I am increasing my rating to 3 stars, since the dealership came through on paying for the repairs to the A-Pilar and sending me a new charger (even though it was a Level 1 charger and these cars come with a Level 2). All-in-all the crew at Newberg CDJR communicated throughout the whole process, fixed the body damage, sent a new charger and are still working on my title from Oregon so I can complete the registration. This has been the most difficult purchase ever, but I must say they did try to make things right, so credit to them for that. read more

We have been loyal customers since we purchased our Jeep Gladiator in 2021. We recently dropped it off to have the dead battery replaced and they charged us $1200. Nothing else needed to be done, just a dead battery. $527 for 2 hours of labor... absolutely ridiculous. We will never be returning for either sales or service. read more

Great place to buy I came in with less than perfect credit had two broken cars. They took one in on trade and treated me very well. They gave me a car that was very dependable and then I could use for 2 to 3 years so I highly recommend this establishment to go in even if you have less than perfect credit to go in and get a good car. A couple of years ago, I decided to support a local business and purchased my Jeep from Bob Lanphere's Newberg Jeep. Since then, I've brought my Jeep back for routine services like oil changes and tire rotations, and unfortunately, there's always been an issue. However, my most recent experience was by far the worst customer service I've ever encountered. When my check engine light came on Thursday night, I made an appointment Friday morning to bring my Jeep in and figure out what was wrong. I showed up for my 11:30 appointment, expecting to get a diagnosis, an estimate, and a timeline for repairs. Instead, I was told this was just a "drop-off appointment" and that they wouldn't even connect it to an OBD reader until the following Monday or Tuesday. Essentially, they wanted me to leave my Jeep there for five days without even knowing what was wrong, what it would cost, or how long repairs would take. When I asked why I needed an appointment if all I was doing was dropping it off, the only response was, "That's just how we do things." On top of that, they informed me it's always a minimum of two business days to provide a repair estimate, and they handed me a $200 bill upfront for the diagnostic test. As a single person with only one car, leaving my Jeep there for five days wasn't an option. Frustrated, I drove to AutoZone, where they ran a free check engine light test within 10 minutes of me walking in. Not only did they clear the light, but they also printed out a detailed report of the issue. It turned out the problem wasn't urgent, so I took my Jeep to a different shop the following Monday for service. Had I left my Jeep at Bob Lanphere's that Friday, I'd likely still be without a car and out hundreds of dollars in rental fees--not to mention the $200 they wanted to charge me for a simple OBD test. To summarize: Bob Lanphere's wanted me to leave my vehicle for five days without even diagnosing the issue, charged $200 upfront for a service that other places perform for free, and left me with no car in the meantime. I will never buy another vehicle from Bob Lanphere's, nor will I return for any type of service. A quick visit to AutoZone saved me time, money, and stress. Did I mention I purchased my Jeep from them? Absolutely unacceptable. read more

I just bough Rubicon x last week. It's fantastic car. I traded in my 4xe Rubicon. My whole purchasing experience was very pleasant and quick. Sir Isaac, one of the salesmen help me from the beginning till the end. I only deal with him from negotiating the price till signed the paperwork. Long story short, I brought my Jeep in to get checked out for a starting issue. It turned out to be the battery. I had tested it before bringing it in, and it showed 85% health--but apparently, it was completely dead. That part was on me. Then came the quote: $1,100 to replace the battery, which is absurd. I found a new battery down the street for $109. There was another issue. When I bought the vehicle, I also (reluctantly) purchased the maintenance package, which was supposed to cover things like oil changes. While they were diagnosing the battery issue, I asked them to go ahead and do an oil change since it was due. After discussing the $1,100 battery replacement, the service rep told me the oil change would be $150. I reminded her that it should be covered under my maintenance plan. She said the dealership had been sold, and they no longer honor those plans--I'd have to go to the previous owner's other locations about an hour away instead. She acknowledged the frustration and said they didn't get much notice either, but told me she'd cover the oil change this time. When I went to pick up the Jeep, they charged me for half the oil change. When I asked why--since I was told it would be fully covered--she just said, "Well, we don't usually do this, so I was doing you a favor." If I had known I'd be charged anything, I wouldn't have approved the oil change. She misled me, plain and simple. Neither myself, nor my company will be purchasing vehicles or bringing them in for service to this location ever again. All because they wanted another $75... read more

