Everton was likewise pleasant. He concluded that the malfunction was most likely due to a defective printhead. I wrote an email to New York Printer Repair, aka ABS, explaining my problem because I wasn't sure I could explain it sufficiently well on the phone. I have a two-year-old Canon desktop printer, for which I paid no more than $180. I opted for such a low-price printer because I'd gotten caught in Canon's (ink overflow tank is full....sorry) traps before and had to buy a new printer. The guy in the office who schedules the repairs is professional but the guy who does the repair work outside of the office is not. Upon arrival at my apartment he told me my address was wrong. While standing in front of me he opened the printer top door where the toner is changed and broke the door right off. Then insisted that he did not break it even when he picked out pieces of plastic had just fallen inside the printer. He was supposed to do cleaning of the printer but immediately called his office and said he was leaving and would not do anything. read more
