I stopped by here after work this week as part of the RI FOOD FIGHTS #bestscoopshopri event. I used…read moreto live around the corner, so it was nice to visit here again. The heatwave was doing its thing, but luckily there's a good amount of shade in front of the building as you wait to be served. There's a tiny parking lot to the right of the boldly painted building, but an even bigger one to the left. If you have a larger vehicle, I recommend parking in the left lot. Plenty of space for you there! The young woman at the counter was super peppy and was excited to scoop me her favorite, black raspberry Oreo, on special that week. I grabbed extra napkins because the humidity outside was already working against me. I walked over to the seating area on the side and got to work quickly before nature won. The black raspberry ice cream was cool and creamy, great raspberry flavor without tasting artificial as some do. The oreos adding some chocolatey richness to the experience. It felt indulgent and refreshing. I basically inhaled it so I wouldn't wear it but every bite was fantastic. Inside Scoop has been there for ages, and for good reason. Next time you're in North Kingstown, swing by and try it out for yourself!

It's summer and no better time for soft serve! But I'm picky! It has to be creamy deliciousness!…read more The inside scoop was EXACTLY that! We stopped on our way home from the beach. Plenty of parking (street and lot) and tons of people working - so lines were quick and efficient! And most importantly the soft serve was on point!

Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We shared the smoked pork nachos to start and wow... so flavorful. The side of cool ranch was such a delicious bonus. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips and honestly could not stop eating the fries. Perfectly salty with just the right amount of sriracha on top. So good. My friend ordered the chicken parm grinder which looked incredible and disappeared quickly. I was so full and enjoyed my delicious cocktail while my friend ordered the chocolate chip banana foster (with 2 spoons). I honestly could have drank the banana rum ice cream sauce. Thank you for a great meal and experience. I totally understand all the fabulous reviews now. I might just be back tomorrow.

Staff were friendly in the sense of giving service to ones neighbor, as it feels like the high end local spot. Food was definitely creative. Listed as "new American" but had a strong showing of Asian fusion. Food was good but can be considered salty for some. The smoked pork noodles was heavy and had a high level of spice in part of the dish, would recommend to mix it well to evenly distribute. The eclipse had a lot going on, with some ingredients getting lost in the shuffle, but did overall enjoy it.

I developed a fondness for cherry ice cream when I was in London, though I don't know that that's what they're known for exactly, but I'd sampled a few cherry flavors at other locations and wasn't impressed. HERE, though, they got it right. And with chunks of real cherries throughout, I was supremely content.

Parking is shared with the connecting stores, and we didn't have any issues finding a spot. There is a couple serving windows, but we decided to go inside since it was cold. We were the only patrons. The one scooper looked bored out of her mind as we looked at the flavors. I was excited to learn they serve Gifford's ice cream. I want to preface the review that I really wanted Campfire S'mores. It is my absolute favorite flavor from Gifford's. I could eat a whole tub at once. I scanned the freezer to find my beloved flavor and I was taken back. A few tubs are double stacked, with the new tub underneath a ripped open tub. My Campfire S'mores was in a very low ripped tub, looking wet, sad, and disappointing. I've never seen leftover ice cream look this wet. I was nervous and tried it, and my assumption was correct, a big NOPE. It was old and gross. Definitely not what this flavor should taste like. That was the moment where I didn't know if I could trust other flavors. I tried cotton candy, and it appeared okay. It looked and tasted as it should. I sampled I Scream For Cake... Seems fine, a little melted. When I asked to try one more, she said, "We're only allowed to give out three samples, sorry." Never at any ice cream shop have I been told about a sample limit, and definitely would have rather been told BEFORE I started sampling wet flavors. I was starting to lose all interest in this shop. I was afraid to get a cup of anything new, so I settled on I Scream For Cake. The boyfriend got Peanut Butter Pie. The awkward moment was when the scooper quickly placed his ice cream on the counter top and it fell over. She sighed loudly, threw it in the trash (I emphasis on threw), and started over. Oof. We ate our melted ice cream outside. The ice cream scoop was okay. The whole experience and interaction was not what I wanted. I hope they get colder freezers and toss the wet ice cream. Right now, I don't plan to return.
