Let me start this by saying how fantastic Rachel O'Connor was though out the entire purchasing process. We are in California and communicated to Newberg Ford that we were looking at an F550 Lariat cab/chassis that they had. These are a fairly rare find and we needed it "yesterday" she was able to not only have a service body on the truck and ready to roll within 2.5 weeks, but dealt with my "nit-picky-ness" for days on end. We only get a new service truck once every 10 years, so we wanted to make sure we were getting what we wanted/needed. all paperwork was overnight-ed with a return envelope and the whole transaction was extremely smooth. Her crew picked us up from the airport and drove us to the dealership to receive our new truck. Rachel was able to recommend a good hotel that just happened to be directly behind the dealership. To the service technician Kyle who spent over ten minutes berating me when I went to pickup my car after they took all day 7am-5:15pm to service the transmission fluid. the Amount of unprofessionalism you displayed while being incredibly rude to me. Treating me like I didn't know the condition of my tires, rating them a 0/32 and saying "next time it rains I shouldn't even drive". Again they literally just see a cute little innocent girl and they think they can scare you into more money if it was that big of a deal they would have called and should have called me during the day to tell me that. The only reason I went to Ford is because I had to or I wouldn't have and won't be going to Newberg Ford in the future. Really disappointed. Got my last oil change here and it was a great price and quick experience...but here's why I won't return for service. I just moved into Newberg so bummer. Typically at Ford (locally) I get charged $100 ish for a diagnostic fee and that goes to repair as well ( had these done on my 2019 F-250 diesel which is more expensive on maintenance . Especially on something easy like this. They want $200+ (crazy) 'testing fee' and the $300+ for parts and labor (standard). David couldn't help me on this but at least he informed me of my maintenance recommendations due 14k miles ago which are up to date. All this to say, the repair is scheduled elsewhere. I am happy to pay for the repair. I just don't have the confidence these guys will give me a fair(subjective it's a dealership, I know) price or not lead with a sale. A young adult trying to build his credit and start his career, now has to start over with a hard pull on his report. Completely unethical and terrible character on everyone's part here. The reputation of dealers are defined by these moments. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. Completely disappointed and angry about how these guys do business. They screwed over my 20 year old son buying his first nice vehicle. We Went to look at a 2018 f150. We were told we couldn't drive it because it hadn't gone through service so we went back another day to drive it. We agreed to buy until we Found an issue with the transmission. They said they would run it through the shop and Ford agreed it needed a major transmission repair. It took a week and My son kept in communication the entire time( proactively) since he was already approved through Newberg ford and had his down payment in hand. So the Truck gets done today and they sell it out from under him while he was on his way. The salesman Chris tried to pressure him to put a $2k non refundable deposit down which also shady considering we knew that they needed to rebuild the transmission. Why would he agree to that knowing he hasn't checked the repair? Complete cop out and careless option. I also Noticed they raised the price online so congrats on the extra profit. They get a lot of their trucks from Canada, make sure if this bothers you to check the car-fax. They've had a few trucks that are hard to find but it's because they are getting them from Canada (Canada trucks are cheaper to buy and then sell for higher) read more

Was in the market for a new car. Had sold our only car since my wife and I work from home - So we didn't have a car to drive to Newberg Ford from Columbia County. Kevin the used car manager, Nate in sales, and Mike in finance were all incredibly transparent and helpful with me from the start. What I really appreciate is that, even though I had to do this deal completely over the phone and via text, they took my business seriously the whole way through. Not only that, they even drove over an hour to come get me in Columbia County and drive me back to the dealership so I could test drive the car. They worked harder to get me numbers and I'm thankful and fortunate they had the color and trim I wanted. That helped for sure! I got the deal I wanted. IMO, Newberg Ford beat Damerow, Landmark, Tonkin/Hillsboro, Bud Clary Ford in customer service, professionalism, and price!! That's rare to get all 3! They didn't even force me to put a deposit or a down payment to hold the car. They just marked it as sold! Just an A+ experience from top to bottom. BUYER BEWARE! This dealer is not to be trusted. When you take delivery of your new vehicle be very careful to check EVERYTHING, especially cosmetic flaws or damage, and DO NOT accept the vehicle until it is acceptable. We picked up the Transit on January 31, saw the gouges on Feb 8 and took it in on the 9th to show their body shop. We did not inspect it before pickup and that was a HUGE mistake. The front bumper and rear door trim should have been replaced - but Newberg only offered (upon pressing the point) to 'buff out' gouges in unpainted textured plastic pieces - which several ford and independent body shops advised would be foolish and result in more obvious damage. These guys are sleazes. Never again. read more

