Our party got 2 chicken gyro pitas, 2 chicken gyro bowls, and 2 beef and lamb gyro bowls. We sampled across the options and all are great but the beef and lamb gyro stands above all. Came here on a Thursday night about an hour and a half before closing and there were still a fair amount of customers inside! The workers were really nice and weren't trying to kick us out early. This was my first time trying Nick the Greek and I tried their new halloumi pita. It was very good! The pita was chewy and warm. The vegetables were pretty fresh, but I do wish they gave more. And the halloumi added a nice salty bite. Although, it did remind me a bit more of a mozzarella stick and it might be better as a grilled halloumi. Great gem in a strip mall located next to Starbucks, 7 leaves, and Noodle St. Haven't been back in a couple years so came back again for some good Greek food. Parking: Plenty of shared parking spaces in the strip mall surrounding the building, go to the back for additional parking Got the: 1) Dubai Chocolate froyo (+$4 for Dubai chocolate topping) : 9/10, it's real frozen yogurt, not soft serve, so it's got a tangy flavor. The ratio of topping to froyo was good 2) Mediterranean bowl with lamb/beef gyro: 9/10, comes with a side salad but the base is 1/2 rice and 1/2 kale salad. Comes with a dollop of hummus and a dollop of yogurt on top, fried chickpeas, and pickled onions to mix in. 3) Chicken Gyro plate with Fries: 7/10, the fries were disappointing as they were wilted/soggy. We anticipated a lot because there was a HUGE plume of smoke when they were cooking the chicken but the taste was average. If we didn't witness the plume of smoke, we wouldn't have thought that they put any effort into cooking it. TLDR: will pass on the chicken gyro plate next time but the Dubai chocolate froyo was good read more

My experience at Nick the Greek was great! I've wanted to try this spot for about a year and a half now, but never got around to it. Went today to finally satisfy that craving I've had since I got it recommended to me, and was NOT disappointed. First of all, the service was awesome. The lady that took my order was very kind and helpful with menu choices, had a smile on her face, and had a friendly and outgoing demeanor. There's plenty of seating inside if you want to take a little bit of a break from moving around all day. The food here is great. I got the chicken souvlaki pita wrap, and my girlfriend got the lamb/beef gyro wrap. Both were really tasty. The meat in these is cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The pita is soft and the sauce is really nice and complimentary. We do wish there was a bit more veggies in these wraps, as the meat can get rich and overpowering at times, but other than that, no complaints. Nick's fries are your classic loaded fries with sauce, feta, meat, and green onions. Their fries taste great on their own, and even better in these. The feta does get a bit overpowering but its not a complaint for me... I LOVE FETA. Overall, my experience at Nick the Greek was really positive. I'd give everything an 8.5/10. 100% gets a recommendation from me and I WILL be coming back! read more

I love Greek food. I've grown up in a Mediterranean family eating middle eastern food and it's always so tasty with hints of lemon, oregano, garlic, salty feta, tangy olives. I didn't get any of that from Nick the Greek today. I was a little worried when we entered and found the place empty right at lunch time. The service was great. The cashier made small talk and made suggestions. I ordered the souvlaki combo plate with all salad, no rice. The quality of the food was great. The portion size was acceptable, maybe a little overpriced for what I got, but acceptable. The presentation was nice too. The only issue I had was that it was a little (maybe a lot) too bland! Maybe it was a bad day, maybe next time I'll try the gyro. Maybe I'll bring some pepperoncini peppers or garlic sauce, or sriracha!! read more

The lady at the front and the guy working in the back seemed completely disinterested in their jobs and were outright rude. I was sitting down at a table after ordering, and they brought the food out directly to my table as each item came out of the kitchen. The worker also made it a point to look at me, greet me with a smile, asked me if I needed anything, and addressed me as "Miss" which I actually really appreciated - I don't know about you but hearing the word "Miss" doesn't come by often lately. Maybe I've been too jaded by all the Gen Z stares lately. Especially because this is more like a grab-and-go environment, and it's not even supposed to be a full service restaurant! Lastly, there was a guy that ordered a froyo right after me, and as he was trying to take a photo of it, half the froyo fell to the ground. The worker smiled and said "I got you." Bottom Line Up Front: This is my go-to spot for fast-casual Mediterranean food. The Food: I've tried at least two dishes from each category of food (wrap, plate, bowl, salad, etc.), and I have yet to be disappointed. My most commonly ordered dish is the Beef/Lamb Gyro, a classic Greek food that has everything you need in a meal (e.g. protein, veggies, and healthy carbs) -- plus, it's quite good. It's stuffed with fries, but I always take them out and score myself a "free side." However, I have found that the chicken in the chicken dishes (whether gyro, Souvlaki plate, etc.) is a tad dry. Still has good seasoning, but not as moist as I hoped. The Service: The employees here are all very polite, kind, and friendly. Excellent training all around. The Setting: It's located in a small strip-mall beside a Chipotle, Panda Express, and Verizon store not far from Cal State Fullerton. That means during peak season when school is in session or when the university is hosting a big tournament, the parking lot gets packed. It's made even worse because the stalls in the back are very narrow. Of course, this is not Nick the Greek's fault, but something to be aware of when you arrive. Also note that the restaurant itself is kinda narrow with limited seating. If you're with a big party or arrive at noon during peak school season, you might have a problem finding a seat. Fortunately, there are some outdoor seating at the nearby Chipotle, so you could always hop over there. The Reward Points System: I do have a complaint. If you join their club, you can rack up reward points that can be redeemed later for free items. When I first started coming here, they used a different system that would consistently not work. Now, they've switched systems, but it's still not app based; it's phone number based. So there's no way for me to truly check my points to see if it's accurate. Sometimes I enter my phone number when I order but I don't get a text message confirming my points. Kind of frustrating, especially since I'm a loyal customer. The Conclusion: If you're looking for a place that can balance the speed and convenience of a fast-food joint with the wider offerings and authentic tastes of a sit-down restaurant, Nick the Greek can be ideal. As long as you're not expecting a 3-star Michelin restaurant, it should satisfy your Mediterranean craving. read more

AMAZING!!!!! Been wanting to try this spot out for the longest. My son & I ended up sharing the gyro plate with fries. I did end up getting an extra side of pita and Taziki sauce. The plate was more than enough to share. They also give a student discount so that is a huge plus. They gyro was thinly sliced and the flavor was incredible.