Probably the worst after sale service I have ever had. As a 58 year old who has purchased several new cars over the years. The service department at Newberg jeep is by far and away the WORST experience. Why, because they will try and cheat you. An $80K+ new Grand Cherokee, under factory warranty, would not start. They wanted a $500 "pre authorization" for a battery, prior to even looking at the car. Amazingly poor service, and a scam of a sale to attempt. read more

These folks did a shakedown of my daughter when she brought her Chrysler 200 in with transmission problems. They told her she needed a new transmission, brakes, rotors, new spark plugs, a fuel injection treatment and a brake flush. Grand total $13600. Basically what a shake down is, you take a vulnerable person and shake them like a Christmas tree and see how much money falls out. Needless to say we said no. Took the vehicle to AAMCO where they pulled the transmission pan, cleaned out a sensor. Fixing the issue for $630. In the meantime these folks contacted my daughter and tried to sell her a new car. They preyed on her because she was a young woman, hard of hearing, without much automotive knowledge. Not only is this type of dealer behavior immoral, it should be illegal. Beware. read more

At first, very kind and approachable. Did her job in trying to advise and include extra service. I declined the service and she typed up the paper. Signed, and went on my way. Come to find out they did the service I didn't want done anyway. There was zero attempt to make this right and even the sales manager laughed on the phone and said "he signed it, he pays for it". Before Christmas, this is a nasty trick. I even offered to meet half way and say we both made the mistake. There was NEVER any attempt to make anything right, offer any discount or try and figure out a plan moving forward. All they care about is getting you in and out and any service they can add on. Not only was this disappointing that they lost a customer that day, but no one else I know buying a vehicle wants to buy from there either. In this difficult car selling market they fit the "typical used car sales" model. Watch out when you get service done there she's MAKE SURE you read through every tiny detail regardless of what you tell them. And find a way to document what you agree to. Buyer BEWARE! They will excuse this away and say that we were "x y and z" but at the end of the day, there is a reason they lost multiple customers because of this. Newberg Jeep Ram will respond to this claiming that they are the victim and that somehow I was a wild maniac in the service area. Convinent that they have no cameras to back this up and instead lie about the entire incident to save face. But you can see from their reviews here that no one has a good experience outside of selling you a vehicle. I'll include my response to their inevitable lie that they have posted on other reviews. Feel free to search those out. This is a good example of a company lying to save face. At the end of the day you did what you did and it's my word vs yours. The fact that you accidently left on a service that most folks would skip over, is my fault for not double checking. I made myself very clear that $500 for a non needed service wasn't something I was interested in. After multiple attempts by your service attendant to "upsell" me I finally had to firmly say, for the 4th time "NO". She listened to my declination and even made comments about it being "hard to have a Christmas with all the things one needs so she "totally understands". There was also no reconsidering on your part. After I found out you did the service against my wishes, I paid! and made it very clear that you lost a customer that day. Anyone being swindled out of $500 a few days before Christmas would obviously be upset and I understand the embellishment to make you look better. She then even called the service manager which, unaware to her the volume was up so I could hear everything. She told him the situation and then made it seem like there was a "misunderstanding". He was clearly audible in saying "well did he sign the paper" to which she sheepishly answered yes, knowing there was an issue. And he responded "*laughing* then he pays for it, too bad." Clearly this isn't your first time with this situation as he knew very quickly how to shut it down with zero empathy or desire to fix it. There was however NEVER a time where I threatened anyone or cursed AT anyone there. Your service reviews online speak for themselves as far as your honesty, and anyone who knows me will read this and understand exactly what you're doing. There is no love loss here on never coming back to your establishment as honesty is an integral part of doing business, which your company very much lacks. We had a great experience getting our Dodge Diesel serviced here for routine maintenance. I also really appreciate the service guy not trying to up sell us on things. That right there makes us know we will go back. He gave us the info we needed to know for future fuel filters needed but we can do it next service and we appreciate not being lied to just to make a sale. They made a return customer instead and the service guy was great. read more

