After a bad experience at another dealership, decided to give Newberg a try. Told Tyler what I was looking for, what I could pay. He did his best to make that happen. After some haggling with another guy (Jason) and then forced to listen to a cookie jar analogy, I restated what I wanted and what I could afford because my "cookie jar", no matter how long it is on the shelf, has a finite number of cookies in it. They were able to come down within $400 of where I needed the price to be. They were willing to look for a vehicle without a moonroof, which is what I really wanted, but in the end, they made me an offer on an Explorer with one. Tyler listened and was really helpful. The other guys...tried to push me, which was frustrating. It was past closing when all the paperwork went through, and that felt super rushed and unpleasant, I had to go fill the gas tank myself, and had no idea where anything was on the vehicle. Tyler helped me sync my phone and plug a route home in on the navigation, but I would have appreciated more of a vehicle tutorial. From 5 star to 1 star overnight. I do not write reviews often. Only when I have an amazing experience, or a terrible one. So please note that me taking the time to write this out means I'm truly disappointed. My husband went in at the end of September to shop for a car. He was so excited and happy with the service when he found a car he liked in his budget. The dealership, or the salesman I should say, was very willing to help out because my husband had two cars to trade it, one of which was not running. My husband was very, very clear about that vehicle and told them he had no idea what was wrong with it. They took it anyways, and gave him $500 for it. Everything was good to go, my husband took both cars he was trading in there that day and then drove off the lot with his new car! He was so excited and pleased with the service.. and then everyone changed their tune. Within the same week his brand new car (it had less than 20 miles when he drove it off the lot) was dying when I started it, and also overheating. So my husband scheduled an appointment to have it looked at to make sure nothing was wrong, since a brand new car shouldn't be doing that, right? Well, when my husband takes the car in to get looked over, some other salesman that was not involved in my husbands transaction at all comes out yelling at him about the car he traded in that didn't run.. They were pissed that he traded it in.. because it didn't run? My husband was VERY clear when he was making the deal that the car did not run and he did not know for sure what was wrong with it. Hence, him needing to get a new car. There was also a screw up on paperwork, but that is honestly the least of my annoyance at this point. Every single time he goes in there he gets treated like garbage, from different employees, about this trade in that they AGREED TO TAKE. For $500. Sounds like a person problem, right? Maybe don't agree to take in a car that wasn't running. We did not lie about, we were not dishonest about the condition of the car. But whatever, we shrugged it off, two months go by. We thought we were done with this place and moved on. THEN, my husband got a bill in the mail yesterday from a toll booth in Washington. We don't drive through Washington, ever. We looked up the plate, it belonged to the other car he traded in on this deal. It was a $10, no big deal, but obviously the title never got transferred, and someone is driving a car around under my husbands name. So my husband called the dealership last night to find out what happened. They again, were very unhelpful, but at least not rude. My husband stopped in today to give them some paperwork on the bill in case they need it, and what do you know? The employee he is dealing with brings up the non running trade in, AGAIN. Then insults my husband by saying "that $10 doesn't even come close to what we had to deal with with your trade in." (The car that didn't run.) Insinuating that we should just pay it and leave them alone, except the money isn't the issue here. It's the fact there is car still in my husbands name that we traded in to them. Needless to say, we will NEVER come to this dealership again. Not even for maintenance on the car we purchased from there. Because why would we when we get treated like absolute shit every time we go there? I have never been so appalled in my life by a customer service experience anywhere. Absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable, and just bad for business. So congrats Newberg Ford, you got a one and only one time customer because your employees don't know how to be decent human beings. read more

I was disappointed in this dealer. After requesting a trade in quote that was in the range of $6-$8000. I went to try to make a deal on purchasing a used truck. Once arriving they would only offer $5000 for trade and a call was received while I was there and I was told it was someone else interested in the same truck. A little shady. Also while sitting in the waiting area a salesman was disciplined for not noticing someone walking in the door, very unprofessional. I took my 2006 f350 there for a Oil Change and 5 hours and 218.00 later I got my truck back. Seems when they pulled the oil filter out the broke the tube inside the filter housing guess these get brittle over time don't ask me how when the damn thing is always coated in oil. Anyway took forever and a day to get the part which was a little confusing when they are the dealer with a parts dept. learned my lesson for sure the most expensive oil change I have ever paid for . Thinking maybe time to trade the Ford for a Dodge.. won't be back! read more

