I visited the returns counter at Home Depot today and was assisted by a cashier named Angelina. She scanned our return barcode, but because it was not scanned properly, the item did not come up in her system. We calmly explained multiple times that the item was purchased from Home Depot the previous day, but she repeatedly insisted it was not showing on her screen. The interaction turned into an unnecessary back-and-forth, and her attitude came across as rude and unprofessional. After we asked her to fully rescan the barcode, she realized it had not been scanned correctly the first time and the return finally processed. This situation could have easily been avoided with a more thorough scan and better communication. As a seasoned cashier, it would be expected to double-check the barcode before dismissing the customer's explanation. The situation was ultimately resolved, but the experience could have been handled much more professionally. Unfortunately, this was not a positive visit. read more

On the first Saturday of the month they do a Kid's Workshop, great if your kids (like mine) love to get their hands on little projects. Missed the one this month but maybe next time. Check on the website for your nearest one for more details. If you have a Home Depot Credit Card, they will occasionally mail out a 0% interest offer when you spend over a certain amount. I mean nothing like new appliance that are delivered for free and you pay no interest (sign me up)! If I'm not sure on some items I can usually find one of the workers at the store for help. On September 2nd, 2025 at approximately 2040 Hours, I shopping for a Milwaukee socket set that happened to be locked, immediately after scanned the Associate assistance QR code in front of the locked merchandise, no one showed up for approximately 15 minutes. I looked around for an available associate and was met with Cheere who was extremely rude, she instantly responded with "next time scan the code don't go lookin around for help" She needs some serious retraining. My experience reflects very poorly on management at this location. Think twice before renting from this location. This was supposed to be a basic truck rental. Instead, it turned into days of stress and the worst customer service I've dealt with in a long time. After returning the truck, I saw an extra charge that was never part of the agreed price. My husband called the store for two days straight trying to fix it. BOTH days they admitted it was their billing mistake and said they would look into it and call us back. They never called. On the third day, I called since the charge was on my credit card and asked for Stefanie, the same person who had spoken to my husband. Suddenly she "didn't remember" the case. She said she couldn't look up the contract number. She refused to transfer me to another manager. And her only solution? "Come into the store with the credit card." I explained I had moved to another city. I don't have a car right now. The mistake was theirs. And somehow I'm the one who has to fix it? Her attitude was dismissive and cold. It honestly felt like she just didn't care. No effort. No empathy. No accountability. Then when I contacted Home Depot Customer Service, the story magically changed. Now it wasn't a billing mistake anymore, it was supposedly a fuel charge because the truck wasn't refilled. That's not true. I have timestamped photos from pickup and drop-off showing the fuel level. The truck was returned refueled. Exactly on time. Not late. Not even a minute late. I spent HOURS on the phone trying to correct THEIR mistake. Hours of back and forth, conflicting stories, and zero resolution. And I'm still here with an improper charge and no answers. The money is one thing. The treatment is another. Being brushed off. Being told to "just come in" when that's not possible. Being made to feel like you're the problem for questioning an incorrect charge. I felt completely dismissed and honestly humiliated by how this was handled. If this is how they deal with billing errors, that says a lot about management at this location. What's up: We were on the search for items to refresh the house. Since my aunt was doing a minor renovation, we decided to get new things to match. Parking: Parking is plentiful and we didn't have any issues finding a spot, especially if you park further out. Environment: Masks are required. We walked in to shop around for door handles and mirrors. Not really liking the styles, we decided to take a look at window blinds and curtains. We were looking among the various displays and liked the cellular pull down blinds. It was there that Tanya came by to help us out and gave us an overview of our options. She was extremely friendly and super personable. Tanya was very knowledgeable and definitely knew her stuff. She told us that she can get us signed up for a free estimate so we can see the samples in person at home. We did just that. So on my visit at Home Depot today, as I went a little too far out of the store looking at plants in the Entry way of Home Depot the brakes on my basket locked. A Security measure.. no problem, the problem was that the Sales Lady proceeded to explain the process of the basket wheels locking to the gentleman entering home depot.she completely ignored me. My feeling is that she completely catered to the male customer and ignored me the female customer. I find that to be not only belittling but insulting as well. Horrible Experience at Tool Rental, the tool I had rented did not work as expected brought it back to see if there was anything they could do to help improve performance and was met with an older man who right from the beginning had a very negative attitude and very well implied I did not know how to use the tool and was lying and just trying get a free tool rental. He called the manager and before he arrived even told me he wasn't going to be helpful either. Manager seemed to just want get the situation over with and was only listening to the rude employees uneducated reasoning. I had no issue paying for what I used but just wanted a properly working tool to finish my project, wasted time dealing with the rude employee who was not willing to help since the beginning. I couldn't believe it the HD hired less and less unprofessional and racist workers I did promise myself that I will never go back to this HD in Covina but I broke my promise .I bought the multimeter but it did not work as it is supposed to then I returned it the next day with my receipt.And the cashier scanned the item and refunded to my credit card instead but no no she did scan purchase and I was not aware of it .The day after I checked the statement the refund was not in instantly as the other stores . I came back and the cashier said that it will take 3 or 5 days even the manager said so .Then I showed him the past item which I bought the store refunded right away with my credit card.But they hit me mad because they were very biased towards Asians .I advise my fellow Asian people boycott this HD store read more
