Would I order a $13 Caesar salad of romaine, croutons and Parmesan? No. But go in knowing what you're going to a $7.25/slice joint and you're fine. Four stars. read more

Food that'll make you sick. For $7 a slice, the basically reheat old pizza slices and give it to you in a box. Even their garlic bread came out of a plastic bag and went for a quick reheat in the oven with cheese on top. For $25 we got 2 slices of bad tasting pizza and a store garlic bread. Only thing "New York" about this place is the thinness crust and the price of the slice. Would've been fine if the pizzas had any taste to it. Super disappointed as this was supposed to be our quick mid-day meal on an otherwise long drive from Denver Skip and go to a real restaurant in Aspen even if it seem expensive. read more

The staff were so welcoming and so so so nice! The did so good with the kids! Today, we brought the rest of our work crew that travelled with us to this place! They loved the pizza as much as I did! Solid. I was in town for a couple days for work. We got two pizzas. One cheese and one pepperoni. The cheese pizza was thin and nicely cooked & the sauce had a good taste. Not at all greasy either. Nice. The pepperoni pizza was just a bit thicker and pretty good. I think I preferred the cheese. If you're in Aspen and craving pizza I'd say give it shot. 7/10 read more

I would like to present an unfounded conspiracy theory: There are no affordable late-night food places in Aspen because New York Pizza threatens them all. This place has a total monopoly on cheap, drunk late-night food in town. There is literally nowhere else to go after 9 o'clock. This place has the worst customer service. The woman at the register was extremely rude, unorganized, and had a horrible, disgusting attitude. We accidentally took the wrong pizza slices, and instead of calmly fixing the mistake, she immediately yelled at us and accused us of taking food. I told her to simply charge us for the slices or remove them from our order -- a very simple solution. Instead, she continued yelling, called me "soft," and said she would refund my food so I could leave. This was completely unnecessary and disrespectful. For a town like Aspen, especially in what's considered a higher-end area, this behavior is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but the way this situation was handled was embarrassing and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place based on customer service alone. The food is also not as good as people claim it is. read more

I of course was craving some late night food after a fabulous show at Belly Up. There's not much you can find in Aspen open late, especially on a weekday. Seeing New York Pizza's lights on as I'm 5 whiskey sodas deep, she looked like a shining beacon of hope and carbs It DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Hear me out, I'm a huge pizza fan. My husband makes me watch (and try) Dave Portnoy's pizza reviews as if my life depends on it -- so I believe I can spot (and taste) some great pizza by this point in my life. Again, who knows if the pizza was 5 stars or if I was just drunk enough that any combination of bread, cheese & meat would've done the trick. Grabbed a slice of pepperoni and margarita. The slices are HUGE! That still didn't stop me from almost finishing both slices Brownie points for having ranch in to-go pouches vs little cups with lids. Perfect for transporting to the hotel. Had a very long travel day and didn't make it to Aspen until 10:30 and New York Pizza was one of the few places thankfully still open so we ran in. They were only serving pizza because of the time and had a few options so we didn't get to special order anything. This was fine because we were just so hungry and not picky at all, we just wanted the pizza to be good! We opted for a pepperoni, mushroom and a tomato something slice can't remember. They were all so tasty and as a New Yorker myself I was not disappointed at all. Nice slice with the perfect crunch and sauce. The shop was decor was cool as well it reminded me of a NY pizza place with pictures hung all over except these were all ski and snow related. Super cool Authentic vibes. We asked the staff member how much a slice of pizza cost, and his response was, "Look at the menu on the board, it will tell you better than I can." That kind of attitude is extremely disappointing. As customers, we were simply trying to clarify pricing (especially for single toppings), and instead we were met with rudeness. If the staff member was having a bad day, it should not be taken out on diners. Professionalism and courtesy go a long way in customer service--something this place should definitely work on. This is probably one of the most affordable restaurants in Aspen. Service is a bit slow and seating area is not large. I wouldn't say this is the best NY pizza I've had but its decent enough for the price. Each slice is generous in size. I would definitely visit again if want cheap eats. read more
