Text to my GF after visiting this place for the 200th time: You know, I keep saying this, but we really have to stop going to NYPC... and it's not the service, it's not the food... it's the people. The older, to much older closed minded group of regular patrons and staff with the "in front of you" racism and, not surprisingly, sexism. And the craziest part? Women go along with it... never seen a black person in here tho, so I won't even try to venture a guess on what their feelings on the matter might be, but positive seems definitively out of the question. We ordered from here tonight and it just might be the last time. We ordered 2 lg pizzas and a grinder. The pizzas were okay the cheese pizza we ordered was so thin and soggy did I mention it had almost no cheese on it. The Bronx bomber was decent. The grinder on the other hand was just awful! It was a chicken Caesar and I would be embarrassed if I owned this restaurant. First of all it was old lettuce some dressing a bit of shaved cheese and cut up fried fake chicken tenders with a price of $9.95 I do believe. It was all bread and the cheapest most disgusting chicken I've ever witnessed. Great food, loved the homemade fried mozzarella, chips and buffalo dip was amazing, and pizza was good. Can't wait to try the 1pound meatball appetizer. Service was good, great atmosphere, good variety of food and drink options. Will definitely be back! Update: went back months after my initial review for their eggplant parmigiana, best I ever had! I asked for it to be extra crispy, and they made it perfectly! Large portion, delicious sauce. I ordered at 525 they said 25 minutes so I came at 6 85$ dollars ok hubby bday whatever. Get home pizzas cold wings were ok but chicken tenders were dried up batter. Went in for the Back to School pizza truck and was not disappointed. We have gone to other places in the Killingly area that we love, but decided to try here for the event. We have only tried the pizzas, so I can only rate those, but both the kid's pizzas and the BBQ chicken pizza my husband and I had were delicious. Good flavors, cooked just right, and friendly service. They also have a nice outdoor seating area and patio. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu, of which there are many unique pizzas. read more

My husband and I visited on a Monday for lunch. We came for the No Kiss Tonight pizza which we have had many times. It is caramelized garlic, red onions and white onions. They are all brown and sweet. We waited forever for it to be delivered and when it came it didn't look right. The onions were just sliced on top and the garlic cloves were white. I told our server it didn't look right and she said usually the onions are brought to the pizza station already caramelized so this day they must not have had them. She didn't offer to have it fixed, replaced with something else or taken off the bill. I couldn't eat a raw onion and garlic pizza. My husband had a slice but not very appetizing. We took it home and I scraped the onions and garlic off and cooked them myself until they were soft and brown and then rewarmed the pizza. Ridiculous to pay NY Pizza so I could go home and cook my own food! Our waitress knew we were upset and did not care at all. When we were leaving she just smirked and said, " okay, bye, have a nice day." Worst of all I sent a message to NY Pizza on their website and they never even responded. Terrible experience. And with pizza places on every corner we will not be back to this one. read more

The food is amazing, we've had pizza numerous times as well as the fish and chips and the philly wrap. The pizza is out of this world..best around hands down. Fish and chips was a little over done but still good. They add horseradish to the slaw which adds a nice kick. The Philly cheesesteak was chuck full and I could only eat 1/2. The rating of 3 stars is for the drink prices. A kettle one on the rocks is $12!!!!!! I will continue to eat here but will no longer drink here at all. read more

This is frustrating, I go to enjoy a nice meal and I got put down harder than a raccoon with rabies they bring us to our table and it stick, they bring plates with crusted on food I ordered a chicken spinach wrap and when I say it tasted like someone with dirt on there hands made it. Way too expensive (like 2-4 dollars than any place around. Note you are in Conn not New York! Look at the prices of fresh beer in your backyard (Black pond which you don't even have on tap) So get this: You can't ask for a taste of the 7 plus dollar beer you're going to buy! Amazing pizza, great wings and burgers, plus wraps and much more! All home made apps and huge selection of beer on tap, (28) plus bottles. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. If you went during the first week, give them a break, then just opened and have a large following from a prior location. I swear people just love to log on and complain. My husband and I frequent NYPC. We love the pizza and the beer list - while a bit over priced they do have a great draft selection. One of the perks is the beer reward card where you get a punch for every 12 oz beer. We had cashed in our card last visit and asked for a new one. We were told the promotion was over however we noticed other customers getting their card punched. Really???? we eat there every week and we are refused the frequent purchase card? Well we are re-thinking our weekend pizza and beer location as a result! Frequent customers are being discriminated against - buyer beware. read more

