I used to go to this nail place and they weren't THAT bad, but this time it wasn't the best experience. My original nail place was booked so I came here for a quick fill and no chip color. An older lady did mine, and she literally took her TIME, shaping my nails and when she put the acrylic on it wasn't leveled properly. She would sit there and comment on where I got my nails done before... seems like she was insulted by it or talking about how they didn't do a good job. I don't have a problem with my nails before I walked in here. AGAIN, she continued to talk under her breath about my nails, then it came down to making my nails a coffin shape... she literally could not file my nails to a square... it was always slanted as she kept filing. She seemed to get upset every time I told her, "no, it's slanted"... So the lady next to her took over the filing and finally got it. I received a coupon for this salon and with a trip coming up I decided to try it out. My tech was Angie and she did a great job on my no chip. The service was prompt and she worked quickly. My hands look and feel very nice! The salon was bigger than I thought and looks very pretty/modern. The color selection for the no chip was huge-hundreds of colors! Awful. Messed up my nails and got argumentative when the issue was pointed out.

I got my nails done by Anh. Asked for a powder dip and it was going very well. I showed her a picture on my phone of the design I wanted. When she worked on my nails she was being so rough on my nails. She kept telling me to "relax" and would pull on my fingers when working on my nails. It happened so much my fingers and hand cracked three times. When she started to add the design she was getting frustrated that she couldn't do it. I did not mind as I was being very patient and would not complain until she was taking too long and kept taking off the design. I just told her it was okay and she can just do one nail instead of all. She got very mad and told me "I was trying to do all of them." She told me to go wash my hands and when I came back the manager was giving her advice on how to get the design I wanted. She still didn't listen. The manager walked over with some smaller tools to help her. The manager then grabbed my hand and showed her how to do the design. She did it so quick with no issue. After this Anh still struggled to do the design but did somewhat of a better job. Also it wasn't even what I asked for but it's fine. I rarely speak up and complain but I thought this review would be helpful. The manager is super nice and made sure I was satisfied with my nails after because she saw I was upset. I've done my nails with Lee and Rita before and they are amazing! Definitely recommend them to anyone walking in with inspiration from a picture online. They can do anything! read more

It's a nice place and they do a good job until they get to adding the top coat of the acrylic they never go back to the cuticle and after a week they're already so grown out and look terrible. I wanted to find a salon closer to home, since my "home" salon is Nail Bliss in Des Plaines. This one had some deals going on, so I decided to check it out. Walking in, I was glad to see it was busy, but I feel they were understaffed for how long the wait time (50 minutes!) for myself was, and the line of people waiting to be seen. The color choices for nails were disappointing; about 75% of the nail polish colors were dark- especially dark red/burgundy colors! I don't know if they haven't rotated colors for spring or what, but I felt limited in the color choices I could pick. That being said, the wait to get fill-ins was really long. I'm glad that the nail technicians take their time with each customer, and I received that kind of personalized time as well, but it was just a bore to wait that long. The girl at the front desk sat down at the nearest station and worked on her own nails, and then forgot the order in which customers came in. I should NOT have to argue with another person about whether I came in before they did! There was also not enough seating for all the people waiting to be seen. Some of them sat at the empty nail stations, and that threw off the order in which we were seen, also. The only positives I can think of for this salon is that it is very open and the pedicure stations in the back of the salon look very luxurious (I did not receive a pedicure, though). I won't be coming back - I feel they reinforced why I love Nail Bliss so much! read more

