We found parking on the street but you still have to pay at the meters on a Sunday. Valet was $15 for the first 2 hours. When we got there staff was very friendly and welcoming and we were seated within 10min. The space is trendy and modern and they have a little market right next to the restaurant. Menu offers tapas, paella, greens and main dishes. We were told paella takes about 30min but it came out within 15min. Everything we ordered off the menu was exceptional and we were left very satisfied. Patatas bravas have a little kick to them which we loved. Crab croquettes were soft and melted in your mouth. Paella mixta was so flavorful and the medium was more than enough for all of us. Brussels sprouts wee good but ai would probably skip it next time. Wagyu empanadas were also a must! Overall amazing experience and can't wait to come back!!

I have tasted much better paella's here in Los Angeles. Although I was extremely disappointed when served our orders, this was below even what we have in LA. Ambience amazing the reflection of stars has nothing to do with the service whatsoever. Actually our service was excellent. It was the food that ruined the experience. This is recently not uncommon in LA. We ordered the patatas bravas, camarones alijillo... I understand that every restaurant has to put their spin on it but this was really missing the mark... since when do we put a aioli sauce in paella or even on potatoes. Yuk!! Amsterdam, maybe but not in seafood. Also chimichurri on shrimp wow this is super new - I ordered paella in Spain at least 20 times and I've never seen it like this. Sangria excellent! Paella 5/10 - I know that they are cooking the seafood whilst still having the paella come out al dente - but our seafood was severely overcooked not much lobster, and a very thin layer of paella - incredibly disappointed, although it was date night and that made it great. I would not recommend this restaurant for paella. It has a great atmosphere. Good drinks nice atmosphere. I know this sounds terrible, but I'm just going to have to go back to La paella for the time being since a few of the restaurants that we frequent have closed - so we will see how long this lasts. Off to look for more restaurants with excellent paella. We definitely have a lacking here in the prime Westside.

So many different kinds of pastas (imported) , olives , pickles , tinned fish, etc. way too much to list here, prices seemed reasonable on most items and some items were out of my budget, I just went over the weekend for the first time so haven't tried too much of what I got yet* but can't wait to try it all! There is such a selection of very unique items , some with such amazing packaging/ art , so this place would be a great place if anyone is looking for a gift/gifts!

Upon entering there are shopping carts and baskets. Take a rolling one (trust me) and get ready for a wonderful store filled with food stuffs that will make you swoon. The neatly stacked shelves are filled with things like chocolate, jam, pasta, tinned seafood, chips, and pasta are all neatly organized. Tags indicating country of origin (largely from Europe) are helpful. There are refrigerators full of charcuterie, cheese, and French butter. Freezers have ready to bake breads and pastries from a bakery in Canada. It's actually quite overwhelming (in a very good way), if you don't know what you need. You'll definitely see lots of things you want. The people that work here seem happy and are very helpful. When we were looking at chips, one of the employees shared his favorites. The best part of the visit was meeting the owner. He was enthusiastic and extremely informative! He told us that everything in the store was sampled and scrutinized for taste and quality. He knew everything about the products and why they were sourced. He helped me find a delicious arbequina olive oil from Italy and tins of sardines packed it butter. Swoon. By the end of our visit my basket was full! While the items here are pricey I truly think that the quality is worth it. Parking is plentiful and conveniently located just outside. The store is clean and well organized. Bring your own reusable shopping bags because you'll need it for all the wonderful goodies. Definitely returning! This tiny Santa Monica wine-and-cheese concept debuted in 2016, and their charcuterie boards earned acclaim from Oprah and The New York Times alike. During the pandemic, Lady & Larder ventured into the sandwich game, and the result was a resounding success. Nowadays, the not-so-secret "Secret Lunch" lineup of gourmet sandwiches is among the best in Los Angeles. The tiny Santa Monica shop shares the block with a Sherwin-Williams and a boxing gym. Cross your fingers for metered street parking on the trafficky block of Pico. Outside, red metal patio furniture is shaded by the overhanging storefront. Natural light runs through multicolored windows to the shop within. The mosaic tiled floor is effortlessly chic. The soaring whitewashed walls are minimally decorated, while shelves and refrigerators are carefully curated with wines, cheeses, tinned fish, and candles. The tablet register is set up on a worn kitchen countertop. Soft, instrumental music immediately feels welcoming. I've visited multiple times for early weekend lunch, and our Toast pre-order was ready upon arrival. We grabbed a table outside, and numerous takeout customers popped in and out during our meal. My favorite was the Disco Only. This elevated turkey club featured an impressive depth of flavor, from the sharp alpine cheese to the rich garlic mayo to the tangy pepperoncini vinegar. The thick-cut Bub and Grandma's sesame bread held up admirably well, and the arugula added a welcome fresh factor. The proteins were plentiful but were outshone by the other components. I also loved the Hot Girl Salami. The sweet-and-hot mustard and crispy baguette accentuated the rich, almost buttery salami. Meanwhile, the Venice Cowgirl was like a cheeseboard on a baguette. The sweet peaches and apricot-habanero jam dominated the subtly rich cheese or thin prosciutto, but the sandwich nonetheless proved to be a unique, summery option worth sharing. Lastly, the Yes, Honey elevated the ham-and-cheese with tangy relish, but the other components felt standard and forgettable. The service was friendly and efficient, and sandwiches ran for $15-20 each. Overall, the food tasted like the Santa Monica Farmer's Market on a premium roll, with sandos ranging from good to excellent. They are worth a dedicated visit if you're in the neighborhood, and I can't wait to work my way through more of Lady & Larder's menu.

At checkout, I selected the pick-up option, with confirmation that my order would be ready at 2:00 PM. When I arrived, I found a location with no signage and no clear indication I was in the right place. I knocked on the front door -- no answer. Went around back, found another door behind a screen -- still no answer. I called them over 25 times during this ordeal. Nothing. It was nearly 90 degrees, and I waited outside for over 30 minutes with zero communication. Out of desperation, I finally yelled into the screen door. Three people inside finally looked up. I asked if I was in the right place for pickup, and they casually said yes -- apparently, no one had been answering the phone because it goes to the owner, who was on vacation. Really? To top it off, my order wasn't even ready. They had to go pack it on the spot. I'll give credit where it's due: the quality of the items was good for the price, but the entire experience was chaotic and incredibly unprofessional. Definitely not returning. If you care about customer service or a smooth experience, look elsewhere.
