I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. Astera will be getting first crack at all of my appliance and HVAC service calls going forward.

Bart is an expert at diagnosing issues and coming up with excellent repair ideas that avoid the need to buy a new furnace or AC. I have used other local HVAC companies in the past and many have sent out technicians that are either inexperienced or dishonest. I strongly recommend Assurance for regular annual maintenance, trouble shooting, repairs, and (when absolutely necessary) a new furnace and/or AC. The Assurance folks are honest, experienced and have very fair pricing.

A fair resolution was already bypassed when your company issued a $19,000 estimate to correct an airflow defect that should have been addressed during the initial installation. For the benefit of neighbors in the community researching system longevity, here is the verified chronological data regarding this equipment failure: 1 Installation History: This system was installed by Assurance approximately 6.5 years ago. It represents the second complete system purchased from this company since 2012, concluding over 20 years of continuous family account loyalty. 2 Premature Failure: The average operational lifespan of a properly configured residential condenser and coil is 15 to 20 years. This unit experienced a catastrophic mechanical failure at less than half of its expected service life. 3 Diagnostic Data: Independent diagnostic testing performed by ABT documented the system's total external static pressure (TESP) at 1.6 iwc. For context, standard residential HVAC equipment is designed to operate at or below 0.5 iwc. A reading of 1.6 indicates severe, chronic airflow restriction, which drastically accelerates component fatigue and compressor failure. 4 Root Cause: This elevated static pressure was caused by an undersized return air drop and uncorrected ductwork constraints at the point of installation. Update as of today 1/20 I spoke to Alex the manager of duct professor and that he supposed to get me a refund for the scams that his techs did back then but, never happened. He is upset about my reviews and won't refund me any money because I left bad review. It doesn't work this way Alex. I want more people to be aware the way that you and your techs provide services. I was a part of your scam but not let that happens for other people. Even if you tried to offer me to give you a 2nd chance for cleaning but I am not TRUSTING you at all. You should do the job correctly at the 1st time. I was lucky that I found out after I replaced my furance. Also, the three kids that you sent me to do the job let them be more professional when they get into people property by wearing the shoes cover to have some respect for the people that lives in the house.
