The restaurant is a bit small, so it's not a great place for groups. The ambience is quiet. During windy days, the front doors become slightly ajar and the wind whips in, so bring a jacket or sit further back in the restaurant. Two single-user separate men and women's restrooms. Service: No table service. Pay at the cashier, they will bring the food out to you which is nice. It's been almost a year since I last tried Nick the Greek. Tonight I had almost the exact same thing as last time, a beef/lamb gyro and Greek fries. The gyro tasted better this time. The meat was flavorful and delicious, and the pita bread was just right. It's a huge gyro and very filling. A few things could be improved. The gyro had too much tzatziki sauce on it, just like last time. If I eat there again, I'll order it on the side. I requested and paid for extra cucumber (only $1.00), and they put five huge chunks of cucumber on it. I was expecting small pieces, like in a Greek salad. The Greek fries were scrumptious. I love the way they are topped with garlic, salt, and scallions. I'll probably go back once in a while since they are close to home, open late, and are reasonably priced. read more

Wish there were more Mediterranean restaurants that were fairly priced. This is the most reasonable priced around San Jose. When I lived in Los Angeles last year, a Gyro was $5 bucks.
