I came here with my sister because she wanted to get lunch and suggested we Newk's. She'd previously been here before but it was my first time. I decided to get the pick two option. Where you can mix and match sandwiches, mac n cheese, soup and salads. I believe you can pick any sandwich, however the employee informed me there are only 2 types of salads you can get with the pick two option. I ended up ordering the half portion of the pimento cheese sandwich and a Caesar salad for my pick two. After ordering you can sit anywhere you like and then they bring the food out to you once it's ready. I personally loved the place. The sandwich and the salad were both delicious, and my sister loves the turkey and avocado sandwich, she said she orders that ever time she's there. The place was clean and the workers were friendly. And although I only tried the sandwich and salad they were both good enough that I look forward to going back again soon to try some other dishes as well. read more

I ventured out today for lunch to use my birthday coupon. Thanks Newk's for a tasty lunch. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich it came with pesto, roasted peppers and goat cheese. I added lettuce and mayo. The sandwich was lightly toasted and warm even when I got back the office. I think the goat cheese & the pesto were the stars of the sandwich. They rarely get your order right. A watermelon and feta salad without watermelon or feta is just a cucumber salad. If you ask for tossed in dressing, then don't give it to me on the side. Did a grub hub order. Order was supposed to be ready at 5:58 pm. Around 5:58, it said order would be ready at 6:24. I arrived around 6pm. The cashier is not wearing her mask and is picking her nose in front of everyone. The place is mad chaos as I wait. No one is eating. I have been asked twice what my order is and it is 6:23. My husband is a huge fan of Newk's and always orders the pizza when he dines here. I've had the sandwiches and sides and up until today had not been pleased with any of the food. I decided to order to go through grub hub online. Once the app said my order was ready I went inside and waited for about 10 minutes before anyone walked over to the front to assist me. There were several workers who saw me standing there but it took 10 minutes. Once one of the employees acknowledged me I informed him I was picking up a grubhub order. He then told me I was in the wrong area and that they put the grubhub orders on the other side of the restaurant as if it was obvious. The orders were sitting on a rack unmanned and he asked my name and picked mine out for me. At this point my Margarita Pizza had been sitting for at least 15 mins, it was warm not hot. I must say in spite of the crappy service it was the best Margarita Pizza I have ever had. I also ordered a slice of strawberry cake which was ok but way too much frosting for my taste buds. Every Newk's location I have been to had great service with the exception of this one. Maybe they were understaffed that day.Since I live in the area and now know how delicious their Margarita pizza is, I will probably be back. read more

this place has got some good sandwiches that are very fresh and the bread there is so freaking good. The place is very clean and set up nice. I like the fact you can watch the people in the kitchen prepare the food. I'm weird like that making sure people change gloves routinely and are wearing hats and hair nets. I have never left a negative review on a business, but sadly this will be my first. We have been a regular for 2 1/2 years almost 3 years at this location. Over the years, we have loved the food, and the staff have been incredibly gracious and kind. We have had several incidents, where we had asked for 'no tomatoes', 'no onions', etc and have had to have it sent back because it either ended up being on the order or something that was supposed to be on it was missing. My family and I have a long history of being in different customer service positions, so we understand things happen. No complaints there, we understand. But we do expect for it to be made right, if we paid for it. We're not looking for a free meal... just for it to be made right. And we have always asked without being a jerk about it. Yesterday, something didn't quite look right with my husband's pizza, and the chicken salad was swimming in mayo. Again, not something we are going to get upset about, but we did bring it to their attention. Our server accused us of eating half our food and then complaining. (which was not true... and we're not about to start doing that either) When we call the store after leaving to get in touch with a manager about our experience, come to find out our server was the manager. Who was incredibly rude, and when we calmly let them know that we would no longer be eating there, the response was, "Good, that's fine!" I like this lunch spot. I always get the pesto chicken sandwich. It's a hot sandwich, with yummy goat cheese and pesto, on a multigrain roll. My bf gets the salmon caesar, which he loves. The breadsticks are a great touch, and the bathrooms are nice. The staff is always friendly and they keep the restaurant clean. I wish they'd use paper straws, but I commend them for the reusable cups. read more

First time here. I had tried to come here for lunch before but the line out the door kept scaring me away. Now I see why the line is out the door all the time, you order at the door and there is not much room there. But once you order the you go sit down We all ended up getting pizzas. I had the Newk's Q pizza and it was really good. I love the way they slice the chicken thin. Much better than thick strips on a pizza. My party also tried the 5 cheese and the margherita pizza. Why does your restaurant smell like sweaty armpits that have never used deodorant???????????????????????? I had to sit outside because the smell was so bad. Omgosh! I stopped here for dinner with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised on how delicious it was. I had a turkey avocado half sandwich with pimento cheese added, and a loaded potato soup. My husband had the chicken salad half sandwich, and Caesar salad. Both pairings were delicious! We also had a sausage and pepperoni pizza and dog-on-it if that wasn't delicious too! Go Newk's! They didn't have my pickup order at the time they said it was going to be ready. So I waited and then 3 different people told me it was the one that was in the pick up spot and they can confirm that it wasn't. Then after they forgot an item the staff member made a face like she was giving me attitude. Other staff member was speaking extremely low. We have masks so it's hard to hear I told him to speak up. Love this place! I was so excited to see one opening up that was close to me. I've only had the toasted sandwiches so far but they are worth it. Trying to work my way up to the pizza's which look amazing but it's hard to move on from the sandwiches. The Toasted Chicken Pesto as well as the Toasted Roast Beef are my favorites so far. The Loaded Potato soup is also pretty awesome. They will be seeing more of me in the future for sure! read more