We arranged to stop at this dealership to look at a 2009, GMC truck. We already had been pre-approved and told in writing what the interest rate would be. Here is what happened after we test drove the truck. The salesman said they are a one person dealership, meaning that's all you deal with. No shenanigans running back and forth to the Sales manager or whatever the guy in the back calls himself. We asked if they were firm on the price. The salesman said they are a one price dealership, but he went to talk to the sales manager and returned with one of the lamest excuses ever. He said they have to honor the price that they post, because it just wouldn't be fair if someone else came in the day before and offered them $500 less and they were turned away; then we were given a discount. He said they were losing money on this deal. Right! That was original. We began the paperwork, and the salesman tried to sell us every add on known to man for this truck almost doubling the price. We said we weren't interested in any of them. Just wanted to buy the truck. Then we asked for them to fill up the fuel. Salesman said they can't do that; but they could probably put in a couple of gallons. He said they only fill up the tank on a new car sale. Off the truck went to be cleaned up for the sale. The salesman left for a third time to go talk with the magic sales manager again. Apparently dealing with only one person means you don't talk to the sales manager, only the salesman does. The salesman brought back the paperwork and low and behold the interest rate had increased by 1/2 a percent. When asked why, the salesman said it's because we live in Lincoln County. At that point we said we were done and left. Today we saw they jacked up the price on the truck $3000. What a scam. I would recommend reading all of the reviews on this dealership before making a purchase. They really are shysters. P.S. One star is generous. Too bad there is a no stars rating. read more

Worst Experience of a Lifetime! I've had issues in the past with this service department, and the only reason I brought my vehicle back to Bob Lanphere's Newberg JRCD is because I was told I had to due to a clause in my extended warranty. I don't even know why they call it a "service department"; it should be the anti-service department. They worked harder at finding ways to not service my vehicle as it took over 2 months to get a simple repair completed. I initially took my vehicle in for a required 2-day diagnosis, even though the issue was obvious and could be identified in minutes. I was promised an update by end of business on day 1, which I never got. I was without the truck for 4 days over the weekend. I called on Monday after the weekend and was told that the repair would be over $1,000. They hadn't even looked at the extended warranty coverage, even after I left them with a copy of the contract. There was a compete disconnect as the service advisor I spoke with was unaware there was an extended warranty. I arranged to pick up the vehicle that afternoon with the reassurance that they would process the claim through the extended warranty provider and call me when the part was available. I was told it would be about 2 weeks to get the part, but may take slightly longer due to labor strikes. Additionally, when I picked up my vehicle I noticed that it had not even been moved from the parking spot where I left it. It was left unlocked, and smelled like cigarette smoke inside. After not getting any updates for 3 weeks I tried calling. It took 4 days of repeated calling before I finally got a call back from the service manager. I was told my warranty claim was denied, but he could not tell me why. He hadn't even bothered to find out and tried to push that burden off on me. After some investigation on my part it turns out they NEVER FILED A WARRANTY CLAIM! As a result, I had to bring the truck in a second time so the manager could look at it. I never got an apology or an explanation. The only thing the manager could tell me was that the service advisor assigned to my vehicle no longer worked for the dealership and that he couldn't do anything about what happened in the past. The service manager assured me that the claim was submitted and the part was on order. Once again I didn't hear anything from the dealership for another 3 weeks so I had to call to see if the part was in yet. It took 2 days to get a return phone call and surprise surprise the part was in and they were ready to schedule the repair. (Who knows how long the part had been waiting before I had to call and check.) As a customer there's nothing more frustrating than a lack of communication and not being able to get a hold of a service advisor. I've never had anyone at the dealership actually answer the phone. Every time you're routed to a call center that services all the Lanphere dealerships. More than half the time the call center won't even answer and your forced to just leave a message. I even tried reaching out to the GM via the link on the website, no response! I will never bring my vehicle back to Bob Lanphere's Newberg JRCD, and would advise anyone to avoid this dealership. I have no trust in their service staff and the complete and utter lack of customer service is atrocious. read more

