I have gotten food from Nho Kitchen 3x now. The first time I ate at the restaurant and the next twice I have had someone deliver my food. The last time I had a family member pick up an order that I called in over the phone. The waiter who took my order was interrupted 2-3 times while taking the order which in the end wasn't correct. I phoned the restaurant a few days later to inform them that my order was incorrect and they pulled the receipt and told me that the things I said I asked for in my order weren't reflected on the receipt. I told them that I repeated my order several times but the waiter must have gotten it wrong due to the numerous interruptions. Long story short I ordered a coconut milk slush tea with boba but my tea didn't have boba in it. I also asked for mushrooms in my pho but my pho didn't have mushrooms. There isn't the first time that my order has been incorrect even when the person who took the order repeats it back correctly for some reason they don't order my food correctly. The resolution offered by an employee at Nho is one order of pho on the house next time I order. It appears that the only way to ensure that your order will be correct is to order in person because something gets lost on a phone in order. Hopefully this will be corrected in the future, and hopefully everyone who orders by phone will have a good experience from this day on. read more

To me, this is by far the best Vietnamese food in Fresno. Their banh canh and mi quang are so insanely good. Only negative is that theyre a little inconsistent with some things, the food seems to slightly differ with who's working. Great service and wonderful people, can't wait to return. read more

So disappointed in today's service. I ordered food over the phone at 1:30pm. Showed up, paid for my food and it took AN HOUR to get my food when my food was sitting on the counter the whole time as I was waiting. I kept asking the older lady at the front counter if it was ready yet and she kept telling me "Not yet, not yet". My sister and nephew ordered their food through menufy 15 mins before i called in my order and they waited the same time as I did, and got theirs after mines. We ordered an hour before everyone that came and got seated 30 mins AFTER we showed up for our food. Why are they getting their food first? The lady at the front wasn't even checking on the status of our order when we kept asking or she would've known my food was sitting at the counter. That long of a wait after we called in an hour ago? At this point we should've just been offered a refund. I am a regular here and I'm super disappointed. read more

Ok, so the Yelp reviews probably hyped it up too much for me. We came here because my dad lovesssss bun bo hue and we had previously tried it over at Huong Lan already. Wanted to see if this was any better. So my parents both ordered the bun bo hue, my brother ordered the chicken rice plate, and I ordered the seafood noodle soup. My soup was alright, but I happen to like the thicker rice noodles. Mine had the pho type noodles. Oh well. I took a sip of my dad's bun bo hue soup. It was actually not that bag. Of course, nothing compared to the SoCal, but I would venture to say, maybe a tiny bit more fragrant than Huong Lan's. My parents thought it was about the same tho so maybe not. Update after remodel. Everybody needs to try banh canh tom cua. I also tried dry style rice noodle for the first time and it not disappoint. Also impress with the Che taste from Bambu. Delish! I'm from Westminster and was in Fresno for a few weeks for work. I yelped Vietnamese food in Fresno and looked around for Vietnamese food that would match the food in the Westminster area. There was a bunch of pho places on yelp but nothing looked special. I found Nho Cafe and the posts on yelp looked authentic so I stopped by. I was really impressed with the MI Quang and I was never a fan of it before. I ate here a few times a week during my stay in Fresno. Service was ok. We got seated right away with menus. But we had to wait about what seems to be 15 minutes long until someone finally took our order, which is understandable since they were busy. Food on the other hand was not how I expected like what the reviews were saying. I got the bun bo hue vermicelli noodle soup and there was a lot of broth with very small amount of the vermicelli noodles. The broth was good, however there was no balance in the dish. Nho cafe is a Diamond jewel of Vietnamese food ...the extensive menu provides both vegetarian and traditional meat and seafood entrees ... the cost is reasonable and the servers are attentive to providing a pleasant dining experience... As they are preparing for s grand reopening of their expanded resturant the owner moved around the Resturant to greet & ask how his customers liked their meal/dining experience .... The vegetables/herbs were fresh & flavorful (Which has not been the case in some other southeast Asian establishments) I ordered the Korean rib plate w/fried egg...the ribs were enough that everyone was able to sample from my plate ...the egg was cooked to my specification...sunny side up...white cooked /yoke runny over white rice with an accompanying light broth & fresh cucumber, tomato & daikon salad our other guests ordered soups... broths were favorable & hearty .... Nho kitchen has some good food but not so good customer service. Called and placed an order for just fried rice and next thing you know my order wasn't ready for the next hour due to being busy. I understand that it's busy but they shouldn't take that long on a simple order and also now being able to order from Door dash they should have everything ready for their customers on time. read more