You should have a sign explaining about the rules regarding not bringing food from another restaurant for children to eat. If there are rules they should be posted somewhere for customers to see. read more

The temperature is so hot in the restaurant I have sweated through my shirt. We waited 45 minutes for a table, that we can barley fit in the booth. No changing table in the bathroom so don't bring kids. So far the garlic bread has been the only good thing. Stay away from the garlic fries, they are very dry and you have to ask for sauce to dip both the bread and the fries. The tables are so close together the servers can barley get by. Water glasses go in filled. Also while waiting for a table the bartender was rude and not very nice when I asked for a beer. Overall I'm not impressed and I haven't even gotten the pizza yet. Had our pick of seats, and sat at a high top near the bar. After 5 or 8 minutes of sitting, we ordered an appetizer and 2 pints. After 25 minutes, a server asked what we would like to order, we let her know that we had ordered 2 pints and 8 wings. She came over with our pints, and was checking on our wings and then again and again and again checking on the 8 damn wings. We finally received them, not at all what we ordered, but we were starving and ate the hot wings, we had ordered mild with fresh garlic. Our pizza was so lack lustered. You really cannot go home again! We could not wait for NYP to open again! We were regulars in Plainfield, but the pizza was terrible today. They do not have strombolis on the menu anymore and we had heard how busy they have been, but we were 2 of 16 people in the place with plenty of wait staff, if you are in the trenches now, God help help you when you are actually busy! Luckily, for anyone with a brain, go to Black Pond to get a beer immediately rather than waiting 46 minutes for a pint, when you are feet from the bar. If the owner knows that they are in the trenches on a non-busy Sunday, then this place is in REAL trouble!!!!! Such a shame! We had such high hopes! read more

Alcohol prices are sky high I mean $8 for a beer come on? I ordered a buffalo chicken calzone and double checked it was made with breaded chicken and blue cheese. I wanted it the same as the pizza but in a calzone. I get it home dough is ridiculously thick so gross and cheese was melted on the outside wtf. Oh and it had tiny peices of diced up chicken chunks not the tenders like I asked. I called and complained walked back and had it remade. Oh but something to note is they charge extra for the tenders in it. Good food overall but inconsistent and overpriced for drinks. read more

I still can't understand why anyone gives New York Pizza a bad review.. my fiancée and I have been here multiple times and have yet to find any complaints. Service has always been prompt and friendly, with surprisingly short wait times even on busy days. Beer selection is the best I've seen in the area for sure. We typically get wings and pizza when we come here to eat. The wings always have a nice crispy outside, not soggy and "over-sauced" like a lot of places. Pizza comes out fast and has always been cooked to perfection. We have recently been trying some different menu items and have yet to be disappointed. Based on our interaction with the staff, I think that if we ever did have an issue they would handle it without question. We will certainly be coming back here regularly! read more

Last time I went with my dad in the afternoon and we sat at the bar. I got a salad and chips and chili for an appetizer. I originally ordered a garden salad with Italian dressing and was told they didn't have Italian so no big deal and I order a Caesar salad. The appetizers are huge, basically a meal themselves. For my main dish I got the pasta primavera. The description on the menu is your choice of pasta tossed in oil and garlic sauce topped with green vegetables (something along those lines) when it came out the toppings were red onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and a few other things (which none of those are green btw) so okay I don't like to complain so I just pushed aside the toppings and went for the pasta. It had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. It tasted like they took pasta out of the water and put it in the dish. You'd think you would be able to at least taste SOME garlic. So I told the waitress my problem and she rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to tell me what a pasta primavera was like I didn't know when I ordered it. I told her I know what it is but it doesn't taste like it had any oil or garlic on it and she cut me of and said "well they wouldn't have been able to sauté it without the oil" and I told her I know that. She eventually took it away and luckily took it off my bill. So all I ate was the salad and chili. Very disappointed, won't be back pizza pizzazz is much better and right next to it. read more