Okay so first off, there's salons that have their flaws. None are perfect. But this one is perfect for me and I highly recommend it. I have been coming here for over 2 years now. They all treat you very professional and besides the compliments I will suggest things for new comers!! EACH TEC has their own strengths, my favs are Emily for no-chips, Thai for acrylics/gel nails & designs, Jen for designs & Kim does it all and my most recent favorite is Juli who does it all too. Now the other tecs I haven't been a fan if but the ones listed are my fav! Now for NEW COMERS I'll give u some advice, if you need to have ur nails removed ASK for them to be soaked off!!! Or else yes they will try to rip them off with tools (OUCH!) I learned this after a few visits. ALWAYS call ahead and make an appointment, BUT keep in mind depending on the status of how busy they are even tho you have an appt it may get delayed by 15mins. I made an appointment for a pretty basic request. I wanted an acrylic fill with a gel polish. I arrived early for my appointment and was told it would only be a few minutes. I ended up having to wait over an hour before even being seen by someone. The person who did my nails did not even remove the last customers wash cloth with their fake nail extra parts on it. They did an okay job on my nails. There were parts of my nails that didn't have polish and nails that started coming up just days after my fill. Rita did my pedicure. I spent $35 for a deluxe pedicure. They have a great selection of colors to choose from. It's very sanitary, and Rita did an awesome job. It was my first visit to this salon, I will definitely be back. I'm hoping she's consistent with her pedicures/swrv. If she is she has a new loyal client. 1/10/19 I usually see Jason for my nails and Rita for my pedicures. Today Jason wasn't in so I was lucky enough to have Lee. He did a fabulous job. Now I can fluctuate between the two. I saw one lady when I was in a jam and I wasn't as happy. She wasn't sensitive with my tender nails, the polish application wasn't clean and my nails did not hold up well at all. That is the only time I've had a negative experience though. I don't remember her name either.. Lee was efficient and on point with every thing. I appreciate that very much. I also had the pleasure of experiencing a pedicure with Emily as well. I loved how my toes came out by this lovely young women but one of the male nail artist did a horrible job on my ombré nails... did not blend it right after I kept telling him and showing him a picture of how I wanted them to looked. Will probably never go back there or just not with a male. How can you call yourself a manicurist when you cannot perfect your craft ? I would like my money back or someone else needs to redo my nails. My basic no chip manicure and pedicure should not have costed $55. You don't even have the prices posted in your shop. The tech just asked for my card and didn't even tell me how much. I shouldn't have to tell someone how to do their job. She only put one coat of nail polish on my toes and then tried to put a chunky old polish on my finger nails and tried to convince me it was glitter. My feet don't even look like they were done. This place generally has average to pretty good service, and I keep coming back because it is within two minutes of my house, but I will not be coming back. The three times I have been here, I have scheduled an appointment. Each time, I have had to wait over 45 minutes to be seen, after arriving on time to this appointment. I kept coming back because I assumed it was a fluke. I have them the benefit of the doubt. I work in the restaurant business, and I completely understand being busy, running behind, being low on man-power, and customer service in general. What I have seen here repeatedly is not that. They are over-booking and wasting hours of my day for a service I am paying full price for (and tipping over 30% each time - because I know how awful it can be working with the public). Each time there were people that came in after me that were seen before as well, which I could not figure out. I'll start with the good: The place is very clean and that is something i appreciate, however is not enough reason for me to come back.. The bad & the ugly: I had been going there regularly by the time i encountered the most unpleasant nail technician, a young man who's often seen having a smoke outside (a manager maybe, he sure acts entitled) did my nails (full set acrylic) and First of all: he failed to cut my cuticles before proceeding to put on the acrylic (they have always done it before), when i asked him about it he had the nerve to say he doesn't do it cause it takes too much time and he would have to charge extra! As upset as i was, i looked around to see if there was another tech available but the place was super busy (i should have walked out) Second: he never asked how to file them, when i said i wanted medium length stiletto nails he proceed to make fun of my "pointy nails" (who does that?) It all seemed like an endless nightmare and for the first time, i walked out of a salon without leaving a tip and swearing to never come back.. I never have and never will read more

Update from 3 to 1 star. I recently came here for pedicure and overlay fill in. I give them 1 star for taking me after business hours. But there were also 2 other people in with me. Pedicure was rushed and tech did not use the base coat of the no chip color I choose which would of made it pop out more (some techs go with what "they" prefer. The last tech used both base and top color). She mumbled something about it looks better the without the base color. But who's paying for it? I got the $25 basic but that was not communicated to a different tech doing my "overlay". She left home without telling her the price to add to my overlay so i was charged for a $40 pedicure i did not receive. The woman doing my manicure said i needed a full set (raking up a tab, i wanted a fill and basic pedicure, did not intend to spend more than $40). Instead of letting my nails soak she ripped them off and drilled aggressively. Then she kept asking if i wanted gel. She slapped acrylic on badly that it had a bunch of air bubbles and spilled over underneath my real nails. This is not gel. You do not dip "gel" in powder. That is acrylic. Gel is dipped directly from container to your nails. I was charged gel price for acrylic foundation that was so weak it broke and resulted in a urgent care visit. The pros about this place is that there are usually 6+ staff instead of 2 or 3. They use liners for pedicure tubs and tools are sterilized in pouches. Complimentary water. Huge color selection. Clean. 4 TVs. CONS: Expensive. Even "basic" services run a $55+ tab. Nail tech talk more to other tech in foreign language than to customer. Paraffin wax, stones and heated lotions too hot (goes directly from warmer to skin with steam coming out), go for same treatment to have it done differently every time with different prices. Sometimes a base color may or may not be applied depending on nail tech. A little misleading. Asked for gel overlay and got acrylic full set with clear gel top coat. They want you in, paid, and out. read more