First time & It reminds me of Panera but just fancier, the inside is nice and roomy, you order your food and they bring it to you, there is what they call a 'round table' which you can chose condiments from. The menu has more of a variety then Panera with more organics, and homemade dressings. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza and even homemade desserts to choose from. The staff was very friendly and energetic. However, Where my low rating comes from is: from first sight the salad looked amazing, nice big portion, put together very nice but then once I got into the salad..it was supposed to have grilled chicken but it was more like the cold Tyson chicken strips you get in a bag, the other meats were basically thick cut luncheon meat, nothing fresh about it - And then moving onto the lettuce - I can understand a few bad pieces of lettuce but when I have a pile of it - that's not a good salad. The freshest thing about my salad was the homemade croutons and the homemade dressing, Needless to say, I wasn't happy with my salad and only picked & ate the appetizing things such as the croutons and some good lettuce pieces with their dressing. It was a first time so I will give them another try just order something different like a pizza or a sandwich that I expect to have lunch meat quality meats on. I visited Newk's in Kennesaw for the first time two weeks ago. The cashier was friendly and she took the time to explain how their menu worked. She recommended trying soup with a half sandwich. I tried the baked potato soup, and it was great. The soup was served hot, and I was given a generous portion. I ordered the Italian sandwich. It was served warm with plenty of meat, cheese and a savory Italian dressing. My only complaint was the speed of service. Very disappointed in this Newks! I use to love the Black and Blue salad at this Newks but today it was subpar at best. The salad was old and the blue cheese dressing.... yuck!!!! I don't know what kind of dressing it was but it definitely was not blue cheese... just awful. Could NOT taste ANY blue cheese in the dressing. Usually the blue cheese dressing is great. This time it looked and tasted like it has been sitting for awhile. I use to like Newks for its fresh ingredients but the salad was terrible. I should not see any browned salad pieces in the salad which I did and they put the dressing containers in with the salad....yuck!!!!!!! Totally disgusted by the disgusting salad. I'm done with this Newks. I will stay home, save my $15 and make my own damn salad. read more

My wife and I ate inside the restaurant last weekend and the staff could care less about sanitizing the tables after someone has eaten and left. I watched 2 tables eat and leave and the staff came over and removed the trash from the table. Didn't wipe the table or the chairs down or anything. In the times we are in now, that needs to happen. I've been here twice before, each time being satisfactory. I love how spacious it is and the amount of seating available. What's interesting is that there at two different sides of the place, one for to-go orders and another for sit-ins. Efficient for when you don't want to wait. The staff is great. They take the time to make sure you are good and will have a friendly conversation with you. I love that communal feel. :) As for the food, it's good! It's not like amazingly unique, but great for a salad and sandwich when you need one. I haven't tried everything yet, but I'll be sure to update my review when I do! read more

Absolutely disgusting! I have to admit, this was my first time here and I heard great things. I heard the food was very fresh and the quality of food they use was top notch as well. I ordered a salad and after eating about half of it, I noticed something was moving. It was some sort of insect with 2 antennas. Disgusting! Called over one of the employees in,a dark green polo shirt and showed him. He said he was sorry and took the bowl off the table and that was it. About 5 minutes later, a different gentleman in a blue polo shirt came over. He asked me if I wanted a credit put on a gift card or a refund. Clearly I wanted a refund. He didn't express any empathy towards the situation. A few minutes later, he comes back over and tells me the total of my salad was $9.85 but I could keep the change. He placed a $10 on the table. That was it. Nothing else was said. My friends I was with, one of them didn't want to finish his meal as he was disgusted by what he saw in my salad. My other friend and already finished eating. Bottom line: live Insect in my salad with absolutely no empathy for the situation. To anyone reading this, we all work hard for our money. Dining out is a great. I understand things happen but when you refuse to acknowledge something like this, I can't see how anyone would want to patron this place. read more

I visited the location today (1/14/2021) at 6:04pm. I was waited on by a young female with dark hair. I was being indecisive she was very patient. I was trying to eat semi healthy, so I asked a few questions. I told her I wanted pizza but can't have it, she laughed and said they can make it with cauliflower crust. I don't eat at Newks very often so I wasn't aware of this, but I was happy she informed me. Great customer service and kudos to her. I ordered my pizza and salad, it was great. Thanks! I forgot to mention my total was $16 and some change, I only had $16 ( she watched me count it).
