They were thorough and gentle; I have super sensitive skin and nails, I also have psoriatic nail changes on my toenails which is sometimes painful during a pedicure, but I had no trouble here. Will not be coming back. Went to get my first dazzle dry experience and was very excited as I live down the street and was looking for a good nail spa. I did the 69 dollar pedicure with an extra $10 for dazzle dry. Their water heater was not working so I spoke up that I would like to rerun the water if possible as mine was near ice cold. They moved me to a new chair where they filled it to right under my ankles with warm water but that was all they could get. The woman used some warm water from a coffee pot they brewed, which I appreciated, although this was NOT the experience of a 80 dollar regular (but fast drying) polish pedicure. When I went to pay they asked if I wanted to include tip and I politely declined to which then I was questioned as to why I wouldn't give tip? It was so appalling that I was questioned and even had to explain and pay full price for a pedicure that was no where near an experience anyone should charge $80 for. They ended up giving me a Basic pedicure certificate (valued at half the price $39 dollars to the actual pedicure I paid for) to help just so I would tip. By the end of the experience I look down to my manicure and was not happy as you can see I have bubbles dried on my nails but at that point had spent 2 hours there and just wanted to leave because you could tell she was speaking about it to her colleagues. Awful experience and if i didn't have to go back to use my rightfully given certificate I would never go back. The practice of reading the room and customer service skills needs to be polished up here, the superiority complex of requiring and questioning why someone wouldn't give a tip when it was blatantly obvious is NOT OK. Showed them a couple simple designs and for each one she said it was too complicated and would take too much time. Quality of basic gel nails I did was not that good. I saw this place and it's really nice inside (don't get me wrong), I like the ambiance. The two stars is really for the ambiance & that they were able to squeeze me an appointment in a short notice. BUT THE REST OF THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. First, I felt really rush. The lady kept calling me in the back. I told her that I haven't pick a nail color for my pedi. She told me to hurry and head in the back. Second, she said the brand of the nail polish I got was extra charge. I get the same brand at my nail salon back home and no extra. They don't tell you these extras in advance. So, beware. Third, she said my gel nails is hard to remove so she said she will charge me EXTRA. I'm already starting to get really pissed. Fourth, she made my ring finger bleed and she made my fingers really dry because she made me soak my nails in this really strong acetone for like half an hour! Fifth, she rushed my pedi and my gel mani. She didn't cleaned my nails thoroughly! FINALLY, I'm a very generous person and despite the horrible horrible service I still gave her 15% tip. BUT she whispered to me and she said they really only accept 20% tip!!! I SERIOUSLY COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Please stay away from this place. These people are unbelievable. I'm so glad I don't live here and I never have to come back at this place! UGH. I wasted $120 here!!!!!!!!!!! Look at what i asked for versus what i got. we had to change the design mid way because it looked terrible. Not to mention that this manicure was $70, and when i tipped in cash the lady that did my nails threw it on the receptionist desk as i was paying and the receptionist then scolds me for not tipping more. The only reason Im giving this place a 1 star is because the price is outrageous i had a gel manicure and a regular pedi with callous remover and my total without tip (approx $5 tax included) was $112 (then i tipped 20%) you would think that the nail polish was made of gold. Other than that Lori did my pedi and she did great and Judy did my nails and also did a great job! But it was NOT worth the price. So upon leaving the salon i noticed the price menu and the venue charged me double the posted price for a gel manicure! read more

When you stay at the Wellington hotel you get a free mani voucher. Awesome. Ironically I've been all over NYC and always had terrible manis. I have been to this salon multiple times and, mostly, had positive experiences. That is until my most recent visit. Rather than a $19 manicure, I agreed to use a long lasting, extra shiny LONDONTOWN polish for $25 --- that is a cost of 32% more. Less than a week later, the extra durable polish was chipped on at least 4 nails. The owner of the shop said extra long wearing means 1 week because regular polish lasts only a few days. That surprised me -- a $19 manicure for only a few days of polish --- who knew.All I wanted was for the chipped nails to be painted over, she refused. I'm not saying don't patronize this place but don't spend any extra money. 1 star read more

This is not your place if you want them to spend a long time on you for a very detailed mani/pedi. This IS your place if you are conscious of time, need to be in and out, and if you just want a regular mani/pedi with a solid color. They have a good selection of colors, I always go for the Essie gel couture collection. Sometimes when they are backed up, they have someone do your pedi while another person does your mani at the same time so you're out in 20mins. The highlight of this place is the chair massages. I usually tackle on 10mins massage to my mani and just melt in the chair. Definitely try it out for 10mins if you're having one of those days. read more

My daughter and I went for nail services. 1 fill ( just a French tip) and 1 set with black polish. Cost over $260, did not prep nail bed, or use sanitary products. They did a powder dip and used the original Container to dip my finger in. I was lucky not to get a fungus. My daughter, not so much. She had a fungus on her nail 2 days later when one nail popped off ( which we mentioned looked to be lifting before we even left) . I removed all of her nails and mine ( which were already falling off by day 2 anyways). The ladies were nice, but the service received is awful and the lady running the front hovered and saw the work and still proceeded to ask me to pay more tip. The audacity. I asked what the services prices were because that was the most expensive fill and set I've ever seen...and suddenly they didn't understand me. I had to find a salon near a clients office to take her to (or I would have gone to my regular place, Golden Glow Spa (highly recommended!). I asked if they did SNS Powder and they said Yes. My technician did NOT know what she was doing. It looked semi-OK, but my nails HURT afterwards and the powder peeled off after less than 1.5 weeks. It lasts almost a month at my regular salon.
