I absolutely love the pizza. It's a nice crunch and perfect texture. It has the brick oven taste and feel to it. The sodas are really good too. I love the pineapple cream soda, it tastes like a snow cone soda. When I dine in there is never anyone there, I would love to see more people inside. Great spot! Prices are super reasonable, and they offer both beer and wine (though it looked like the beer selection was mostly out, and one of the menus was down--probably the wine list--but honestly, no big deal). I got a side Caesar salad and their white pizza (no olives)--it was fire. The sauce was on point, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. I'm pretty sure it had mushrooms too, which made it my favorite combo. Jason got a single slice of pepperoni, and it was massive. There was just one guy running the whole shop--taking orders, cooking, everything--and he was incredibly kind and patient. Huge shoutout to him for holding it down so well! We came in during the last hour before closing (not something I usually recommend as someone who's worked in food service), but even then, the vibe was great. First the good, pizza is actually pretty good! However the service and cleanliness is questionable. There were only 6 people in total in the restaurant at the time we were ordering. We waited 10-25 minutes just to place an order at the counter. My guess is understaffing? Secondly, I had to bus the table so we could sit and eat. My search for a good NY style slice brought me here and result was 2 sad slices and heartburn. Loved the options and the BYO slice option but my common sense should have kicked in. The pepperoni was serviceable but the mushrooms and red bell pepper were almost raw. Cheese was barely melted and sauce was faint and almost nonexistent. What a treat to find this little gem today! Loved that they had the lunch chef special by the slice WITH great sized salad, soda and pickle! Pizza was YUM. HUGE slice...really enough for two adults! Hot and fresh and thin crust! Salad was fresh too, with cucumbers, tomato, red onion, croutons and parmesan. Blue cheese dressing was decent too! Soda fountain had quite a few flavors out of order, but a handful working too. Cashier was friendly and personable. WiFi quick and easy to connect to. Ambiance was great and plenty of seating. My only recommendation to REALLY get this place on par for long term success is ongoing bussing and cleaning of the dining room. Could not find a clean table/chair and spills on the floor left were left unattended. I will be back and hope to see dining room sparkling next time I'm in. :) read more

Final time to get pizza from here before we move. Looked like they didn't offer delivery anymore, so I opted for pickup. Pizza was ready when I got there but had to be reheated when I got home. The 24" pizza is still massive. We also got a 14", so we'd have some leftovers. The side-by-side is kind of funny. We took a chance on a place we have never tired before. All went well and in about 45 minutes we had two 14 inch pizzas. Yes we are from the NY area but have lived here a long time. The pizzas are quite good but not a lot better than the best in Frisco. Are they real NY Pizzas?.. well pretty close. They are definitely competitive. They were surely good enough to order from NY Pizza and Pints again. Lots of other reviews have concerns about the service. As someone who has loved this place for awhile it has become unbearably unprofessional, very very disappointed... over Father's Day my family had ordered food online for our event and when we went to go pick up all the way from Celina they were locked, lights off and no one there; even though they were supposed to be open. Finally got ahold of someone after HOURS of trying to resolve this issue and she had apologized and given us the offer of a free pizza to accommodate the time and issue. However, today we went to order over the phone to order a large pizza and also our free comped pizza and when we called they said "English not good" and hung up on us 3 different times. The gentlemen working the register had the personality of a lifeless tree. He's there, but probably time to cut it out. He seemed extremely bothered to have to stand there and take out order. Just seemed mad we even walked in. You can tell the lack of care employees and or ownership have for this location. The back hallway walking back to the restroom has junk just piled everywhere. The men's restroom's sink is barely hanging on the wall. Beer was flat (all three kinds our party hard). Wine glass had hard water stains all over it. We just went back again and it will be the last time. We order two slices. SLICES. Not a meal. Not a pie. Two slices. It took 50 minutes. I'm from Jersey, where you can go into any pizza joint and get a slice in 2 minutes. It's a little absurd to wait that long. The other half of their name is "pints". When we tried to order a couple beers to make the wait a little more tolerable, the woman told us "all the beer is pretty flat. I wouldn't recommend it." Not exactly a confidence builder. I've been to this pizza shop 3 times. The first time was an unexpected surprise. It advertises New York style pizza and being a displaced New Yorker, I wanted to give it a try. The first time blew me away. The moment you walk in you are hit with the aroma of an NY Mom & Pop pizza joint. And the pizza is pretty darn close to that in Manhattan. The second time was underwhelming with a lot of disorganization among the staff, and the food was subpar. The lack organization and poor customer service increased 10 fold when I was there last Friday. I ordered through the restaurant's website which defaults to Chow Now. I placed an order for a few slices at about 5:40 pm. I received an email saying it would be ready at 6:05 pm. I got there at about 6:20 pm, and then the fun began. The lady at the register wouldn't even look me in the eye. There's another restaurant worker - young kid - who I suppose is navigating to go orders, but he can't find my order even after showing the email. I plead for an order status at 6:30 pm, but it's clear I'm not alone. Looking behind me in the pick up line, multiple other people are equally bewildered. The person acting as manager comes from the kitchen area at 6:43 pm. She just states that she found my order, but there's currently an hour wait time for new orders. I point out to her that this order isn't new and in fact it *was* placed an hour ago. She then just shrugs her shoulders and says all the other people waiting are in the same situation. No apology. Just an obnoxious take it or leave it attitude. I left it. Cancelled the order and wasted over an hour. Doesn't make any sense. Pizza really isn't that complicated to make, whether it be whole pies or slices. The whole point of online ordering is to make the process smoother. I could walk through Time Square tomorrow crowded as heck, venture into a store and walk out with slices or even a whole pie in less then 15 minute. I've gotten better service at Sbarros, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc. I know there's more than one of these chains in Collin County. I hope the others are better, because the store on Preston in Frisco is amateurish and horribly trained. read more

Tried to go to NY Pizza and Pints on Preston in Frisco and had a REALLY odd experience. There were 5 people eating, apparently all employees. No customers. Two cooks behind the counter in the kitchen We walked in, stood there about a minute - got zero greeting and I asked "are you guys open?" To which one of the employees said "yes, we're open" We stood awkwardly at the counter for 5 min and NO ONE addressed us. Not a "hello" and certainly not a "can I help you" Finally a cook came out, smiled at us and looked at the group eating as if to convey "we have customers" and still no one addressed us at all. We waited another min then walked out and not one person there offered to stop or help us. Idk what happening there but I'm a NY Italian and that place is NOT NY Italian food anyway They use lamb meat. Great pizza. Pizza was way bigger than what I was thinking. I have two teen boys and we still had a lot left for the 4 of us. The dough was perfect, not too thick or thin. Pepperoni was thick. The pizza is really good BUT the service is a hot mess. I was in about 4-6 weeks ago and the beer lines had just been "hooked up" or installed that day so it wasn't available. This was several months after they had been open. We ordered a pizza anyways and was quoted 25 minutes. We live really close by so we left and went back 30 minutes later and our order was not ready. It took an additional 15 minutes. 2nd occasion- put in an order online for two pizzas for pickup. Called about 30 minutes after inputting the order because it was still showing pending online and was told they were having issues accessing that system. They asked what we ordered and told us it would be ready in about 20 minutes. Fair enough. Upon arrival, my fiancé gave her last name for pickup and was told they don't have anything. To be sure, she asked again with her full name and the clerk was rude stating, "oh, we don't use last names". Our two pizzas were ready as promised and delicious.. if they could work out the customer service and workflow issues this place would be thriving..
