pizza had a very weird perfumey/cologney type taste to it??? It was very confusing and offputting. Note to self; just don't bother. Based on reviews I take it ordering a full pie is the way to go. Going the route of a slice, the prep in that is passionless. If in need of something to stop hunger pains, I guess a slice could suffice since they are affordable at $2-$3 dollars ea. Slices were salty and of the thin & fold-able variety. It's a Halal pizza joint. It's safe to guess most toppings are made of beef, including the pepperoni. It is then over-salted to mimic pepperoni. So faux-pperoni? It befuddles me why they make a pepperoni-like topping at all. Why not just beef sausage and ground beef or chicken slices? Ps ground beef on a pizza can be a game-changer. Judging from the view-able environs, I doubt another go. I found this place by searching online and placing an order for pickup. A decent (& clean) carry-out shawarma shop inhabited this space years ago (Kabul House express), since that time, it looks as if recent & past owners have allowed cleanliness to leave & never expose itself again. As a halal foodie, this is my favorite pizza spot in Chicago. Be patient in knowing that this isn't Dominoes or that nasty Lou Malnatis or whatevah-- this locally-owned, halal, and has super fresh ingredients! I noticed people expressing their frustration with their order time - pro-tip: they open at 6pm but need at least an hour to make the pizza... because everything here is super fresh! The ingredients are amazing (and honestly exceeded my expectations!) The chicken nuggets are a must-try, some of the best I've ever had! Super crunchy and handmade-- even after arriving from Grubhub. Having limited options available for Zabiha Halal pizza, I am always on a look out for one. I ordered BBQ chicken pizza that took an hour to get delivered. I can happily say that it was one of the best pizzas that I had in Chicago. It had just the right amount of cheese and a good amount of meat on it. Just ordered carry out. My family ordered a pepperoni pie and a sausage/green pepper/mushroom pie. It was delicious! I placed an order over the phone. They called me to let me know it was ready. I went in the store and the gentleman said he needs one minute because they usually give customers a call as heads up. I told him I was parked illegally (sorry it's Devon 20-30 min before iftar!) so he told me to go wait in my car and brought the pizzas to me. Great service! What's the point having specials if you won't honor them? Advertising fail, went through the trouble of making an order just to be told they aren't doing specials anymore. Ok, then stop advertising them on your menu. Such a simple basic thing, the management should be disappointed in themselves. My order was scheduled for 7:20pm, showed up at 7pm. AWESOME! SIKE! Wrong order, plus the restaurant told the driver they just started my order. So around 8:35pm, the same driver shows up, nice dude, made sure he had my order. GRUBTIME! NOPE! Order of wings about the size of a thumb. Wife got a veggie sandwich, no cheese. As someone from NY, I'm constantly searching for ANYTHING in this barren wasteland of a pizza city that does even a reasonable approximation of New York style pizza. There are a couple of places that are quite good. Jimmy's Pizza Cafe and Dimos Pizza come to mind. Not one of those places delivers to me in rogers park, though. So I was stuck. Stranded. Forced to eat those brittle crackers with sauce and cheese that you people call thin crust pizza or force down your heathonistic tomato sauce and cheese casseroles whenever I ordered pizza. I tried this place several months ago, as I try all pizza places that sound like they have promise. (this one even had New York in the name!) and it was terrible. Tasted more like High School cafeteria style than real new york pizza. (though, to be fair, high school cafeteria pizza in NY is better than the nonsense they serve in Chicago). But I must have just caught them on a bad night. Tonight, I gave them another shot and let me tell you, Chicago, it's everything I ever hoped for. The cheese was gooey and greasy, the crust was equal parts crisp and floppy, folding in half perfectly and still releasing that heavenly crunch on the outside with a doughy chewy center. Is it the solution to all of Chicago's pizza problems? No. But it was pretty damn close to the real thing and they delivered it to me in 30 minutes. Great late night snack option, Fresh tasting ingredients with amazing thin crust to match

I decided to try the place out because there are only a few places that offer Zabiha/Halal Gyros Pizza. I ordered a Medium using Slice.com to order online. The parking situation is horrible on Devon, everyone knows that. I think this is something people should know though if they haven't been to that area. You will have a hard time finding parking, unless you are very lucky, or come on certain days and times. The pizza was average at best. It was just pizza, nothing more. There was nothing special about the pizza. I felt like I was eating a frozen pizza that was warmed up for me. As someone that enjoys pizza, and is willing to pay for quality pizza, I was pretty disappointed with it. It did not leave me feeling satisfied at all. I will probably not order from here again. I feel like I would've had a better pizza experience if I just ordered a cheese pizza from Domino's, and spent the money I saved on Gyros slices I could have just put on the pizza myself. Everything here has been delicious! We have had the pepperoni, gyros and sausage pizzas and they were all excellent. Big floppy NY style slices and open mage, cant go wrong with that.
