Nice fellows for the win! They were very helpful and friendly. They spent hours carrying the heaviest of loads up multiple flights of stairs in the blistering heat. They took good care of all our valuables and small items too. They helped disassemble and reassemble our furniture and padded everything so they wouldn't get damaged. It was a challenging townhome with 4 flights of narrow stairs, and movers did a great job. The level of care and autonomy they demonstrated was great. For example we had a big storage with lots of stuff in it, and the boxes from our electronics were in there. The movers found the right boxes and packed everything correctly without any guidance. They also estimated the move to take 5-6 hours initially, and it actually took about 6 hours. That showcases their outstanding experience imho. read more

When we got here, we realized it would need to be turned on its side and carefully finagled through the door. Could they come tomorrow so we could have Christmas Eve dinner on our new table? Could they NOT charge us a two hour minimum for a job that would take all of about 15 minutes? Could they be here in the morning so we could finish getting ready for family to arrive? Would they be on time and not leave us hanging on a holiday? The answer to all questions: YES! We were very pleased with the professionalism of the gentlemen who showed up, too. They even did an extra "side quest" and moved a big chair and ottoman up the stairs for us while they were here. I hired Nice Fellows for a half-day move of personal possessions from one storage unit to another across town in San Francisco. The company was easy to deal with and responsive in all their messaging back-and-forth. The job had its challenges with tight quarters and going up and down stairs, yet the two movers handled everything with aplomb - good attitude, physical resilience and great stamina. Hakim came for phase 1 and phase 2 of my move out of 2 room apartment. We were on 2nd floor and moved into 2nd floor as well as a split route to a storage unit. Pricing was done app via text to their dispatcher. They have a per hour rate for labor estimate based on moving size. Next you give them address(es) to stops you need and they find the route they want to go and give you a gas rate too. In my case we went from old apartment, to storage unit, to new apartment. So they loaded their truck in the organized way. Phase 1 went smooth and realizing I needed help again I scheduled for phase 2. Phase 2 was really more intense and so I appreciated Hakim working hard even though he and his helper got tired. Hakim is a really good planner if you tell him your concerns. Like I wanted as much boxes and how high in my storage unit. And my new place has a narrow staircase so I said "hey before you start come look and make sure the path is clear and how you might do this". That's it. Then he and his helper just did the work. I would hire them again. Fair price and also they are simply hard working people. read more
