    They take forever its been over an hour and there still five people in front of me.. They have like one forklift driver getting people their order. It's insane that this is a place for professionals to get lumber and we have to wait a whole work day for lumber

    Boutht some French doors from here and they look great, however my contractor installed them without the alluminum door sweeps that the door came with!! But thanks to Louie, I called him and he is going to send those to me and have it installed for me the "right" way!!! Louie is great, helpful and professional! thank you for your awesome service! See below the way this incompetent contractor installed my door (without the door sweeps) I look forward to getting my door sweeps!

    Nichols -- The customer service here is tremendous! I stopped in for tap and dies and we all know at the box stores no one would even understand what they are let alone take me right to them. Picked up a wrench too. I also needed a few different threaded rods which were In stock in a number of sizes. Nichols is my first choice for old school, high quality tools and lumber. Thank you Bill! You are very efficient and thorough!

    Clearly Nichol's Lumber motive is profit. Which is unfortunate because I have made the switch from a big box store to shop local and ended up getting ripped off for unusable materials. Worked with the purchasing manager Rick Deen who guaranteed me a solution in person for there brittle/flaking birch and then ghosted me. I ended up having to go in person and he told me in the most condescending manner that it was me and not that and that he owes me nothing. (We do custom fabrications on the daily for some of the biggest musicians in the game and directly for the largest music festivals in the country - with out a doubt there's no issue with our experience or equipment) This is what's wrong with small Buisness these days is they forget they are also the little guy and that us small players become there large contracts. If you're looking for a place to pick up lumber that respects and values it's customers I can assure you this is not the place. This place is not worth the hassle that comes along with it.

    I bought $2500 worth of lumber in May from Nichols for a job that wrapped up yesterday. They delivered it initially, and blocked the whole driveway, when pulling down and to the side would have allowed my cars to get through without having to move it all by HAND. They had no respect where they dropped the load. This was "strike one". Then many of the boards were poor quality of pressure treated wood with big chunks missing and were unsuitable for my deck boards. There were at least 4-5 16-20 footers that did not get used, plus other boards and needed to be returned. So today when the job wrapped, I took hundreds of dollars worth of good and bad uncut lumber on my wood rack to the lumber yard and waited in a 45 min line for the return to get credit for the unused lumber. The service person turned me down flat. Then I went to the manager and was told there was a 30 day policy on limber returns!! What new house build project takes 30 days or less? Not even a room addition takes less than 30 days! Ganahl lumber took boards back today that I bought in March and April, and the Nichols lumber was purchased in May. They are a classy and solid outfit (Ganahl Lumber). Great customer service. Not Nichols. If you can buy from Ganahl lumber do it. This Nichols outfit has no water for waiting contractors sitting in 95 degree heat in long Covid lines. Can you spend 10-15cents to hydrate a waiting customer you make wait OUTSIDE in the HEAT? I brought this to the attention of the desk girls, and they said the case of water "might get stolen" like losing part of a $4.00 case of water is going to bother the budget of a company selling tens of thousands of dollars per day of lumber materials. Bottom line is this:. You may pay less at Nichols...Yes. But the wood is cheaper quality, and there is poor business policy and poor customer relations. I am a physician, and serving people's health needs is my business the past 40 years. I haven't got time to do reviews like this, but Nichols really ticked me off today, and I was very upset with their management. Ganahl is a well oiled professional machine and will save you TIME which is worth money too. I really didn't have the time to return the lumber, but I wanted it out of the driveway today. Then I got rewarded by having them turn down my return and lose a customer for LIFE. The lumber is still sitting on my wood rack. Anybody want discounted treated lumber?

    I highly recommend ordering your supplies through Nichols Lumber. We started our remodel in August and went into the store to get some guidance on interior door design and hardware. Joey was so instrumental in helping me narrow down the look I wanted for the second story remodel I was doing. I gave him photos and he would email me quotes right away with pricing. He was so on top of things. Through COVID many materials were backordered at other stores, but Joey made sure to follow up and give us realistic timelines on when to expect materials. Excellent customer service and I will be sure to come back again when I am ready to remodel my downstairs area. Thank you so much Nichols my house is looking stunning.

    Buyers beware. I paid extra for lumber that they call "exposed" which means the lumber will be installed somewhere a customer will be able to see and is exposed to them so it must be of higher quality. They loaded a pallet in my truck with two nice boards at the top. When I get to the job site and unload the materials I found only the top two boards of good quality and the rest you can say was trash lumber. When I called the lumber yard to complain they laughed and said I should have checked the lumber and that if I wanted to return it , that there is a 25% restocking fee. Needles to say I won't be returning to this lumber yard anymore.

    Nichols...nickels....nicklels.... Well I'm always trying to save a nickel... Ain't I? Naaaah....not me... As other Yelpers have said in their reviews.. "Heeeey...this place has been here for years And no one has reviewed it yet.." OK...my first time here...and this place is a homeowner's paradise Roaming down the aisles.....wondering around with my eyes.. I'd love to buy this item and that item for my project.. But I'd end up buying every object. So here I sit in the middle of the store Bought what I needed and my wallet is sore Don't get me wrong...this is a cool place Where everyone gets to know ya...even my ugly face Nice people everywhere that treet ya real nice.. All these goodies on the shelf that entice Yes, I'll be back again on another day. I was treated really special is all I can say.

I needed 14 more l. Having bought it from the other store I had the item number, pictures of the box and pictures of the product with all of the sizes. I couldn't find the item on the shelf so I asked for help. When the guy came over he was already bothered that he was Disturbed and when I showed him where I was looking for, he said that the picture didn't help. Then I showed him the box with the product number on it and he said that didn't help either. So I asked him what can I do to help and then he asked what is it? I said it's a rubber bushing and then he replied that no, that looks like a washer, a sink washer specifically. I replied. No it's not a washer. I can see the washers right there but this is a bushing and I explained again what I was looking for and try to show the picture again. Well taking me for a moron that didn't take his professional help, he just replied I don't carry anything like that and step the way.

This location being my favorite, I kinda already know where everything is (after asking a hundred times) Today I came in for some heavy duty mount tape, I did a lap just to look around. I feel like there's not as much staff stocking or wandering around like they used too.     I visited the returns counter at Home Depot today and was assisted by a cashier named Angelina. She…read morescanned our return barcode, but because it was not scanned properly, the item did not come up in her system. We calmly explained multiple times that the item was purchased from Home Depot the previous day, but she repeatedly insisted it was not showing on her screen. The interaction turned into an unnecessary back-and-forth, and her attitude came across as rude and unprofessional. After we asked her to fully rescan the barcode, she realized it had not been scanned correctly the first time and the return finally processed. This situation could have easily been avoided with a more thorough scan and better communication. As a seasoned cashier, it would be expected to double-check the barcode before dismissing the customer's explanation. The situation was ultimately resolved, but the experience could have been handled much more professionally. Unfortunately, this was not a positive visit.
