Amazing pizza, extremely close to NYC style. As a born and bred New Yorker, I can say this with certainty. The other items though lack flavor. The mozzarella pieces had zero flavor, not seasoned at all and the fried Brussels ate drenched in balsamic, it's overdone. I hate when restaurants that specialize in one thing branch out and offer too many options, something loses out. New York Pizza is a great place to go with family, friends, or out for a nice night as a couple. The beer selection is extensive and ever changing which is always a treat. It's fun to get to try so many new beers. I normally opt to do a flight so I get to try a few different ones. We love getting the basic tomato, basil, cheese pizza but sometimes enjoy switching it up. We always start with the dry rub wings which are salty and delicious. I love everything about NYPC. The staff was friendly and very efficient. The draft beer selection offered a wide variety of brews from many local breweries. The pizza made me happy. When I moved here over a year ago I was so disappointed in the pizza selection. I finally found my go to pizza joint. The thin crust had flavor and a nice crisp texture. We came all the way from East Hartford to go to this restaurant because the pizza is so good. We will be going back again on Saturday and every chance we get. It is worth the ride. Last time we had the South Street Seaport pizza with mozzarella, clams and bacon. Absolutely delicious. And fair priced too. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was clean, fresh, comfortable and just right. Staff were friendly , attentive and wait was perfect. Beer and wine were to our taste with the helpful suggestions of the staff. We would be there every week if we lived in the area. People living there who do not go there are truly missing delicious food and a great fun time. read more

If we could give it a zero we definitely would. Thought we would stop by for look because let's be honest pizza is great. We ordered our drinks, wings and pizza took about 10 minutes for wings which were GREAT btw. 10 minutes following that the pizza came here is where it gets bad. When the pizza arrived the it was obviously burn on top. However we were hungry so we tried to eat it upon diving in we notice not only were parts burnt but still doughy throughout the inside. We told the waitress the problem with no relief, final the manager came over and to our surprise asked us if "It was EDIBLE". That was really surprising to us who would ask that. It wasn't until person at my table seen a friend called him over and we took a picture of it did they offer to pay for the pizza and get us a new one. After all that when we paid for our drinks in wing we were given the wrong change.Now home with a stomachache and other "stuff". read more

My wife and I were excited when we heard NY Pizza was open again, as we regularly visited the old Plainfield location. Unfortunately the new location has a lot of kinks to work out until we will try it again. The good: the pizza was very good for that style of pizza, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and the beer list was extensive and good. The bad: beers and mixed drinks were well outpriced for the area, the service was bad (likely due to inexperience), the wings weren't that great, and my pasta dish was rather bland, it took us over 10 minutes to get drinks, one entree came out with the appetizer while the other entree didn't come out for another 10 minutes, our waitress would disappear for long stretches which caused other waitresses in the area to need to help us get the check and box up the food. All in all pretty disappointed. Oh, this was all on a Tuesday night - not a busy weekend. Hopefully the owners read reviews on here or else I fear all their efforts to re-open the restaurant will be wasted. read more

Thank goodness New York Pizza has returned to us. Having loved this restaurant in its previous location it is great to have it back. Of course, the pizza is excellent but I would recommend limiting toppings to let the crust really get nice and crisp. Also had the wings and would highly recommend the Wings a la New York Pizza. Always a solid meal eating in that doesn't carry out quite as well. read more

My kids and I go out for Pizza and fries every Friday. We've been to pizza joints all over the Quiet Corner. This was probably the worst we've encountered. First, it was way too loud for eating dinner. Second, the fries were not crisp and came a bit cool. Third, the pizza was a messy pile of grease! Our waitress was very nice, but other than that, I have nothing positive to say about this place. read more

New York Pizza Co is EXCELLENT! Their pizza's hands down the best in the area and they offer non-traditional pies and topping combos you dont see everyday. The "Baked Potato and Bacon" pizza is out of this world and the cheese pizza is quite flavorful (if the cheese pizza's good, chances are the others will be too). Closest pie to what you would get up in the North End in Boston. We have only done take-out (always on the go) and out of the 5 times we've ordered, it's taken 15-20 mins and orders were ready to go upon arrival and everything was as ordered, which CAN NOT be said for the majority of establishments in the area. They ask if you need any extras, while cashing out. I always appreciate when an employee compliments your order or shares with you how they really like that item. One of the girls suggested another menu item I may like, judging from what we ordered. They are all smiling when you walk in and all employees are willing to help if needed or point you in the right direction. The wings are easily the best around and they have a plethora of flavors (love hot buffalo, kind of a wing snob, so I havent tried the other flavors yet, but really want to try the peanut butter wings, I hear they're delicious. You can get pizza by the slice, perfect if you're on the go and they also have a small to-go beverage fridge with some great choices (quality bottled rootbeer). Definitely give these guys a shot or 2 or 3....sooo good. They did have some slight issues when first opening, delayed orders, order accuracy issues and the like, but this is understandable when first starting out, especially when you're swamped, right from day one. I have never been disappointed here! Great selections. Grinders are good, pizza is great. Bartenders friendly and efficient. Gets very busy at times. Especially weekends. If you do order a Hawaiian pizza it does come with maraschino cherries. Wasn't a fan but it wasn't bad either! read more

Quaint little pizza shop that smells delicious as soon as you walk in. It's a seat yourself kind of place with a nicely decorated bar side and a quieter dining room option. They sell slices to go, which is a great lunch/dinner option. The pizza was a flatter woodfired crust that was crunchy yet soft. My friend also had a chicken parmesan wrap which came out nice and hot with onions and peppers. The dining staff was friendly and attentive. The waitress was knowledgeable and recommended a beer when my favorite was out and my friend ordered a mixed drink-vodka cranberry with Sprite/Sierra Mist. Unfortunately, the drink was the only negative experience. I wouldn't suggest ordering soda/mixed drinks with soda from this place because it was extremely flat. We brought it to the staff's attention that the Co2 in the machine might be out and would like the drink to be remade, since it tasted like cranberry flavored water. The waitress took our drink to the back and it was quickly brought back to us with a side cup of the Sierra mist to prove it was bubbly without the drink being remade. This was extremely disappointing as the drink was AWFUL. I would come back, but for the food only. read more

The space inside is a bit deceiving from the outside. The dining area was much smaller than expected. Would recommend keeping that in mind during peak days/hours. Hands down the best pizza I have ever had! We have been there 4 times since they opened and every time the food was spot on. From the fried brussel sprouts to the 1 lb meatball and how could I forget the house made potato chips, everything has been amazing. Great job, NYPC! read more