Long story short, I got a quote directly off of their website that they refused to honor. They said that they didn't even know how I got that number. I showed them exactly how I did it from my phone on their showroom floor. They flat out said that it was a glitch and refused to honor it even though I produced proof of the quote twice. After reading reviews online, I was under the impression that this dealer offers a 5 or 7 day return policy (which many dealers do currently). When I test drove the car, it had an issue that they insisted was just because of the heatwave and would clear up on its own. Well, surprise, surprise, it didn't. I tried calling and emailing to confirm whether they have a return policy, but I couldn't get any answers, so I made the long drive back to the dealership and told them I didn't want the car anymore. They told me there was nothing they could do. Now, I was unable to find any proof that they advertised a return policy - which is why I am just writing a bad review instead of suing them. Since I couldn't come up with the evidence, I want to be clear that I am NOT accusing them of breaking the law. Having said that, their customer service gets an F minus. read more

I dealt with mike the sales rep and mike the manager and BOTH of them are crooks and lie right to your face. They had advertised 5 day back money guaranteed on there vehicle that were put signs and website. When i went to return the car they wouldnt. After I made a complaint about them ALL signs came down. Super nice guy, easy to talk and relate to. Showed me the ins and outs of my new car and I was very impressed and happy. Everything was perfect, finance guy was great too, he didn't try to sell me anything additional but was required to go through the extended warranty stuff, which I declined and he didn't say another word of it. One of the best service departments in our area. After driving my RAM 1500 for 175K miles I finally decided to do some professional maintenance work. This included transmission service, air exhaust repair, water pump replacement, FOB programming, and serpentine belt replacement. Now, I live in Ridgefield, WA and heard about this place from a client of mine. I must have driven past 4 certified RAM repair shops to get here which is a 90-minute drive and was not disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. We found some additional issues with the vehicle and Ed sourced parts in a timely manner. The place is a bit on the expensive side but its definitely worth it. Thanks to the great CS by the entire service team, Lanphere's Newberg Jeep and RAM have earned a customer for life! read more

My husband called about a dark grey Chrysler van. We were very serious and the sales person had the vehicle on the website. He agreed to a soft credit inquiry, which he was told it was a soft pull by the person on the phone. It was not a soft pull, but a hard pull. Then he went to get the vehicle ready and it had already been sold. Totally unprofessional! It took me a month to find out it was a hard pull thanks to Credit Karma! Inexperienced sales associates and worthless. My poor husband was foolish for giving this information first, but shame on the person who ran all of his information when the car wasn't even there. read more

Ok, so let me start by saying that 1 star seems like too much for them! We had been taking our truck to the Newberg Dodge repair shop for years. All the while taking their word for it that this or that repair needed to be done. Our most recent and LAST experience came about because our truck wasn't quite running well, but we weren't sure what was wrong. Dodge replaced the spark plugs, and then wanted to do another 4 hours of diagnostics (quoted at another $400) because the spark plugs didn't seem to solve the problem. Something wasn't right, so we pulled the truck and took it to another repair shop. Turns out they had put the wrong spark plugs which had caused a whole lot of damage. After fighting them tooth and nail on it, they ended up fixing it for free, which I would expect at the least after they made such and expensive mistake. At that point we decided never to go back to them. Now fast forward a few months. We took the truck in to JC Motors in Tualatin (the new place we go to) and told them that we wanted to take care of a leak. Newberg Dodge had checked into it a while back and said that it was a hole in the radiator and would be $600 to repair. JC Motors let me know that it was just a loose hose. If you would like to be over charged and taken advantage of go to Newberg Dodge. We have never bought a car from them, but after the experience with their repair shop, we NEVER will! read more

