Thursday Deal - 50 cent wings (must buy at least 10)
    Vanity H.

Came here with my boyfriend per his recommendation. He did say it was much better his first time which was a couple years ago. He went in as I waited outside with our dog and chose the type of pizza. I went in after to see and they do have different options for slices and I appreciate that. I'll start by saying that their wings are really good and we went on a Thursday where the deal was 50 cent wings (must buy a minimum of 10). Such a great deal on some yummy wings and they have different flavor options but we chose buffalo. The pizza failed us - specifically the deep dish. The pepperoni one had chewy crust but I enjoyed the sauce and cheese. The deep dish was sausage and everything was fine until I saw the dough of the crust wasn't fully cooked. It tasted uncooked and doughy so I couldn't finish it. I recommend their wings for sure haha

1st time & the pizza was old but the portion was worth the price.. might I add the cashier was very rude initially they asked if I'd like my pizza in a box but then when I thought about it, I had a bag and I told them no can they just wrap it she got a attitude poor customer service I won't be back

    Pie cut

I don't usually do this but given the decline of this once pretty decent pizza place after its expansion and my need for a reminder to never buy their product again, I will let you in on my experience. I asked for pie cut, they sent bite size, it was over an hour before it got here. The pizza was so soggy the driver had to tell me to put my hand under it or the box would collapse. I ordered "The Works" pizza you could hardly taste the green peppers and it had a sour taste like someone sprayed lemon juice on it. Not the quality I expect for over 50 bucks. Since they opened the Granville "Bakehouse" the Western avenue location won't deliver to me after ordering from then since I was a teenager. Oh well there is always Golden Crust on Kedzie. So long Pete's.

I ordered the rib deal and they were the tiniest ribs I have ever seen in my life. They could not have been from a full grown animal. I have ordered this meal twice before and the ribs were great, the perfect size so I don't know what happened. I will not be getting it again knowing that it can be this inconsistent.

When you're looking for a late-night bite, Pete's fits the bill! Good-sized slices and all kinds of sides, whatever you might crave, including subs and desserts. The folks are friendly, there's always a gaggle of kids from the college up the street, and there's life in this corner joint. We got various slices of pizza (thin crust) and sides of fries and salads. And we sat and talked, then ate some more, then talked, then ate some more, next thing you know they're closing for the night. This is the place to hang out and get a good meal. If you're in the area, stop on by! Pete's is pretty good!

I got pepperoni pizza, sausage deep dish, and 10 hot wings and it was worth the train ride from the Southside. Friendly service (though I couldn't bring my dog in unless he was a service animal) and everything done in a timely fashion. Feels like a classic old school pizza joint where you can sit down with family and friends, enjoy the ambiance and the slices!

    Detroit style pepperoni pizza

My bf and I loveeee Pete's, we love to go on Tuesdays for the bogo slices, the slices are actually huge for the price as well as the salads!!

Good thin crust pizza--not soggy. And they have a 2-for-1 special on Tuesdays. Definitely better than Jet's or Topper's!

The restaurant is not busy at all. We were seated right away. Our server was nice and attentive. We ordered pizza and pasta. Pepperoni and Whipped Ricotta Pizza - cooked perfectly, fresh ingredients and delicious! Served hot! Short Rib Pappardelle - to die for! This is very tasty, the pasta is cooked al dente. The short rib sauce is ssosooo delicious! We sat by the bar overlooking the open kitchen. It was nice to see the chef make the pizza and make the pasta. Further area is more fine dining with wall of wine. Very classy! Street parking only. So plan ahead.

Normally I hate those kinds of large group dinners, but this was the perfect spot for it. The service was absolutely wonderful. I don't know how our server stayed so cool and calm with a group that size. We got a variety of things. EVERYTHING was amazing. If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. With fabulous house made red sauce that wasn't too thick and overwhelming. The flavor was A+ The cocktails were so good! All made from scratch with love. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a group or a date. They have a full bar, and also great seating with perfect lighting. This is a new favorite for me in the city.

Boneless Chicken Vesavio, 4/5: My only complaint it the butt ends of the chicken was dry and tough. Otherwise, the sauce is very good, it's savory almost like porridge. The peas surprisingly added nice flavor to it. Wish all the potatoes were crispy tho! Burrata Lasagna, 3.9/5: Good but wouldn't get it again. TBD tastes similar to frozen lasagna. The sauce was nice thick and it had structural integrity to it. Birthday Gelato, 10/10 : Genuinely one of the best things I ate in Chicago. I wish I knew what flavors we got, it was 3 diff kinda. I'm pretty sure it was cherry chocolate for one, and the chocolate pieces were so perfect. We don't even like cherry and my sister doesn't even like chocolate but it ate it clean. Service is amazing and the ambience is really nice. It's very busy in there but the tables are far apart enough to have intimate convo. It is somewhat loud tho.

Every shared food item we purchased from the happy hour menu was savory and memorable. We had the mushroom arancini, rib sliders, prime beef meatballs and whipped ricotta. The happy hour pricing is attractive. Service was top-tier, and the inside is quite inviting. Everyone seemed happy to be there and took care with every step of the ordering and serving process. The bar was full when we arrived, but the host told us that spots at the bar open up rather quickly. This proved to be true, so I am so glad we waited for a few minutes. However, I wouldn't recommend this happy hour for a group of more than 2 because offerings are available at the bar only, and I suspect it would be hard to get four seats together.