I come here often as I live in the area, I been coming for a little over a year and I am very happy with the service. And let me tell you the service is fantastic, the pedicure chairs are very comfortable, good massage. They have a variety of color for regular nail polish and for no chip as well, but this time I was introduce to "dipped" color and let me tell you. I love it, it has not damage my nails at all or made them feel brittle. they have so many colors to choose from. just an over all good experience and all the agents are fantastic and do there work very well, that's why im not even picky of who does my nails. read more

I've been getting my nails done here for about 10 years and every year it seems that they get better and better.. HOWEVER... The last time I stopped by for a full set and pedicure I was not pleased. First off- the pedicure was great- as always. No problems there. I had a gentleman so my toes- looked great. The full set though? Wellllll... I've never had this tech work on me before-I'm not sure of her name but she's young and seems to be the manager. My nails were all natural- no polish to take off. She was rushed and very rough when doing anything to my hands- I've never had it that rough. In fact, she was trimming my cuticles and she made me bleed in two places. Yes.. BLEED. I have NEVER bled while getting my nails done. She nicked me so hard my finger wouldn't stop bleeding for quite some time and literally dripped onto the work station. Then she said I must have moved or came in with the cut already.... No I did not. Once the bleeding was done and tips were on she was painting my nails.... She kept getting over the edges onto my finger and she would take her nails (which were very sharp) and scrape the polish off of my skin. By the way- this hurt- alot- on top of being kind of disgusting... She couldn't use a tool of some sort??????? That also made the cut bleed again. I'm hoping this was a fluke.. I've never had an issue before. I know that ill be requesting someone other than this woman for my future mani/pedis. I gave it two stars because of this experience... It's not hygienic to cut people so deeply they bleed all over the tools.... I hope that doesn't happen often and that they use proper protocol for cleaning up tools and stations after every client to avoid any contamination of any kind after that fiasco........ read more

Anyways I just tried to get my nail fixed and she tried to charge me for one of nails breaking when I just got them done recently. Saying "she doesn't care" and tried to get me to just get a fill for all of them. I always tried to give them another chance but I'm clearly over this place. Very unprofessional. I wish all these photos gave my manicure Justice on how bad it looks. My mom has been going to this place for years, it's in the neighborhood so we go out of it being easy. I stopped going in the past recent years because they do a shit job. Today I went because my mom won't stop telling me how it's better. BOY IS SHE WRONG LOL You can't tell in the picture but my nails r bubbly, rough, and not smooth what so ever. The women who did my toes were did them ok. Just because I didn't go a no chip pedicure she was sloppy and painted some of my toes. I asked her to fix my nails and instead of redoing the no chip she filed down the color....lol and painted on top of them again. Which they are still bubbly. I told the owner that I was dissatisfied with my nails and she asked me to stay. Why do I need to waste my time because your workers don't do their job? It's always nice to find a good nail salon. It seems to always be a trial and error when it comes to locating one that is clean, decently priced, and professional. Also one that is open late on a Saturday night.. which is originally why I had chosen to come here. It doesnt hurt that it's in a small shopping plaza with a grocery store and a Sally's (both of which I had to visit over the weekend anyways, so SCORE! 3 birds with one stone). My nail tech, Angie, was so friendly.. she spoke great english which is a plus, and she kept conversation the entire time. They had a fantastic selection of no chip colors.. which was impressive. The salon itself is very pretty, you wouldnt expect the inside to look as nice as it does from just driving by. Angie did a wonderful job with my nails. The prices were good.. it was over all a great experience. I will be coming back without a doubt! read more
