We stopped by for lunch. Needed something quick and light. This was definitely the place. Service was great and food was good.

It's a chain eatery so I didn't expect a lot from them but I was pleasantly surprised because the cashier and manager were very helpful with us making orders of food we would love so it worked out well. The place and ambiance was as expected from a chain sandwich shop. We ordered a Newk's Q sandwich, a bowl of Loaded Potato, and a bowl of Tomato Basil The food was great. read more

This place was a total surprise to us! Didn't think it would have as big a menu as it did. Me & the hubs want to come back and explore the menu further. It's sort of like a Jason's deli but more Italian-y with pasta, pizza, and sandwiches. Great food for a great price. Super casual, service was good, and definitely worth a visit. read more

My first visit here I heard good things about it . So I went on my lunch break and let me tell you the atmosphere was amazing . I've felt right at home and the manager is incredibly amazing with his bubbly attitude. The food was so perfectly made with passion and so delicious love the pasta too and the other places aren't giving their best. I know I can count on this place for some amazingly delicious dishes . Why did you change the bread on the sandwiches? I've been a long time Newks fan. It's a great spot. The food has always been solid. I just got my go to sandwich, Pesto Chicken Sandwich, and the bread is different than it normally is. I'm hoping this is not a permanent change and is due to a supply issue or something, but if this is the go forward bread I need to find a different sandwich place. In the Thai chicken soup, you can taste a flat, distilled watery taste which made it unappetizing. There wasn't much of a "Thai" taste to it, either. The tomato soup on the other hand was creamy, sweetened, and has a nice blend of fresh diced tomatoes in the 16oz bowl. Also, it was served warm with a decent portion for a good brunch meal. The "grilled steak sandwich" should be called the roast beef sandwich as it didn't have any form of steak in it. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious. If I could give ZERO stars on this review I would! I don't appreciate them adding more to my tip amount!!!! I consider that stealing! When I checked out, I ran my card and she said it didn't go through so I apologized and re- ran the card without looking at the little screen again on the card reader box. A few days later, going through my receipts... I notice there is a percentage tip added which is an odd amount. I don't EVER tip an uneven number! I suppose that's why my card didn't go through the first time as she was changing the amount!!! read more

I can't decide what is worse. Newk's or Nukes. I'm only partly joking. I understand there is a lot of hype about this chain, but firstly, it is just a chain, and secondly, half the things on the menu are not as healthy as you would believe - sort of like Subway... and thirdly people are way too excited about this. My girl practically dragged me here, and would you say know to that girl? I never do. I don't know why people love sending their money out of state so much. It's probably 3 star quality, all things considered, but what I really consider is that it's a corporate chain and the money is not staying local so for that reason I lower it to a two. I've been eating here for years but after today I don't know that I will come back. My mom picked me up a sandwich and got home to see that there was hardly any meat and no cheese on the sandwich. She called and brought the sandwich back and they gave us a new one free of charge & loaded it up. I love this place for some fresh salads! I had the red black and bleu salad, something like that its a feature during the spring or summer, it needs to be year round! I get it with grilled chickenn! Very refreshing salads, it has like blueberries and strawberries and watermelon gorgonzola cheese, some walnuts, etc! i added banana peppers and its quite delish! I subbed out dressing for a vinaigrette instead the raspberry vinaigrette. for the most part i've tried bits of dishes, due to we ordered out for lunch at work. All the Soups are bomb! you can tell its all house made, and also all the vinaigrettes are house made! can't go wrong with house made things. I usually don't write reviews on visits that I redeem birthday coupons, but the exception is giving a patron food that is inedible -twice! Per usual during my birthday month, I hit up spots that give me birthday perks. Newks delivered a nice free birthday entree with purchase of a drink. I was in the area, so decided to cash in. Friday evening was a little packed, but there wasn't a long wait to order. I perused the menu and even though I had pizza a few days ago, I decided to partake of it again (The aroma was calling me)! I inquired about my coupon with the cashier before placing my order and its was accepted from my phone. All was well until the food was delivered to my table. The pizza was incredibly large (about 7 to 8. inches easily). Just seeing it I knew I would be taking at least half of it home. The salad was also pretty massive as well as it protruded upwards from its bowl, but upon dumping my salad in my takeout tray, I noticed something on the lettuce. This simple salad was simply old! Green, slimy pieces hung like lint on lettuce pieces. One piece okay...two was a wonder, but three, four and five pieces of the slimy substances on the lettuce was just too much to overlook. I called for the crewmember who had just placed an order on another table and was headed back into the kitchen. I shared my concern and he took the salad to the back to replace it. About five minutes later, the crew member brought a bigger container in which he explained was to curtail my disatisfaction for the first salad. I was a little skeptical, but I took it. Soon as I opened the container, I could clearly see the lettuce was bad. If I was a paying customer, I would have said something, but since I wasn't ( only paid for a drink), I decided to just improvise and make a huge salad at home with the other salad I had waiting for me. Unfortunately there was more than lettuce that needed to be thrown away. The cucumbers were clearly old too! I decided to wash everything. just for safe measure, but in the first place, why give me a bad salad--twice? I'll be honest, my review of Newk's is bias since I grew up coming here in high school. You get way more bang for your buck here than you would at a Panera. I always go for the chicken salad sandwich half and tomato basil half soup. Great combo (soup/salad with sandwich). I would honestly eat here more if the tomato soup was a staple, its thick and delicious.. Be sure to check the daily soup menu, as it does change. I also appreciate they try new soups beside just tomato, chicken noodle and broccoli cheese. During the fall time they get some pumpkin and butternut ones! Also their fountain drink cups are HUGE. Take it home, drink 3 of those bad boys filled with water and you will be sooo hydrated. read more

