Came here for mini cupcakes for my daughter. Searched a few places that were phantom stores but this was an actual location. GPS did take me to the wrong place, but I did find it! It's in a little complex - small but super cute store. Got half a dozen mini cupcakes that were super cute and delicious! The lady helping me was super nice and helpful. Overall a great place!
Ordered cake pops online. Straightforward process and I appreciated being able to use zelle/venmo as an alternative to providing my credit card. I highly recommend considering Mae's custom cakes. They're amazing. Keep in mind a min. 2 weeks needs to be provided for custom orders. My cakepops were the talk of the party Craftsmanship was amazing. The flavors for cake pops were limited. I went with chocolate and confetti. You have the option to choose delivery for an extra cost or pickup. I went with the latter so that i could see the store. The shop is the definition of a hidden gem, located in the corner of a small parking lot with limited parking spaces. The shop itself was cutely organized with the smell of sugar enveloping you as you walk in. I went ahead and ordered some cupcakes that were on display too. When it comes to flavor, I felt the cake pops tasted like store brand desserts, but the cupcakes were delicious bites! I particularly liked the pancakes and bacon and the salted caramel. Yummm. So I would say the cakepops were about the design and the cupcakes are what you want to order based on taste. Definitely looking forward to my next sweet escapade there!
Sugar babies is the best of the best! I have been coming here for so many years ordering custom birthday cakes for my kids. The creativity and wow factor of their cakes are top notch. But then you taste it you are blown away all over again. How can they make something look so great and taste so phenomenal!?? I don't know, but they do it every single time! This latest time around I needed a space themed cake for my boss and we exchange a number of emails discussing creative direction, etc. they were patient and easy to work with and honest when I asked for something that wasn't going to turn out right. From a picture I sent in they made a cake that looked like the moon with craters with a rocket ship blasting off of it. It looked so amazing. Everybody was so impressed with the cake. Another home run with sugar babies! Maybe a baseball themed cake next time?? lol

I ordered cupcakes and personalized cookies for my friend's engagement party. The team was very responsive and helpful while I was making my selections. The pastries came out absolutely perfect. They looked so amazing and tasted delicious. There was nothing left at the end of the night and my friend was over the moon. I highly recommend this shop.
The first thing that smacks you in the face when you open the door is a beautiful waft of baked goodies!! The young ladies are very nice. Mae was very nice with helping me with my order.The display case did not have a whole lot, as you can see, but don't let that fool you. The Smart Set is all about mini-cupcakes from Sugar Babies in a perfect I-can't-show-up-empty-handed box (four minis for $8). The flavors are a fun mix, perfect ratio of fluffy cake to icing, and the box holds each cupcake in place until you arrive at your destination (which might be your own car in the parking lot). I was on the search for cupcakes for tea party baby shower then I found Sugar Babies. You can order online but I decided to into the shop. Immediately greeted upon entering and employee listen to me on what I was looking for. I placed my order and paid. As it was getting closer to the day of the event several more guest and called Sugar Babies to get additional rattler cookies no problem Staff is extremely friendly and everyone loved cookies and cupcakes. They were a hit. My neighbor was looking for a bakery for her cousin and I referred Sugar Babies. They placed an order. Highly recommend them.
I discovered Sugar Babies Bake Shop due to a few Yelp events. And I am glad I checked it out because we love bakeries and it's nice to find out about a good one in the area for future events, holidays or just a regular weekend treat. Cute bakery located in the corner of Riverside dr. w. Fulton in Sherman Oaks area. It has a private lot to park. The shop is nicely decorated. We like their cupcakes and they do sell other baked goods, cookies, brownies, some they can be custom made for various occasions. They do a very nice job with festive decorations. You can get a box of their mini cupcakes, 4 for $8. The cupcakes we got were delicious, the salted caramel was soft with a twist, the strawberry and cream had a nice smooth cream full of berry flavor and our favorites were the red velvet ones, a classid done well, moist, adorably decorated. Customer service is nice, but I wish the ladies working here would be chattier about the nice products they sell. I would like to try some more cupcakes next time! They have a good selection, many flavors so it'll be hard to decide!

They are located in a small shopping mall, which has very limited parking but I scored a good spot. There is one spot designated right in front. Shop is so cute and clean and just very inviting. Loved the wall of flowers. Yelp event was easy peasy. Pick between two different 4 packs or mini cupcakes, I got the sweet and salty one and then decided that four wasn't enough after I saw the many other choices. I loved the salted caramel and the bacon one but honestly everything was good just not good for my sugar count. Cupcakes were not too sweet and cake was very moist. Shop was beautifully decorated to celebrate Valentines so they had some great valentines treats too. If you can't find parking, have patience and find a spot as it is worth the sweet tooth fix.
I don't know about you, but half of my instagram feed is baked goods. I was so intrigued by Sugar Babies custom cookies and all of the amazing photos I saw on their website. I ordered some custom cookies for our Yelpie winners and when I went to pick them up, I couldn't help but take home two boxes of mini cupcakes (one for that day, and the other to share with friends the next night- I swear I shared!!). I love the peanut butter chocolate, cookies and cream and lemon flavored cupcakes. The presentation is so adorable too! The sugar cookies here are incredible. They are SOFT and not dry or crumbly at all. I loved the hint of almond flavor. The custom design turned out just as I had hoped, the colors were bright and the image was clear as day. Mae, the owner, was so accommodating when it came to packaging my order and had excellent communication in regards to order pickup. Fantastic customer service and easy ordering process online! The one thing about Sugar Babies is that it is the DEFINITION of a hidden gem. I drive up and down Fulton constantly, and never saw Sugar Babies tucked away in that tiny plaza across from the Exer Urgent Care. We love a mom and pop bake shop! I will definitely be back for future custom cookie or cake needs!
