He assisted me in locating a water leak that was causing serious problems with our location. The Newton Water Authority needs to explain QUICKLY why a bill in Covington went from a standard $45.00/per mo for the last 6 yrs to a whopping $1,600.00 this month. Let me repeat $1,600.00!! All job postings at Newton County Water should read "Seeking only the rudest employees to ensure we provide no help to any paying customer EVER". Big shoutout to "Amanda" who is especially unhelpful and clearly hates her job. Our bill has been over $400 for three months now. We have NO evidence of a leak and they refuse to offer any sort of help or insight. We barely use our water so I'll be standing out at my meter for the next few days trying to catch these thieves as they are seriously just stealing from customers. Shame on you Newton Water - makes me wish I never moved to Covington to be quite frank. We have paid over $1000 in 3 months just to keep them from turning our water off. You think you can just treat people like this? We'll see after the BBB comes after you and you get hit with a lawsuit. read more

I applied for service Friday May 11, 2018 I was told that the water company does not do same day service and that I would have to wait until Monday before the service would be established. I contacted your office (2) twice Monday confirming and reconfirming that my water would be turned on at 380 Silver Willow Walk Covington Ga 30016. Monday came and went with no water so Tuesday I called your office 8 times speaking with 6 individuals and each time I was either transferred to someone else to assist me and still I found myself asking would the water be turned on and told 5 times that they would have someone to come out and cut the water on three times I was told that the job was already complete but if that was the case I would not have called 8 times. One person told me that the job was showing complete but asked me to go outside and check the meter to see if the lock was on the meter. That makes no sense because If you are looking at the screen and the job is saying that it was complete Why would you ask me to check the meter and then she went on to say if the lock was still on I could call the after hour emergency number for assistance. It was 2:47 pm why mention the after hours call that was ridiculous in my opinion. So again I still do not have any water after 5 days and a multitude of disappointment in the professionalism of your staff and company. You ask the question "How can you Help" If you can't cut the water on I guess you cant help anyone so why ask. RUDE!!!! Wish I could give them a negative ten stars! I called to ask how-to make my 1st payment with this company since moving to the area, after I was told to contact "official payments" ( their third party payment processing system), i was informed that they had nothing to do with the newton county website, i was redirected to call back, where i was hung up on more than half a dozen times, until one lady FINALLY stated that they were having their phones worked on and as i gave her my call back #, she said that it was some issue with the last tenants who lived here and that there were "special conditions" on the old account for our address. The lady proceeded to tell me that it was removed and so i should now be able to process a payment on their site, i tried to process a payment, it still didn't work. This compay SUCKS , i could help them out if they only knew how bad it was, since i am a web designer. I could build them a great payment processing site for a great price. And probably even help hire a better customer service staff while im at it!! Its a new year, get it together people or you can be voted OUT AND REPLACED!!