I stopped by the dealership a couple weeks ago and worked with Kyle, he was great. I went back in tonight and was ready to close the deal when the GM came out of the back to tell me that I was unprofessional. I had negotiated a deal but after we agreed on a price I asked what the would give me for my trade? The offer was embarrassing and I got mad and was ready to leave, that is when I was told I was unprofessional. I have been in sales for 33 years and rule one is that the customer is always right. I guess he forgot that and thought it was a better idea to tell me what a bad business man I was to not complete the deal after I had received the offer on my car. Bottom line is that I will never do business at this dealership and hope that you don't either. read more

LIARS, WONT BACK UP WARRANTY SOLD. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. Sold me the sealant and assured me if there were any issues with the paint that it would be covered and fixed. When I called a year later to tell them about the problem with my paint peeling off they tried to tell me that the sealant is supposed to be applied once a year in order for the warranty to be valid, then he also stated that its Ford's fault not the sealants fault the paint is pealing. Jeremy is a A**HOLE as are all the other staff here. Once they sell you a car they could care less about taking care of you after that. Avoid Dealerships in general. You are better off buying a car off of Craigslist than from a dealership. You get the same amount of problems with your car. The only difference is that when you buy from a dealership you get hosed on the financing and you get your car vacuumed before you get it. Whoop dee doo! read more

This was the worse experience of my car life. I'm single work two jobs. The last few years trying to recover being sick from cancer and needed a car and was trying to rebuild my credit. So a credit place sent me to this dealer, seemed very helpful until I bought the car. 2009 Range Rover . Had one week and had nothing but mechanical problems. Now two weeks and I have a 5,0000 dollar repair and they do not want to exchange or make it right. 38,000 plus interest in debt now and feeling frustrated. Worse dealership ever. Nathan the sales guy hides behind the scenes. Nobody wants to take responsibility for this sale. So now legal assistant is my only recourse. Oh and they never inspected the car because brakes both were bad. It's cost me 800.00 out of pocket just for minor repair. 5,0000 more before vehicle is even good to go. Misleading, crooked, deceptive...... A friend Purchased a VW BUG and took it home and found that it had numerous serious problems (bent axel..etc) that had not been pointed out. She took the car back within 24 hours. The salesman Michael Song, and The sales manager Tim Graves absolutely refused to help her with her concerns. She asked if she could just have her car back that she had traded in (it was still sitting where she left it) and they would not consider it. She later found out that they had a policy that allowed for a five day test for used cars. If you returned the car within 5 days and had not driven over 300 miles, they would take the car back..... Since the purchase of the truck communication with Newberg has been vague, limited, and indifferent towards my requests for information regarding the shipment of these parts. Yesterday, I dropped by the service department to see if they could provide bulbs and/or service to my Fiat as they are right around the corner from my house. I walked in and Elly was extremely nice and helpful. She is the only reason I give this place any stars at all. The service manager, Kevin Ames, chimed in with an abrupt "no" while he was on the phone and overhearing my conversation with Elly. I found this to be extremely unprofessional. I said that I was under the impression that Dodge et al now owned Fiat, and that's the only reason I was asking. Kevin responded that "we aren't a Fiat dealer, so we have no equipment to be able to service Fiats. I might be able to help you with some bulbs, but we'll need to check with our parts center." Elly called Parts and confirmed that they do not have stock for Fiats. Kevin, unfortunately, I found to be extremely rude and defensive. He also could have suggested a place nearby that would be able to help me. He was more defensive and concerned about informing me about why they don't service Fiats than understanding and helpful. While there are no Fiat signs outdoors, there are Fiat signs inside the service department. If you don't service Fiats, you should make your advertising more clear, and cover up all the Fiat symbols in your office. At the very least, Kevin should have apologized to me. I returned today to discuss the matter and Kevin was out of the office. Elly, however, actually listened to my concerns about yesterday and apologized and offered to convey the message to Kevin. I hope he mans up and realizes how unprofessionally he behaved. I do not recommend this shop based on the terrible customer service experience I had (and I work in customer service). read more

