I made an appointment for my mom, my friend and myself to get blow outs when we were in Tahoe for a wedding. I got a call the day before and she said she could fit all three of us in at 11. Since we had a time crunch, I clarified that we could all come at 11. She said that one person might have to wait a few minutes but that we would all be done by 12. We got there the next day and only one person could be taken at 11. I was fit in around 11:30 and my friend went right after me. We didn't leave until close to 1. The staff was super friendly and I wish that I could give this place a better review but all three of us were disappointed with our results. My hair (which I attempted to have done with loose curls) was flat by 2:30. I ended up having to curl it myself right before the wedding. My mom's was the same. Based on other reviews it may have just been too busy for us to be in there and get the results we were hoping for (there were a number of other people there for the same wedding), but I wish they had said that instead of booking us when they were clearly unable to accommodate 3 people. read more

Love this place !!! Stopped in with a friend for a last minute blow dry and style before her wedding ! We had such a great time and walked out looking fabulous !!! I will definitely be back next time I am in town. The prices were reasonable and the experience was outstanding. I was very impressed with the salon appearance and the quality of the stylists. Nick is the best hairdresser, stylist and colorist I have ever gone to. I've been to plenty of the high end salons in San Francisco and Bay Area I Live and no one compares. I found Nick when I was here for the ski season and now find myself having to come to Tahoe to get my hair done! OY! Fortunately Nick is an excellent colorist and can send me with everything I need to extend the color and other elixirs he mixed together. So glad I found him. Now when people ask me where I get my hair done l, and they do because he makes it look great, I tell them about Nick in Tahoe and his fancy Beverly Hills background. Check him out! My husband and son just the best haircuts I've seen them get in a long time. I got an appointment easily with both of their cuts happening at the same time. I couldn't have asked for a couple of nicer people doing us this great favor of cutting their mops in time for us to be able to enjoy a hike in the afternoon. The salon looks cute and has a beautiful view of the lake to boot. If you're waiting for someone to get their hair done, you can shop at Dave's, have a smoothie at Syd's Bagelry, or just hang out and enjoy the lake. I turned up without an appointment and they were able to fit me in the next day. The owner cut my hair and did an awesome job. He worked with what my hair does by itself. He kept is simple and didn't try to make it look artificial, overly complicated, or give me a style that didn't fit. I really appreciated that. (I'm naturally graying, and my hair is a bit wild.) He *really* knows what he is doing, and brings passion and artistry to what could be a simple hair-cut. The place is also beautiful -- small but cozy, tastefully designed (by the owner), with a wonderful, laid-back vibe. Unlike high-end salons that sport a lot of attitude, but don't deliver as far as good service and quality, Bove is the real deal. read more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience!I decided to do a walk in and the staff was very accommodating. My stylist (although I didn't catch her name) did an excellent job, and did not cut off too much or too little hair.
