The best value for the money so far in Aspen. The restaurant is nice, kind of mid-scale with good waiters and good food. The seafood risotto was excellent and had a subtle smoky taste and lots of mussels, calamari and shrimp. The lasagna was very tasty and just the right serving size (and we still took some In a to go box). The margaritas were delicious and we watched the NCAA M tournament while we dined. This place may be closed?? I feel awkward giving "stars" as I have no particular complaint with the food or location...We are visiting Aspen and were looking for dinner to eat in. We ordered food to go from the Brunelleschi's website, order was accepted, and payment shows as 'pending' through our credit card company (including tip). But, when we showed up 20 mins later to pick up the food, the doors were locked, lights out, furniture stacked on tables, and nobody there. Other customers showed up also looking to get in. The hours on their website showed they should be open. We called multiple times but it only went to voicemail. We are hoping the place is still open --- but it wasn't open tonight and we are definitely hoping that our payment is not processed as we never got any dinner. Sending good thoughts to Brunelleschi's that tonight was just a blip. read more

We originally went to this restaurant thinking it was a place we had tried before, but quickly realized it wasn't. That said, we were pleasantly surprised--truly one of the best dining experiences we've had in Aspen. The staff was by far the friendliest and most attentive we've encountered during our trip. Everyone genuinely seemed to enjoy their job, and that positive energy made a huge difference. Our two servers--one waiter and one waitress--were both phenomenal. They were incredibly sociable and really made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. The food? Absolutely amazing. The Alfredo was rich and flavorful, and the thin-crust pizza was cooked perfectly--crispy, light, and exactly what you'd hope for in a great thin-crust pie. We left feeling so happy and satisfied. Honestly, the quality of food and service here feels like it should cost much more than it does. We've spent a lot more at other places on this trip for meals that didn't even come close to this experience. My daughter, son and I went there last night for dinner. I ordered an eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was warm on top and completely cold on the bottom. Told our server and he took that back and brought another one after 15 minutes. Not only the eggplant was cold, the pasta was half cold and all stuck together. Make the matters worse, the eggplant was so chewy that I couldn't even finish the first bite. I pretty much left my food untouched. Another server came by and asked if I could box it, I said no thanks it was really bad. My son got a shrimp linguini and it was very bland. My daughter got a caprice panini and it was ok. Our server said that there was another complaint about the eggplant Parmesan a few days ago, too! I'm surprised that our server didn't n let the manager know right there and then. We were all done and didn't want to wait there anymore, so I paid the bill and left. read more

Gluten free pasta was mushy and so overcooked and came out within 2 minutes of ordering so it was clear it had been pre-made and sitting there disintegrating... Marinara sauce was full of sugar and I would hardly call anything here "Italian." read more

I didn't love the food personally, especially for the prices. I got the killer carbonara, which tasted more like Alfredo with hard pieces of pork/bacon and was recommended by the server. The server was very kind and the kids build your own pizza experience is super cool and includes these sick chef hats. Aspen is very hip and happening all year round. The summer months are gorgeous so this restaurant is very busy if you are looking to sit at the outside tables. We didn't have a reservation so we. sat inside. The ambience inside doesn't exist unfortunately. It's old and outdated. The service was good. The pizza is paper thin and lacks a crust. For thin pizza lovers this pie is for you! The burnt cheese is the "crust". Pasta was good and authentic. Salad was really good too. read more

Nice enough folks running the place and was easy to get a table on a Saturday evening near the holidays. The food was pretty substandard, however. I understand it's one of the only relatively inexpensive full service restaurants in town, but the pizza was pretty awful (think frozen thin crust) and the pasta was mediocre at best. If you're going to have an old fashioned on the menu, maybe someone there could also learn how to make one...just a suggestion. All in all, for a family of 4 to eat for less than $150 in Aspen is a miracle so can't truly complain (and we were hungry after a full day on the slopes), but just know what you're getting ahead of time! read more

We were in a bit of a frenzy since dinner reservations were cancelled due to the virus, so I stupidly let my friend pick the place. Brunelleschi's is easily--easily--the most overpriced ski resort pizza I have ever encountered. For $21 you get a 10" pizza with paper thin crust and topping quality in line with Dominos. To feed three hungry people, you need roughly four pizzas. With tax and other fees the cost was roughly $87. From the cheese, to the sauce, to the dough, to the aforementioned toppings, it was really mediocre. Order a lot of beer so you can dull the emotions that accompany getting ripped off. read more
