Doordash Delivery!

Always a good reliable option for takeout! I adore their fries, so I would recommend their Nick's Fries with beef gyro! Soooo garlicky and full of flavor. Salty and savory goodness... The only thing is that it lacks vegetables and is high in calories... but that just means it's a guilty pleasure type of treat. There's some seating inside, but parking can be difficult! I'd recommend grabbing it to go or finding parking down the street.

The Gyro Bowl was delish. It came quickly and the place is clean. Great place to stop for a quick bite or order to go.

First time eating at this Nick the Greek location. Located on the corner of Lincoln Ave & Minnesota. Street parking or there is a parking lot in the back. The restaurant is a bit small, so it's not a great place for groups. The ambience is quiet. During windy days, the front doors become slightly ajar and the wind whips in, so bring a jacket or sit further back in the restaurant. Two single-user separate men and women's restrooms. Service: No table service. Pay at the cashier, they will bring the food out to you which is nice. Souvlaki Plate: $19.75, Choice of Souvlaki Meat or Falafel, Rice or Fries, Tzatziki, with Pita Bread, and Side Salad (4/5).

Beef/Lamb Gyro Pita

It's been almost a year since I last tried Nick the Greek. Tonight I had almost the exact same thing as last time, a beef/lamb gyro and Greek fries. The gyro tasted better this time. The meat was flavorful and delicious, and the pita bread was just right. It's a huge gyro and very filling. A few things could be improved. The gyro had too much tzatziki sauce on it, just like last time. If I eat there again, I'll order it on the side. I requested and paid for extra cucumber (only $1.00), and they put five huge chunks of cucumber on it. I was expecting small pieces, like in a Greek salad. The Greek fries were scrumptious. I love the way they are topped with garlic, salt, and scallions. I'll probably go back once in a while since they are close to home, open late, and are reasonably priced.

Good food and my food didn't take long to be served. Also the workers are super kind and patient. And the place is very clean. If there's trash the worker would pick it up

I've been coming here for years and can't believe I'm only just now writing a review. The service is always excellent--every time I've dined inside, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is consistently courteous, kind, and very accommodating. Recently, they added a new bowl to the menu and it is an absolute game changer. It's so fresh, colorful, and full of flavor that I could honestly eat it multiple times a week. The ingredients are high quality, the flavors are bursting, and you genuinely feel good after eating it. Such a great addition to an already solid spot!

The food here was pretty good. The chicken was a little overcooked but the char on the chicken made it flavorful. The rice and pita were very good. The salad was fresh. Overall the place is clean and you can request for a cup to get water. Service was good too.

Fries

Nick the Greek is one of my go-to spots when I want a nutritious meal but don't feel like cooking at home. My usual is a gyro chicken bowl and a side of fries and it always hits the spot! This time I tried something new-- the Mediterranean bowl with steak. I didn't love the steak, but I'm not a big fan of steak in general. Just want to try something new. I would definitely get the Mediterranean bowl next time with chicken.

Favorite location for a nice walk after your meal, Kayla was super nice and friendly, our food was out fast and everything was delicious

Favorite location for a nice walk after, Kayla was very friendly and quick with our order, everything was delicious, can't forget the baklava for dessert

Baklava

The food is very good fresh. The staff is very friendly, and the inside of the restaurant is a little on the chilly side but other than that, it is very nice. We will be back.

Our go to spot for late night dinner. Pretty good portion size too. Their skewers are really good and they are open pretty late.

They are located in a little strip mall on Alma Ave a few doors down from The Giving Pie. The parking lot is not huge but it we were able to find parking with no problem. The inside is nicely decorated with pictures of famous places in Greece. It's not huge inside but cozy with several tables for inside seating as well as a patio outside for outdoor seating. You can scan the QR code at your table or order at the front counter. We ordered from the front counter. We ordered the highly recommended Mousaka, the 3 piece plate with a side of green Greek salad. We chose the chicken skewer, pork skewer, and bifteki for our 3 meat choices as well as an order of Spanikopita. Our food was delivered to our table promptly. I grew up eating my Mom's Mousaka and I've eaten it in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Let me tell you, their Mousaka was excellent. The eggplant, potato, meat filling and béchamel on the top were perfect. It's definitely a must try. The three skewers of meat were so flavorful and juicy. Both my husband and I loved it!! The pita bread it came with so warm and soft. The Spanikopita was fresh and hot. Delicious flaky phyllo dough with a savory spinach interior. The salads that came with each dish were also wonderful. Their feta on the top was so good and I loved the Kalamata olives. Customer service here was great. The young lady that helped us when we ordered was very friendly and helpful. It started getting busy inside while we were eating and I can see why. This is delicious homemade Greek food made from the heart. We will be coming here more often, now that we know about this place. There are many other things we are looking forward to trying.

A…read moregirl with glasses was doing expo and called my name to pick up the food, so my friend walked up to her and said he was going to pick it up for me as I was gathering my things. She told him "okay, hold on" and made him wait almost 10 minutes. She ends up giving the order to the wrong person, and when confronted about it, she wasn't apologetic at all. Her excuse? "I didn't hear what he said, that's why I said to hang on." There was another older woman on expo floor who was extremely rude too. After telling her they gave my order to the wrong person, she looked at the other girl and said "you deal with it" and proceeded to ignore us. She also had the audacity to look at me and say "well we didn't do it on purpose." Again, NOT APOLOGETIC AT ALL nor did they take any accountability for their mistake. Neither of them apologized at all or offered to make things right. They completely ignored us and didn't care that they made a mistake. They had no idea what they were doing on expo. They were mixing up orders and getting confused when packing the containers of food. No matter how good the food may be, the extremely rude service and lack of attention to detail prevents me from ever returning here. If you ever order to go, whether it's in person/over the phone/online pick up, MAKE SURE you have the right order before you leave; if you don't get the right order, they won't care to make it right or acknowledge their mistake in the slightest.

My husband and I decided to walk here 7pm on a Friday and I am so glad we did!…read more The service was wonderful and the food was 10/10. You can definitely split plates here as the portions are big. We ordered the falafels, baba ganoush, chicken souvlaki plate and the gyro plate. We will be adding this one to our rotation!

1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.