We ordered our food online and we were there in 10 minutes ready to pick it up on time. We do not go inside restaurants, so we parked and called for curbside and the girl said she would bring it out in just a minute, they were working on it. We saw an order placed on the counter within a minute, but we assumed it was for other customers. Then we saw another order put on the counter. After 8-10 minutes, I called again and she said she'd check on the order. She grabbed the first package that had been sitting on the counter, it was a hot sandwich, and we still had 15 minutes to drive home. Needless to say, it definitely was not hot or even warm when we got home. The worst part of this is, the restaurant had no customers and six employees. One even looked at us snd sat down to take a break. Our food was just sitting on the counter and nobody even questioned on whose it was when there's a car outside with his headlights facing their restaurant parked in the curbside pickup parking space. The soup was delicious but notice how my sandwich looks nothing like the picture! Why did I pay $9.29 for a child's size piece of bread with hardly any meat/toppings/condiments? We came on a Thursday night right before Christmas. Our first choice for dining was packed, our second and third choices were packed as well. With two little ones, waiting for a table is a no go. We noticed Newk's wasn't too busy so we came here. I got a 1/2 sandwich and baked potato soup. It took awhile for the food to come out but the guy bringing out the food was very polite. It was just ok. Nothing exciting about the sandwich and the soup wasn't my favorite. The restaurant was pretty messy. There was a table in the corner that was never bussed and food on the floor. Newk's offers high quality sandwiches and salads that are worth a repeat visit. Most recently I had the double club which is a regular club sandwich stacked with twice as much meat. It was served hot and delicious. My wife had the Greek salad with seasoned shrimp and mentioned how delicious it was. I will pass on the desserts going forward. The strawberry cake wasn't very flavorful and the caramel cake was bone dry and stale. I think the caramel cake would be really good if you could be sure you got a fresh slice. read more

I have always enjoyed Newk's at every location, not because of their sweet, hospitable staff, but how accommodating they are if I ask for any substitution or ask for a question. If they unsure about what I'm asking for, a manager approaches and is always friendly to meet our order. I absolutely love Newk's, but most importantly, their food is fresh, tasty, and made to order. What a great organization they run! I use the Cypress, Texas add my main store and get delivery from there often. Have nothing but praise for a wonderful, professional food establishment with great options for any diet. By the way, my last order was the Newk's Q pizza and I'm in love!! I want so badly to like this place. Cypress has such little to offer in the way of healthy restaurants. Unfortunately, both of our experiences have been similar and not good. We tried this place about a year ago and I couldn't remember why exactly we weren't fond of it, so we tried again last night. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp and avocado salad and as soon as it arrived, I remembered. I ordered this same salad last time we came, and both times, the shrimp was raw! It was opaque and barely cooked. No pink or white, as cooked shrimp should be. I took both salads back and requested new ones with "well done" shrimp. They did make us 2 fresh ones, and I heard the line cooks saying "but the shrimp on this salad is boiled". Boiled still means cooked. These were definitely not cooked. They had to run the shrimp through the oven just to cook them through. My husband added "beef" as well, thinking like skirt steak, but the salad chef pulled out a prepackaged plastic bag of thin sliced roast beef, cold. My 4 year old had the pepperoni pizza, thin crust. It was tasty, but we had to order a second one, because he was still hungry. This place and menu has potential, but failing to hit their goal. Please ensure your culinary staff is coached on proper and safe cooking temperatures. Someone could become very ill consuming raw meat or seafood. read more

I didn't know they were a chain, otherwise I probably wouldn't have came- but it was still good and worth the price. I got a cup of the tomato basil soup. The "soups of the day" changes everyday, but luckily I came in on and Saturday, and tomato basil which is one of my favorites were on the menu It was good! Interesting. It had a dollop of goat cheese which totally changed the flavor but not in a bad way. It had chunks of tomato and I added roasted garlic and pepper to it from the salad bar. Those touches made it amazing. I also had the Newks Favorite salad. It was good! Huge!! On the sweeter side- with the grapes. Had artichoke in it which I felt like was a huge plus.