I ordered custom cupcakes for a small gender reveal. Mae delivered!! Not only were cupcakes beyond cute and adorable. But they were also delicious. The customer service and quick response from Mae made this whole experience stress free. I felt that I was in good hands and she would deliver. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! We've been married nearly two months now, so the chaos of wedding planning is done. And can now calmly write vendors reviews including Sugar Babies Cake Shop. They are literally just up the street from our residence. Just googled nearest cake shops and found them! Walked in 5 minutes later: easy peeezyy. Gave us the best price quote for what we were looking for: something rustic and elegant: a Naked 3-tiered wedding cake. Then we placed a vintage wedding cake topper on and it was perfection! We gave her a week's notice. And we picked our cake the day prior to our wedding ceremony at the Chevy Chase country and they refrigerated onsite. And we were set! All the other price quotes on Zola were hundreds of $$ inflated, and people were demanding. Her cake shop is a cute lil shop front, located in a cozy lil strip mall. Ya gotta pay attention when driving or ya might miss it! Best of all she gave us 12 mini cupcakes as a thank you. How SWEET is that! Maybe we'll have some spooky themed ones, in time for Halloween. 5 stars. Mae was very responsive. Her communication was clear and I can tell she was really trying to make sure my cake vision was accurate. I did have to follow up twice about confirming my order but otherwise the process was smooth. Customer service over the phone was friendly as well. Flavor 5/5 stars. Cake 1, I ordered a chocolate cake with the oreo filling and it was a hit. The family wiped it out. Similarly, Cake 2 was a hit with red velvet and cream cheese filling. Who doesn't like cupcakes? Seriously. You in the back, you can leave. Delicious bite size (actually 2 bites) of Heaven going into your food hole.Yes,please! They have over a dozen flavors of these luscious tasty treats. Now, if you want full size ones, it would be a special order. I'm guessing a dozen minimum. They have 4 different box sizes for gifting. The smallest being 4 for 8 dollars. A little pricey but capable of making quite the impression. They also take orders for other things like cakes for special events. The baker told me the day I was there she had make 600 that day. Some people out there are coming after these hard. Why not! They are located in the back of a tiny strip mall and closed on Mondays. I looked around the whole valley for gluten free cupcakes and Sugar Babies Bake Shop honestly looked the best. I messaged Mae and ordered Gluten Free cupcakes. She had great options I got Vanilla, chocolate and red velvet. Everyone loved the cupcakes. The decor was beautiful and classic. Mae was wonderful and helped me fill my order. It was for a gender reveal, my friend is allergic to gluten (severely) and due to her pregnancy I was really concerned about the gluten sensitivity. Having a bake shop offer gluten free options is almost rare and I am so thankful that everyone in this shop was able to help me. I will surely be reordering here! Thank you everyone in the shop! I got their mini cupcakes for Valentine's Day and they were so cute and absolutely delicious! I had 4 chocolate cupcakes that were valentine decorated and unique. I loved how they were mini, made me feel less bad about eating them all The shop is small and at the back of a shopping center so it's a little hard to find, but inside is super cute. I wish I could give them more stars. I emailed the bakery a little under 2 weeks before the day of my event. From the start Mae made it extremely easy to place an order. I had seen she previously did a Rolex themed cake which looked absolutely amazing so I figured a cookie version would be great for my guests. I sent her an image of the watch I wanted and she promptly responded with a quote. I KNEW they would come out incredible but seeing them in person was next level. Everyone loved them! The best part is that they taste as good as they look which is hard to find now a days. I'm so thankful I found this bakery as they will now be my go-to for any celebration! Thank you so much. Small business win! The owner is very responsive to email and made sure my order was correct and even worked with my budget for my sister in laws baby shower. The cookies were delicious and i'm sure everything else was because i didn't get to try any other desserts we ordered at the party because they got eaten so quickly! First, let me start by saying that my mouth hit the floor in amazement when the box of the cake was brought out. It was huge! I had ordered a custom heart-shaped cake for 10 people for my daughter's birthday. I imagined a small, unassuming box to house a cute, heart-shaped cake. When I opened the box to see what was inside - to call it a cake or cute would be an understatement. It was a masterpiece!! The artistry far surpassed anything that I could have imagined. It was absolutely beautiful! Would it taste as fabulous as it looked? The taste was so good, it was undeniably the best tasting cake that everyone had ever had. Had a great Yelp Elite experience at Sugar Babies! The inside of this small bakery is absolutely beautiful. From the window decor to the wall of flowers, there is something to see in every corner. The staff was very friendly and took time to explain the different cupcakes we were getting and answered all our probing questions! The cupcakes... OMGOODNESS! All of our cupcakes had the same moist and delicious base. Our favorite was the pancake and bacon which magically transported us to the breakfast counter at a small diner. YUM!!!