HIGHLY Recommend NOT buying a used car at Newberg Ford. I bought a 2015 Subaru from them in December. Took it in to a Subaru dealership to get it inspected. There was an oil leak, long story short, the only way to fix it was to take the ENTIRE motor out, and the 2 rear wheel bearings needed to be replaced. That was a $5k + job. That took a month to get back. Drove it for 2 days and the Transmission went out. That was a $8,200 job. Spoke to the Sales manager once I found out about the leak, and got nothing but attitude from him. He just kept saying "Good thing you bought a warranty" and " I'm not sure what you want me to tell you to make you feel better". I responded with, "I'm not looking for you to make me feel better, this looks terrible on your part" I asked for a copy of the inspection report from when they took the car in on trade. There was an oil leak stated on the report, but NOT mentioned to me when I bought the car. One good thing, if you want to call it that, the finance guy INSISTED that I buy the warranty. Even after I turned it down several times. The price of the warranty somehow magically went from $6k, that was declined. Then offered to me for $2,000 or so. I have owned the car for 5 months, There has been $13,000 worth of repairs. (All covered by warranty luckily) Hopefully this is it for a while. I have made 3 car payments without even driving the car. Never got any sort of apology even. It seemed as though they don't even care that they sold me an absolute POS. If I could give a -5* review, I would. Hopefully someone high up Newberg Ford sees this. If its happened to me, its probably happened to more people. In my opinion. I got a decent deal on a van I bought from Newberg Ford after that is when the problems started. I ended up having to fix the van at an auto parts store due to a blown off CAC tube. Luckily it was as simple as tightening a clamp and clearing a underboost code. (Keep in mind the CAC tube blew off because of poor workmanship on Newbergs end, that tube was removed to replace a leaking exhaust manifold per an agreement made before the van was purchased.) About a month later I called newberg frustrated as the title still wasn't sent out. Admittedly I was angry but hearing Brad tell me to "have at it" when it came to reviewing Newberg ford was the cherry on top. I called inquiring about a used Ford Ranger and scheduled an appt. I was a few minutes late. I showed up and walked around the lot for a bit looking at trucks and no one came to greet me. I went to the sales office and found a guy in a sweatshirt and flat brimmed hat behind a computer. I had to go up to him to say I was there to look at a truck and I had an appt. He said "oh that's with me" He then gave me a set a keys and said the truck is out there somewhere. You can hit the panic button and go look for it. I was blown away. I don't like super pushy sales people, but I also like a little effort on their part. I liked the truck. I told him I had cash and wanted to be at a certain number. Obviously I said a lower number. He was going to talk to his manager and call me back. Never heard a word. I feel like he was trying not to sell cars. So I went to another dealer and purchased a new truck. read more

What a surprisingly great experience with the sales team at Newberg Ford. We worked with Paul Pappas for the entire transaction and he made it very pleasant. This is saying a lot as I had a terrible experience at another Ford dealer in Beaverton. I called Paul and asked about a truck. I told him what I wanted to do and Paul was very clear about price and finance options. I made a time to come look at and test drive the truck. Needless to say it was perfect and I bought. I was in there on Sunday, and what I saw disgusted me. I saw three salesman yelling at a customer. What happened is they told the guy he had a fake Hummer because it was not an H1. He was looking at a SUV with a salesman, and he commented that the interior was too small for him, and then two more salesman said it was actually bigger. They shouldn't of eavesdropped into the conversation with the salesman, they were halfway across the show room watching TV. There's never an excuse to correct a customer, and even guys that work at McDonald's know that the customer is always right. That is salesman's rule number one in customer service. The goal certainly is not to make a customer look like an idiot when he makes inquiry into a show room. Bottom line - the customer is always right, and never insult a customer or his vehicle, or have salesman heckle him in the show room regardless of what his personal opinion is. I left the dealership without making a purchase and I don't plan on going back. read more

I called the Internet manager/Paul and he went and checked to make sure the vehicle we were looking at online was still available, called us back promptly, we drove over there got there at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon and by 530 we had our new truck and they were just wonderful to work with. Dean the finance guy was extremely personable didn't try to push anything as far as extended warranty or gap insurance or any of that stuff he just mentioned it and ask if we wanted further information. If it was possible to give this dealership zero stars I would. I have never experienced more rude sales people in my life. My husband went into the dealership to ask specific questions about a specific truck that we have been looking at. He was met with nothing but hostility and sarcastic responses and to be honest, very aggressive body language coming from the salesman. We obviously will not be doing business with this place and as my husband turned to walk out the door one of the sales guys asked him what he drove, his response, a Hummer H2. Then the sales person goes on to tell him that we drive an inferior model. Great way to get new customers by insulting their current vehicles, especially when we actually drive a bad ass truck.