Called July 12 to inquire about getting a recall repair completed. "Randy" indicated he would order the part and give me a call to schedule an appointment. The repair could be done in about an hour and I could wait. On July 31, I called again to check on the status of the part since I had heard nothing from Randy. The part is in but he had overlooked giving me a call to schedule the appointment. Now the repair will take half a day. No thanks Randy. read more

Bought a 2017 F150. I'm super happy with the truck, but the process hasn't been that pleasant. The listing showed it with floor mats, which it doesn't apparently have. Was supposed to have two keys, which it doesn't. Jordan and Keven said they'd wash it and hook me up with a half tank of gas since it was well under a quarter of a tank, neither happened. With the key I was just told that they're "only" $75 on eBay plus the cost to program. Was also told sorry on the floor mats and to go buy some. There is a plastic trim piece that's broken on the front bumper, I asked if they would order me one in place of the gas/key fob/floor mats. Was told it was something they can't buy from Ford. The 30 second Google search I did came up with a part # and multiple local dealers show availability. The buying process was rushed because everyone wanted to go home, which I completely understand, but I made it clear that I wasn't going to be there until 6 or so and was told to come on in. The salesmen didn't even shake my hand after we completed the paperwork or walk us out to our new truck. Not one to complain normally and have never done a review like this before, but this has been some of the worst customer service I've ever had. read more

We called this dealership in regards to an off dealership brand used car they have been advertising for 150 days. This particular car is $2,000.00 less than what they normally sell for. And I have the history of this car being priced $2000.00 to $2,500.00 since they began advertising it. We called and asked if we could schedule a test drive. When we arrived, lo-and-behold the car had "Sold to someone last night!" (What bad luck for us a car that had been advertised for 5 months being sold just the night before we want a test drive) and then "Are you interested in a Ford?". As of this review, the car we wanted is still advertised on their site for sale. Now I have no proof this is a bait and switch... I mean a car dealership would never go to the lengths of advertising a car that doesn't exist or they just refuse to sell and use as a loss leader to get someone to show up to their out-of-the-way dealership in Newberg... No, I have no proof of that. But they should get some weekend help to update their website or some people might jump to conclusions. 1 star because we drove out to Newberg to test drive a car that was already sold after we called ahead of time. read more

Unlocked the vehicle I wanted to look at FROM THE BUILDING BY REMOTE and never walked out to assist. I asked to look at another van to compare vehicles and they said they couldn't do that as it was on the fleet lot!! I was planning on purchasing either one or the other. WILL never shop there again. Just lost my sale and everyone else I can warn off. Called to make a constructive complaint and they argued back. Goodness- does customer service even exist there?? Bought a low mile used Ford F350 from Newberg Ford. I wanted to buy a Ford warranty for the truck. If anything goes wrong with the diesel it's expensive to fix. They told me "we don't sell Ford warranties". Sold me a worthless warranty from Fidelity Warranty Service. Fidelity has to be the worst company on the planet. The complaint list is endless. Now I have a sticking turbo and will be paying the entire bill to fix it. Don't let them sell you a garbage warranty. Only get a genuine Ford warranty. If they won't sell you one, walk away....er...make that run away. At least I'll get some of my money back from canceling the Fidelity contract. My next step is contact Ford and file a complaint in addition to getting a real Ford service contract. read more

You don't need to go to an aquarium to see sharks. The salesmen began to circle around you as soon park your car in the lot. My husband and I came here in search of a used car and the salesman pushed every car we didn't like. After we test drove a car that interested us, we told the man we'd let him know about our decision the next day. We did some research and learned that the insurance premium (for 6 months) was half the cost of the car. Fail. When confronted with this information, the salesman became upset and got his manager to try to sell us the car. We left the shark tank and never looked back. read more

