I recently visited Next to Nowhere Creamery during the RI Food Fights best scoop RI competition. We had no problem finding a table to eat our ice cream. It was nighttime and very buggy (not their fault, just something to note.)

Nice little spot to cool off with a shake or a cone. Tried the pina colada shake. So good! Excellent service!

On a visit with family in RI my son took me to this wonderful ice cream stand for supper one evening when we couldn't decide what to eat. It was just like I remember one being when I lived here. Located in the small town of Exeter, the place was slamming with customers. I had a waffle cone with Maple Walnut and Coffee ice cream (my faves) that I just can't find in Florida. I was in heaven with every lick. I felt it was a bit pricey for ice cream, but what isn't these days. Can't wait to revisit next time I'm in RI!

This ice cream and novelty stand is window order/pick up only, but there is an outside seating area to enjoy your fares. I went with a small vanilla soft serve dipped in chocolate and it was delicious. It was much larger than expected for a small, and the vanilla ice cream tasted truly home made. The menu is insanely expansive, so don't worry if you're a bit overwhelmed. I wondered how they even manage to have so many options in such a small shop. Service was friendly and fast. Cost is a bit higher than I'm accustomed to (for reference, my cone was $5.50), but overall I enjoyed the experience!

Definitely mom and pop creamery. Like the name of the store says, it is in the middle of nowhere. Lol. The ice cream was delicious. The staff was young students that were very friendly and helpful. Got in a cone and rolled out. Ate it on the way home. Yummy! They also have seating outside so you can park and sit at a picnic table and enjoy your ice cream with friends and family.

Cool little place I had never been to until today. We got 2 ice creams for about $10 and then sat outside and enjoyed them in the shade. Lots of picnic tables to sit at just far enough from the road to be comfortable. The staff was friendly and quick! I don't know if they close for the winter but I'd say check this place out if you can! Shawn & I say A++

The smallest soft serve I've ever seen for $5.00-aye,aye,aye

$5.00 for the smallest cone of subpar soft serve I've ever had in my 41 years... The soft serve was below average in my opinion. They do serve hard Giffords ice cream. I normally don't get hard ice cream from places unless they make their own because you can get Giffords anywhere. I will definitely be driving past this place in the future.

Honestly some of the most brilliant flavors you'll ever see. The worker that helped me was very cheerful and made recommendations based on what I told them I liked. The best part was that I didn't even plan to go here, I was just driving by and the name stood out to me. After I got my cone it started to rain lightly and I felt like I was in a movie or something, such a zen moment being somewhere so beautiful and far from home.

    All the delicious flavors

How can you give a place with 24 soft serve flavors anything less than 5 stars??? It really is in the middle of nowhere next to a little diner. Straight out of a tv show. This is the place to be though! So many fantastic flavors, it took me a good 15 minutes to choose. The gals behind the counter were patient and sweet. I decided on a red velvet medium waffle cone and I would've thought it was an xlarge!! Sooo huge! I was more shocked when I saw the price. Two medium soft serve waffle cones for 8 bucks. That's honestly the cheapest ice cream I've ever seen. Anyone who complains about the price is crazy. They have some tables on the side of the shop to sit and hang out while enjoying your ice cream. If you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, go get some ice cream!

Ice cream is very good, however, the portions are minuscule. Two small ice creams in a cup, 1 scoop each, was close to $7-

My brother participated last year and remembered this place being his favorite because of the options they had and the serving size. As a result, I came in with high expectations. Right off the bat, I loved that there was plenty of parking, their outdoor seating set up was pleasant, and the colorfully decorated cow at the entrance inside was cute. The person working was very nice, could explain the flavors to us, and let us sample a couple before deciding. I ordered a scoop of cinnamon bun in a cup with a cone on top and my brother did the blueberry pie flavor. We sat outside to enjoy our ice cream and were very pleased. Flavor wise, both were amazing. The cinnamon bun had all the elements of a cinnamon bun - a hefty amount of cinnamon, a sweet frosting flavor in the base, and chunks of the roll throughout. The blueberry one had swirls of blueberry jam/syrup and traces of some blueberry pieces, but also some rolled oats. Both were true to the desserts they were trying to live up to.

Pull around towards the back and there you find Two Scoops. Plenty of parking here, and a few picnic tables out front with umbrellas. Inside was bright with pastels, an adorable blue cow greets you at the door. A few tables were along the side and the ice cream counter is right in front of you. The cafe offers more than ice cream, they do milkshakes, floats, parfaits and more. You can find something for everyone. The man behind the counter was friendly, and when I asked for HIS favorite, he pointed me to the waffle cone ice cream. A few moments later, I had my ice cream. After a brief photo shoot with the cow, I sat down to enjoy. It was delicious. the vanilla ice cream was smooth and creamy, the bits of waffle cone and chocolate providing a lovely texture and the cone was fresh and crunchy. A great ice cream cone and such a cute shop, too! Come to the plaza for an excellent grinder or pizza, stay for the awesome ice cream out back.

We were blown away! The staff was very welcoming and service was warm and friendly. The food was truly impressive. Presented well, tasted delicious, and made me want to come back and try other dishes on the menu. The chef came out and visited each table to ask how they liked their dinner, which was a nice touch.
