I have been a big fan and frequent customer of most of the Nice Burger locations. I first started out visiting the Costa Mesa location and then later the Santa Ana location as work took me by those places often. Then I recently started to work in Mission Viejo right off Crown Valley and Marguerite and I noticed that Nice Burger had a new location opening at the La Paz center where Ralph's is. I was so happy when I saw that they were OPEN!! I had to stop in for a quick jr. Cheese burger with tots and ranch dressing and chipotle sauce!!! I was even more excited to find out that my friend is one of the folks who are running this location!! I was super happy and I know that this restaurant is in good hands with the staff and chefs!! Incidentally, not just the burgers are awesome, but the chicken nuggets are incredibly good. Sweet potato fries, awesome desserts made fresh!! Amazing fresh dipping sauces made everyday fresh!! And the rice oil they use to cook the tots and fries is the BEST, lightest oil and healthier than any other "fast" food around. If you're looking for a delicious quick bite for you or the kids, I would consider coming here over eating any other kind of burgers. The BEST vegan fast food in SoCal!! This location especially makes all their food fresh and made to order. I will drive 50+ miles just to come here over the other locations in OC. My go-to is their vegan chicken tenders; they are SO good! The staff here is phenomenal. They are so kind and professional. Yummy and delicious vegan food! The Big Guy and the chicken tenders stood out to me in particular, they were filling and flavorful. Even with self-checkout, the employees greeted my party and were welcoming, making sure to tell us that they were available if we needed anything else. The location is also surrounded by plenty of parking and has a good amount of seating. Only a few negatives here: The "animal style" fries didn't fully melt the cheese, and were a small letdown. I enjoyed the music played in the restaurant, but since it was played using Youtube, we had to sit through a long political ad. I was quite fine with the use of Youtube for a bit of background noise, but it would probably be a good investment to get an ad-free version of it to avoid making customers listen to ads. I was so excited to try this place a couple of weeks ago when I saw it had opened. Our party ordered the BBQ Bacon cheeseburger, Deluxe Spicy Chicken sandwich, Jr Nice Burger, chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries, tots and drinks. We all LOVED all of it and each can't wait to go back and try more, including the fish sandwich. **ETA somehow I never posted this long ago. But since our first visit above, we've been back several times and tried several different items on the menu. My favorite, by far, is still the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, although the spicy chicken sandwich is also really good. Can't wait to visit again soon. read more

Great ethical alternative to fast food. It's more expensive of course but it also tastes really good. The Mexicali was juicy and full of flavor. The chipotle sauce was delicious. The fries were a little too thin for my taste but if you're into skinny fries, you'll love them. The vanilla shake was lightweight and tasty but not an ideal replacement for a dairy-based milkshake. It tasted a little like supplements. Tater tots were also crispy on the outside and soft inside. Yum! I will be coming back here. read more

I love Nice Guys in Santa Ana been going there since they opened. The Mission Viejo location is closer to me but still kinda far from Dana point (wish they had one here)...but I went there to eat. It was hot inside and they did not have the air conditioning on! Another customer also complained how hot it was inside. The girl behind the counter was very very sweet and said the owner doesn't want them to use the air conditioner!!!!! I felt sorry for her because it was sweltering hot and she was perspiring as were the customers in line. So we sat in the car and ate because it was too hot inside and the tables outside were in the direct sun. The food is delicious but the mission viejo location was a little cheap on the lettuce and other veggies and sauce amount on the food...it was a little dry because of it. How cool is that? I also appreciate that they offered suggestions that really hit the spot. The menu offers a good variety of burgers, but I'll be back to try some of their other options like the "fish" burrito and breakfast items. For someone who does not regularly eat vegan food, the quality and flavor of the fries, jalapeno burger and spicy chicken sandwich could easily rival any gastropub selection in the OC. It's great to see restaurants like these in Mission Viejo. They help elevate and set a new standard that breaks away from the stale chains in this area. I walked away happy that I tried something new and can attest to the already positive reviews.