We traveled to the dealership, from 45 min. away, to look at/purchase a truck that had been advertised on their web page as a new, top of the line model. We had also communicated with dealer personal; regarding the truck several times during the previous week. Upon arrival, we found that the truck in question was not in new condition. It had 10k miles on it, was being used by a dealership employee as personal transport, the interior was covered in in child debris, the headliner was stained, the tires were worn out, and the truck did not track/stop straight. It also had turned out the dealership employees had lied about equipment, options, and pricing on the vehicle before and after arrival. We flat out refused to purchase the truck, but we were held at the dealership while being pressured by various employees, who had falsely misplaced the keys to my trade-in vehicle. We will never do business with this dealership. read more

My first time here and I was waiting for an oil change in the showroom. As I sit there I can clearly hear a worker talking to another coworker about a restaurant that he was unhappy with the service. As he is telling his story he drops the " F word" about 5 times. I'm glad my 4 1/2 year old daughter wasn't here to hear this. Wow I was very surprised to read all the bad comments this place has. I guess everyone has their own unique experience ours was great we first worked with "coach" he was very nice but not very knowledgeable about the car we were buying I think this place could be better if they had more upbeat people. The only thing I didn't like was how loud they were in the office playing their music super loud and cursing a few times also please when people say we need a few minutes give them time to talk things over I know you guys wanna get your sales done and probably not give people a chance to change their mind. First I would like to thank are salesman Mr White he was very knowledgeable about the Durango we wanted . I would also like to thank Mr Eubanks the General Manager.   We had a car accident on the 12 of July it was a total loss the family is OK bumps and bruises. We need a vehicle to fit are needs. The sales staff catered to our every need and at a payment we could afford. Mr White and Mr Eubanks and staff searched high and low and found our Durango. The color and options we wanted. It took them a few days to bring the Durango from out of state.  We must of look heart broken because it was not going to be available that day the 24 of July. Mr Eubanks asked us what is the problem we said we have to return are rental car back on Saturday the 25. He turned to Mr White and said get them a car to drive till they pick up there Durango which is coming on the 28th. We got a new car not a back lot car a Nissan maxima fully loaded for the week and a full tank of gas!!! The day came the 28 July the Durango was everything we wanted and more. To summarize we  where very happy.      I would also like to shout out to all my Marine corps brothers and fellow Veterans to come and buy a car, truck and SUV and if they don't have it on the lot they can get it. Just ask for Mr Nathan White are sale's man and say Ricardo Sandoval sent you in. If I could zero stars I would.. My husband took his truck in for a water leak. It sat on the lot for multiple days before they could even get to it. They don't communicate and keep you up to date. We had to call ourselves for every update. They ended up replacing a few parts they thought were causing the leak. We spent 700 bucks. Brought the truck back home and it kept leaking. Took it back and they put a faulty break light in and didn't seal it properly. We didn't pay anything extra because they didn't fix the problem in the first place. Bought the truck back home and it's leaking WORSE then when we dropped it off the first time.. We spoke with Jay and then his manager. We asked for a refund of some sort or way they could pay for additional work if we took the took to Hillsboro Dodge. The manager said he would get back to us and never did. DO NOT GO HERE. WE ARE OUT 700 bucks and now a worse leak. Shady company! read more
