I normally do not write reviews. I have visited this location many times but the afternoon of 4.27 I was very disappointed. Not only was I not greeted as others were when I was finished and paid the person she snatched the receipt with no thank you - come back or anything. I normally ask for Rain or Deena (not sure of the spelling) because they are very good and friendly. If you go ask for one of them. I probably will not go back. There were not a lot of people at the location so being busy is not an excuse. The 2 stars are for prior service. read more

I have been to this salon for 3 times and I had different people working on me. They all have their own styles and overall result was superb. I always do clean up for my eyebrows and never had bad experience here unlike in some other places. Their neighbor seem to have good food which I have to try for next time :-) They also have digital punch in system which will give you free eyebrow threading after 6 visits. I was in need of my my usual eyebrow/upper lip threading and decided to try this place out. I was really lucky to walk in and immediately be seated. I don't remember who worked on me but was overhearing that she was the same person who used to thread in Cedar Hill. She worked very quickly and was able to clean up my eyebrows very nicely. Love her! Her friendliness, quality of service is sooooo good. I wish I could keep her with me! Most desi places you go to for waxing don't bother to clean the wax off with the appropriate product. Some places use baby oil which is horrible! I got whiteheads and abscesses on my back and legs because of that but newrain has the right products and also identifies and talks to you about your skin type so that she uses the right products. For example because of my face type, even the aloe vera gel after getting my eyebrows threaded makes it worse and she figured it out while she was threading and when I said i didn't want the aloe vera, she agreed and said she was going to tell me to avoid it too. She is honest, kind, gentle and gives you the service you came in for to your satisfaction. Other places I go to are in such a rush to see so many customers that they rush and cause more damage to the skin and also dont even remove all of the hair. When I go to newrain, I don't have to retouch or "correct" anything when I get home. Definitely give her a try! She works on her own out of a a salon with other independent ladies so the best thing is to give her a call before you go rather than walking in. But you can always try, if she doesn't have anyone she will definitely see you but if you walk in and shes dealing with a customer you may have made the trip for nothing or have to wait. I used to come here all the time but was often disappointed so I stopped comingfast forward a few years and I decided to give them another try and the lady who did them two weeks ago was great but today I was disappointed again (young blonde girl I've never seen before). I understand that they are professional but you really need to listen to what people want. I said keep them thick DO NOT Follow the micro blading. Which was done months ago and is fading and it's not the shape that I want my eyebrows anymore. She barely acknowledged what I said and went to work and did exactly what I asked her not to do. I don't care if that's what looks good to you or you think you did a good job, if it's not what the customer wants then none of that matters. LISTEN. It was my first time at this place, and first time getting anything threaded. I was told by coworkers to get my face threaded that it goes a long way and lasts longer than waxing your eyebrows and lips. I have always had long sideburns, more than the normal, so I decided to try out and get my entire face threaded. I was told it was super painful and it stings. At Newrain I felt no pain even though I was told since it was my first time it would be painful. She was amazing, and always asked if I needed a break. I have had trouble with excessive hair growth and have had to over pay each time I go to SOI or any other waxing salon. The very first time I went to Newrain, I was recommended by a friend and chose to go there because she spoke super nicely about Newrain and the attention she pays to all her clients. I tell you this lady is super NICE sweet and kind and is never in a rush to get you out. She will take her time. unlike the other places where wax is applied to larger areas and stripped off in one motion (trying to use little products and get you out quickly regardless of whether or not you hurt) She takes her time and removes small patches of hair at a time, especially for people like me with excessive hair growth, this lady is God-sent. She s genuinely sweet, thorough and makes you comfortable. I always go for a full body wax, and some how she gets everything clean and smooth in about 30mins, including brazilian wax! The deal gets even better when you get legs, brazilian, underarm all in one. My eyebrows have never looked better and if you decide to change your mind (shape your eyebrows differently, she will not hesitate. She definitely treats all her clients very kindly and is attentive. Trust me her prices definitely are way too cheap for the services you get. The place is clean, private and very well kept. I gave them 2 stars because they normally did a good job until my most recent thread. I asked them to not make them any thinner, just clean up around them and now my eyebrows are completely different shapes. It took me years to get the right shape for my eyebrow and now it will take me at least another year to get them back to that shape after how badly they screwed them up. I also have a burn from how hard she was pushing the thread against my eyelid. When she asked if they were okay I just said yes because they were to thin to even fix anything. I now have one arch that is EXTREMELY higher than the other and all I can do is wait for the hairs to grow back. I left there with thin eyebrows and a bleeding eyelid. I am most disappointed due to the fact that I asked her MULTIPLE times to keep them thick and don't thin them out at all and she did exactly what I asked her not to do. read more
