    two glasses of orange juice
    Stephanie S.

Wow, awesome dinner! I had a cocktail similar to an aperol spritz but it wasn't too heavy on the orange flavor. We shared the burrata appetizer, it was probably one of the best I've had. I loved the tomato's and it came with tasty crusty bread. I had the clam spaghetti for dinner. It was really tasty. There were a ton of clams and the sauce was light and perfect. Our waitress was able to squeeze us in on a very busy night. I'd definitely recommend a stop by!

Wow, so delicious!! Loved loved loved all of our food and wine, and we so appreciated the chef being willing to alter a couple dishes to make them vegetarian for us! We got the cannelloni with a tomato sauce (instead of the boar ragu), and an eggplant piccata. We also enjoyed the creamy burrata appetizer, one of the current specials, which was absolutely perfectly flavored and delicious! I got a glass of the Sangiovese wine - really perfect with my meal. We will definitely be back, the next time we're in Port Townsend. Highly recommend!

Great Italian wine selection and the caprese salad was delicious. My friend got the chicken parm which was also very good. I ordered the cannelloni which wasn't anything special. Kinda bland. The bread they bring out with pesto butter was a nice touch. Service was prompt and polite, but not overly warm or intentional. Lovely ambient light. Underground location is cool too.

Excellent food and impeccable service all in a warm, cozy and downright delightful setting! We ate there last night and will probably go again tonight!!!

    The Citrus Saint

I don't write reviews very often, but I think this Italian restaurant is top notch. Our food was absolutely delicious, every bite was heaven and full of flavor. Our waitress, Lindsay, convinced us to try their new signature cocktail the Citrus saint. It was refreshing, tangy, light and well balanced between all the flavors. Lindsay was very attentive and friendly and we look forward to seeing her again. The downstairs location gives it a cozy, speakeasy feel that is very intimate while not feeling crammed with the other tables. I will definitely be bringing visitors here and look forward to returning on another date night.

Went here for a date night before a show at Rose Theater (right across the street). Cozy, intimate, and the best Primavera Alfredo I have ever had. The food is delicious and the drink menu pairs perfectly. Serving sizes were so large, we couldn't finish everything (it was still amazing the next day). Service was impeccable and friendly. An experience not to be missed!

Delicious food, great service. We had bruschetta, the Tuscan salmon, and Saltimbocca. It was a great meal. The service was great, too!

By-the-slice can be limited at the street level window due to its popularity, but I've never had a bad slice even when I ordered something I wasn't sure I'd like. When dining upstairs the service is just okay at best. The servers can be pleasantish enough, but not super-efficient in how they manage serving customers. I say that as a former wait person of 10+ years. I've been there when it's been packed and when it's pretty mellow. In the summer, upstairs can be as hot as what you think the front porch into Hell might feel like. In winter, don't sit by the windows even though they're closed. One dude making pizza and serving downstairs at the slice/pick-up window can get kind of grumpy. He reminds me of Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi." Kill him with kindness, and it'll work out in the end. In spite of that, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather get pizza. There IS a place off a highway near Nyack, New York, but it's a MUCH longer trip. Pizza here is a solid 5, service upstairs is a 3, service downstairs is a 1-5 depending on the direction of the wind, ambience is a 3+ because even though it's really probably a 2 in most people's eyes, the building is old, funky, has history, and I like that.

The menus -which change seasonally- has something for everyone. Fish OF COURSE, burgers & sammies, salads, pasta, a famous and much loved clam chowder and a full bar. Cozy, older crowd who come for their favorites and know what they like. The waitstaff are seasoned veterans who keep everything flowing smoothly from start to finish. My husband had his very favorite salad, an "Ahi Tuna Nicoise" ($32): Thai basil encrusted yellow fin tuna, hearts of romaine, hard-boiled egg, grilled asparagus, sesame gochugaru, Korean chili fingerling potatoes, served with Chinese mustard vinaigrette. I had the "Tide & Tail" Sandwich ($22): a panko fried Bering Sea cod filet with wild Oregon Bay shrimp, sharp white cheddar cheese, Red Dog Farms organic mixed greens, preserved lemon-pepper aioli served on a Crusty Crumb Bakery Focaccia, with a choice of side. I chose a small house salad. It was all fantastic! Couldn't have asked for anything more. Will definitely come back on our next road trip. Maybe it'll be less windy and we can eat on the outside patio next time. Fantastic find!!!

The pulled pork breakfast burrito is amazing--definitely one of the standouts and something we'd order again. I was a little hesitant to try the Boat Yard Hash again because I'd ordered it a few years ago and found it very underwhelming--mostly potatoes and not much flavor. I'm so glad I gave it another shot! This time it was completely different and absolutely delicious. It had tons of flavor and was a huge improvement from what I remembered. The biscuits and gravy were another winner. The gravy was packed with flavor and made the dish much more interesting than the bland, flour-and-milk style gravy you sometimes get. Three dishes, three hits. This visit was an easy 5 stars for us.

After signing in, we gazed at some of the fancy boats in the marina next door. Our wait passed quickly, and we were seated at a table along the wall. Our drink order was taken promptly, and we set out to find that perfect dish on the extensive breakfast menu. While the server said they could make a lot of different drinks, they do not serve orange juice!? My wife ordered and enjoyed their Flanagan omelet. My daughter ordered biscuits and gravy, which looked like a hearty dish for anyone. My son-in-law went with some yummy-looking cinnamon French toast, which must have been good, as he finished first. I couldn't make up my mind, so I went with scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was particularly good and nice and thick. The thin sourdough toast with raspberry jelly was also great. The breakfast potatoes were a bit disappointing. Service was friendly, but my wife would have liked a coffee refill or two. The cafe is a bit away from downtown shopping but offers plenty of free parking. We will give it another try as our meals were overall delicious.
