She is thorough and proactive with her healthcare approach. She also stays current on the healthcare industry to ensure you get the best care and most current protocols based on ethnicity where relevant. This sets her FAR apart from other physicians in the area. I would drive a million miles to see Dr. Supkay. Setting up appts, request of refills, insurance is all an ease due to the excellent attentional to detail & communication. They also have an amazing patient portal which makes communication with Dr Supkay & her nurse very easy. You can also make refill requests & get lab results from the portal. I absolutely LOVE that Dr Supkay does NOT keep your lab results hostage. As soon as CPL completes them, Dr Supkay allows us to see them. And she follows up to discuss of course. The convenience of CPL being located on site makes any follow up labs easy breezy. Highly recommend Dr Supkay as part of your medical care team!!! However, I believe my concern goes far beyond the policy itself. It is about fairness, empathy, and the overall patient experience. Patients are routinely expected to be understanding when physicians run behind schedule. On several occasions at this office, I have checked in on time only to wait anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours before being seen. Patients accept those delays because we recognize that emergencies happen and physicians sometimes fall behind. Why doesn't that same understanding extend to patients? On the morning of my appointment, I left home well in advance. I encountered severe thunderstorms, road closures, traffic diversions, and multiple accidents. After arriving at your parking lot, I spent more than 10 minutes driving around simply trying to find an available parking space. Had adequate parking been available, I would almost certainly have checked in within your stated grace period. Does the practice take situations such as severe weather, inadequate parking, and circumstances beyond a patient's control into consideration before cancelling an appointment that took six months to obtain? My greatest disappointment was not that I was asked to reschedule. It was the attitude of the front desk employee. There was no empathy, no willingness to listen, and no attempt to contact Dr. Zikusoka's clinical staff to determine whether I could still be accommodated. On previous visits, I have personally witnessed staff make those calls for other patients. Healthcare should be patient-centered from the moment a patient walks through the front door. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I continue to have the highest regard for Dr. Michelle Zikusoka. She is an outstanding cardiologist whose professionalism, compassion, and dedication are beyond question. My criticism remains directed solely at the front office staff and the way this situation was handled. I sincerely hope Austin Heart will consider applying the same patience, flexibility, and understanding to its patients that patients are expected to extend when the practice is running behind schedule.

Dr. Tran and her staff, Quinn and formerly Sylvia whom we will miss so much have not only taken care of our family medically but have carried us through some of the toughest personal times in our lives. When we enter that office Sylvia and Quinn ALWAYS greet us with a smile and ask us how our boys are doing (by name) and Dr. Tran always asks my husband and me about our family life and how our sons are doing even now that they are grown. I have to say, She is the most caring, considerate, intelligent and direct to the point . She spends a lot of time with her patients and doesn't prescribe unnecessary medications. Her patients trusted her with her care. Dr. Tran is really big on including complimentary and alternative medicine into her medical practice, promotes healthy living style ( exercises, diet, and screens for diseases), which most physicians don't have the time for nowadays, but this is the best way to get keep people staying healthy. Her diagnoses are very appropriate and accurate . She always makes sure her chronically ill patients are up to date with important lab works and follow up with medications to ensure they don't cause any adverse affects. I feel that her patients are very well cared for and they're very fortunate to have her as their primary doctor. On top of the stress and uncertainty, this error cost us real money. Because of the delays and time pressure, I had to pay over $900 out of pocket for additional rounds of vaccinations at the same clinic just to stay on track. This situation could have been avoided with proper attention to detail. For a service that directly impacts legal status and timelines, I expected a much higher level of care and accuracy. Every month she gets same 2 medications, with doctor visit every 3 months, like clockwork. She is otherwise healthy with no medical concerns. However, every month without fail they screw up her prescriptions. Every single month! They usually only call in one, making it so she has to call multiple more times while at work to get it resolved. You can tell they really care about making the patient experience as easy and comfortable as possible. One thing I really liked was being able to check in right from my phone. The lobby was clean, organized, and everyone was spaced out appropriately. By the time they put my wristband on, I was already being called to the back talk about FAST! Once I got into the room, everything moved so smoothly. One person was asking me questions and taking my vitals while another was already getting my lab work done. There wasn't a lot of sitting around waiting. Then the doctor came in and examined me. He was super nice, professional, and actually took the time to check me out and explain things. He told me it would be about 10 minutes for my results, literally turned around, and came right back in with my diagnosis. I was like, "Well that was quick!" And I have to mention the little things that stood out to me. When I was leaving, they offered me a drink and a snack, and they even helped me sign up for their care program. Those small touches really made me feel taken care of. The entire facility was clean, the staff was friendly, and the process was quick and organized from beginning to end. The care team was different for each visit but everyone we came in contact with was friendly and engaging. We dealt with an ankle fracture on one visit and an arm injury on another. Both were handled with care and treated quickly. Our second visit was a walk-in and it became apparent that making an appt (even after walking in) was needed because we kept getting bumped as the appts were coming in. Note to the wise, make an appt, even if you're on your way in to do a walk-in or you will continue to lose your spot in line to the incoming appointments.