I've never experienced the level of dishonesty and unwillingness to take responsibility for their actions as I have with newberg ford. I had my engine replaced to the tune of 11k at the beginning of January The day I picked up my truck my electrical systems were left unplugged, Blindspot warning systems were dangling by the tailgate, It was like they never even double checked the truck after a cab off engine replacement. within 25 miles the truck was miss firing and leaking coolant, I immediately had it towed back where they replaced spark plugs and fixed the leak. I was told all was fine ford musta put bad plugs in it at the factory. within 75 miles the truck again began to misfire and started blowing white smoke out the exhaust. Again, I have it towed on my dime back to the shop where they determined the engine was destroyed. Newberg ford said that I must have gotten the wrong gas or that I was a victim of vandalism and the ethanol content was above normal. I was told to come pick up my truck and they were not willing to warranty or help me in any way. I almost lost it.... 11k thanks and take a hike is what I was told. I have spent the last two months having independent lab and shop tests done and without a doubt the cause of the failure was due to the injectors, defective parts newberg put back on my new engine because they never properly diagnosed the first engine failure. This information being unbiased and concluded by third party shops proves negligence and incompetence but newberg ford still can't seem to find Any amount of honesty or professionalism To take responsibility for their actions. The lowest level you can reach is where this shop will stay. I would not consider dealing in any way with newberg ford, a Small amount of research will uncover the way they operate, reprimanded by the state and they still continue to be deceitful. Go somewhere else.. oh and I'll see ya in court soon where you will be held accountable. read more

I walked into the Ford dealership with the intention of making an appointment but was told to swing by the body shop and make an appointment there. Who ever was sitting at the desk was one of the most personable and friendly people I have ever encountered. My car ended up needing a few different things. He dropped what he was doing and spent an hour with another laborer fixing my lights and checking on me to make sure I was doing okay. When I asked where I could check out, he shook my hand and said Merry Christmas. As a reward for having looked a few different places he ensured an amazing end experience at no charge. OMG DO NOT SHOP AT NEWBERG FORD. Bought a car last Saturday at a "sales event" traded in our old one. Had to go through the dog n pony show to get the value/payments we were VERY clear about. Took home a used car that came in earlier in the same day and had not been detailed or inspected yet. Said to come back for this. Told the salesman we worked 2 hours away so we could come on sat next. Salesman said anytime is fine. DID NOT SET APPT. We left the dealership after 5 HOURS of waiting. When we arrived the manager I spoke to on monday apparently set an 8am appt not the anytime I was promised. We sat in the showroom for 4 hours and were given the status report and told the car was going to be detailed next. This took an hour and the outside looks like it went through a car wash, inside was quickly washed center console clearly NOT touched. The salesmen agreed to fill tank. do not do business with this dealership. They are currently running a prize scam. They send you a mailer with a scratch section on it and of course you win. I "won" and ATV worth $4000. You are instructed to call a number to confirm your win and to set and "appointment" to go collect your prize. I called and was told I won and set a time to go the the dealership. I went and just as suspected a fictitious winning number was posted.Keep in mind there was no mention a "Board" confirming your win in the mailer. Then they try to pawn off a pathetic hotel stay. That was a winning option on the mailer but my card won the ATV, not the hotel stay. I am sure this scam is illegal as there was no mention in the fine print of the mailer that indicated a winner was pre-selected or that you were not a winner until you confirmed the win on a "board" in the dealership. The sad thing for this dealership is that I am actually in the market for a new truck and they just lost my business. You can not trust a liar. This dealership is a lie and a scam. I would have shopped there if they had never sent me the fraudulent contest mailer in the first place. They should fire the General Manager and anyone else involved in creating the contest scam. We are traveling for the summer, towing a 33 foot 5th wheel trailer with our Ford F-250 truck. As we were leaving McMinnville OR for Washington, the truck began to idle rough. We were approaching Newberg and there was road construction that caused us to have to slow down. The truck then lost power and I had to turn it off. When I turned it back on, I was able to drive the truck to the closest Ford dealership, which was Newberg Ford. There, our service advisor was Daniel Radcliffe. He allowed us to disconnect the trailer and told us that they would be able to check out the truck that afternoon. He said that it would probably not be ready before 5pm. It was 10am at the time. He determined that the problem was a fuel injector. They had the part there and by 3pm the truck was ready and we were on our way to Washington. I had bad credit from poor decision making as a kid but on the upswing, I had a really negative outlook towards car buying from previous experiences, and I don't even usually go for Fords as my car brand of choice. All that going in and I still am giving it 5 stars. I was lucky enough to work with a salesman named Guy Reed and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Low stress, low hassle, no roundabout BS, easy Q&A, he was patient and I can promise you I put that poor guy (no pun intended) through the ringer. He knew his specs, he knew his finance, he knew when to give me space and let me mull it around in my brain for a bit, which is a rare quality in a car salesman from what I have seen. I feel like most people only post these reviews when they have something really bad to say, so i figured i'd take a few minutes to give credit where credit is due.
