Terrible! Do not come here unless you want your nails to peel the next day. This has happened to me every single time I've gone. With Gel and normal polish. It chips, or just fully flakes off without me doing anything a day after I get them. I thought it was my own nails and I still went back. Nope! Every single time the nail polish flakes off or peels off. I got my nails done two days ago here and they're all completely chipped, flaked off just by putting my coat on! Do not waste your time here find another spot unless you want to pay for nails that last you a day. I don't go to nail salon often because I rarely receive a good result. While waiting for my friend for dinner, I spotted this nail studio, so I went inside without much expectations. The place was very clean, tidy and everyone including the owner were very friendly. I just chose the standard manicure ($17) and I was surprised with the result. My apology that I didn't not know the person who did my nails but she took her job seriously, clearly she cared so much and made sure that the result was good. I just received an excellent manicure from here! The team is so warm and kind. They were empty, so the front desk (owner?) gave me a complimentary massage while I got an excellent gel manicure done. I upgraded to the spa pedicure and was extremely impressed. The nail salon really scrubbed my feet (I mean got on the floor for better positioning kind of scrubbed). NEVER AGAIN!!! I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I felt maybe I'll treat myself. I went to get a pedicure in between shows this past Saturday. I didn't see any prices on the wall, but I figured it couldn't be more than $30? The woman that took me for the pedicure didn't even turn the massager on for my back. While she started on the pedicure she asked if I wanted an extra 10 minutes massage on my feet or a spa pedicure. The "spa" was just her squeezing out lavender soap and lotion on my feet. I honestly don't think I even got 10 minutes massage. I would've thought extra meant, 10 MORE minutes on top of a regular foot massage. It felt like maybe 5 minutes and it was just OK. When she finished and I went to get the nails dry that was the end of it. She just left me there. Also, the dryer was awful! I felt nothing coming out of it. I waited almost 30 minutes for them to dry! I put my shoes on by myself (which is hard to do at 34 weeks). When I took my shoes off later, two of my toes were not dried completely and got messed up!! When I was ready to leave...the woman in the front said it was $63!!!!!!!!!!! I will never go here again for messed up nails! $63?!?! Get out of here. read more

I have been going here between shows for years. Now that my bf lives across the street I frequent the place. They do a standard pedicure. Solid. I think they REALLY shine with finger nails. I am a gel manicure or acrylic set kind of girl. The technicians take lots of pride in well done nails so I cannot complain. Every time I go, they do a wonderful job. *Last week I went to get my underarms waxed and it was much cheaper than my usual place and LESS painful due to a "sensitive skin" wax. That said, be ready to be upsold. They will offer you a SPA pedicure. They will offer you a topcoat for an extra $1. They will have an up-charge for the "sensitive skin" wax. It's standard. Bottom line, the ladies are very nice and a little bit sneaky, but I've come to expect that of most midtown nail salons. (I.e.,They will reject your AMEX and say it doesn't work, but if it's your only method of payment, they'll say it "sometimes doesn't work" which just means, they don't want to pay the fee for AMEX transactions...) It was definitely an interesting experience. The service was nice, and they were friendly, but there were some events that soured the experience. Firstly while looking at nail colors one of the technicians kept touching/petting my coat. It was a brown teddy coat that looked very nice but they didn't even ask before one of them just started touching, and she touched my backside nonetheless which was highly uncomfortable. My friend had lost her wallet the same evening and the nail salon store was the last place we saw it at. When I called to inquire about the wallet they were very quick to say no, and didn't even put me on hold or anything to attempt to bother checking. That was highly suspicious to me and now my friend's bank account has been drained of her money. Despite them scraping our skin with the nail file, taking forever(over 3 hours for mani/pedi with full staff and no clients until last 30 mins), reusing old files from previous customers. My friend asked for the same mid-short length nails as mine and got long, ugly ghetto looking nails. They messed up the paint on both of us. Then charged 90 for a fill and polish and 180 for pedicure/fullset. When we paid and tipped them 50 dollars all together on nails we were not satisfied with they yelled at us saying "oh that's it no no you tip more tip more." The lady goes by Sharon, was very impatient, seemed in a rush for some reason and complained about me being picky about the colors. I really want to love this place. Unfortunately I don't. I've been here 4 times now. All of them different services. They r good for normal mani pedi. If you want anything more complicated, forget it. I walked in wanting sculpted gel nail extensions. I walked out with a hybrid of tips, super glue and gel overlay. The whole time they were trying to convince me to do a acrylic dip instead. I insisted on uv hard gel and they finally caved. $91 later they came out decent but not what I wanted. First time I got a spa pedicure. For about $50, the spa pedicure was pretty awesome. They sold me my feet were soft and the pedicure was average at best but the massage and the comfortable chair was the upside. Second time I came for a gel mani and regular pedi. The color selection is good but not great. Good luck trying to find a matching color for your toes. 3rd time was normal mani pedi. Didn't rush me took their time but nothing amazing. 4th time I wanted uv hard gel sculpted extensions. They had no idea what I was talking about. Told me they don't sculpt and gave me the option of silk wraps or tips. I opted for tips. Then they tried to convince me to do this dip process of glue and powder. I told them I don't like acrylic. They said it's not acrylic but rather a gel dipping powder. Which I still insisted on doing uv gel. They caved and used the ibd sculpting gel. Sunny was super frustrated. Worked up a sweat. Took almost 2 hours. It came out initially super super sloppy. But with so much filing. They eventually came out even and nice. She did so much filing that she filed my cuticles raw so that it hurt when she wiped it down with acetone and alcohol. End result, I can see a halfway line where she glued the tip under the gel. Pros: Ladies are really nice. The place is clean. Prices aren't too terrible but pretty typical for Manhattan. Cons: They really nickel and dime you. If they tell u $23 for mani pedi really means $28. Prices are made up. They don't have much skill other than standard nail painting. I don't think I will be coming back unless I want a quick paint job. read more