Really good Vietnamese food. Had it delivered twice now using Door Dash and both times have been superb. After more than 15 years, I got a chance to taste with Quang Nam Style Noodle Soup. I ate once before in Vietnam but i don't really like it really much. But i changed my thought with this ones. That's the best ones I've ever eaten in US. It seems to be the same taste with what i got chance to try in Vietnam, even better than what i think. What can I recommend you guy about this Nho Cafe ? This is the real authentic pho broth. I'm picky about my broth. Most place is water down, too salt, no flavor, or just plain steam water. Not this place. You know a good broth when you don't have to add any ingredient to it. This place may not have a lot of foot traffic. Or maybe this place doesn't have marble floor or fine utensils or beautiful paintings on the wall. But don't be mistaken. Don't let the location or the size of the building deter you from going. It quiet and a low key place to go to eat peacefully unless you're the type that wants to go and socialize and wave at everyone coming in. read more

The pork chops with egg is decent. My sister said her filet mignon pho was really good. My nephew tried to order the Korean BBQ ribs but the lady said they were out. You can tell the old folks hang there everyday, and they smoke right in the entrance. We tried to get one of the waitresses attention to get some knives and she completely ignored us. Great hidden spot! Seriously, it is hidden behind the block of pho restaurants and dinky shops on the corner of First and Mckinley. I can't believe I've never been here. I had their bun bo hue and it's the best I've had in town. It definitely resembled what you'd find in the Vietnamese areas of Southern California. It had all the right meat (other places in town I've tried put random meat in the dish): pig feet, tendon, beef, pork, and Asian deli meat (although, I think the Asian deli meat was a bit old). The broth was great, you could smell and taste the lemon grass. I think I've found my go-to place for bun bo hue. Can't wait to try their pho and other dishes. read more

This place is good quick service, good food, reasonable price, but I only give them 4 star because they use plastic bowls for pho, bun bo hue, bun rieu, to me is look messes and dirty. I hope they will change the ceramic bowls for soup in the future. In my opinion Appearance is very important to any business. Trust me Plastic bowls for soup is look very messy, it's not look appearance at all. They already have a lot of good things going for them, like quick service, good food, and good price, all they need it nice utensils, this place can be very good place to eat for all season in the year. Wow. This place really should have more reviews and more patrons. Please go and support them Fresno/Clovis (I have no association). Their pho broth is delicious and tastes so damn authentic, you don't need to add anything extra (other than basil and lime; which is how good pho should be eaten anyway). I've lived most my life in Fresno and have tried all the well-known pho places, like all the ones on First and McKinley and out on Kings Canyon and Winery (Asian Village), and this one is much better than most of them or if not, just as good. But the best part is their pho steak is so soft and a level above all others. They advertise that it's the filet mignon cut, which I can't dispute since it does has such a soft and delectable texture. Plus, their customer service is much better than most of the other pho joints. Lastly, try their other food options too...the glass noodle/bean thread noodle dish is the best I've had at a restaurant. Soooooo goood. It's not on the regular menu, so you need to ask for their special menu for the bean thread noodle dish, or just show them the picture someone posted here on Yelp. Good eating y'all.
