I wanted a snack anyway, so I stopped in and ordered their meat combo. It was really good--probably one of the best slices I've had in a while. After finishing my first slice, I wanted to try more, and since I was still hungry, I went back and grabbed a pepperoni slice and a Hawaiian slice. We stopped here for a slice as we were walking the town of Port Townsend. We saw many people walking the street with pizza and it smelled really good, so it was an easy decision to eat here after our first choice was too busy to find a table at lunchtime. This is an order and go restaurant. There are tables around the corner if you want to sit. There are no tables or eating in the restaurant. We came in between pizzas so we had to wait about 15 minutes for cheese pizza slices to be ready. During that time, I witnessed a robust stream of people from the street who wanted pepperoni, veggie, or mushroom pizza. They all looked and smelled great. When we finally got our slices ($5 for cheese), the crust was very crisp and crunchy which I liked. There was a lot cheese. The red sauce had hint of garlic flavor. I liked it a lot and the kid ate her whole piece. I would definitely eat pizza here again, Guy Fieri needs to visit this dive. read more

Not the best pizza I have ever had or anything but it was quite good! Waterfront combo was great. The location cannot be beat. The line is for folks that are buying the pizza by the slice. We grabbed the pizza and ate it in the shared outside seating area next to the restaurant looking at the water. Their pizza isn't thin or thick and it is definitely not pan style pizza either. Picked up a nice pie when wandering around town for dinner later. The staff was really nice and made a nice 1/2 and 1/2 to accommodate what we both wanted. The pizza was solid. Boy, did we ever find paydirt with this place. It was about time we found a place around the town that we actually thought the food was good. This was it! The pizza was fabulous! Everything about this pizza was fresh and very good. I loved the crust and rarely say that since I'm not a "crust" person. It was great! The cheese, the toppings were all top notch and delicious. If you like your pizzas crispy with just the right touch of doughy better get your pizza on over here. They even sell their pizza dough so you can have pizza parties at home with your own creative toppings. Today, I went with a slice of pepperoni and slice of sausage, bell peppers, and onions. The sausage is locally sourced and out of this world delish. You'll even eat your crust, so be prepared to get carbed out! The service is EXCELLENT and the ambiance is along the waterfront- fast casual. I believe I have attended their actual dine-in restaurant during Covid years back. Since then, I've only gone for the individual slices or if I'm feeling hungry. They have side salads and house made ranch that you def want to taste if you love ranch. We always look forward to Waterfront Pizza when we visit Port Townsend. We enjoyed the upstairs sit down dining rather than outside dining because we usually visit Port Townsend in the late fall. So this time we just ordered a Caesar Salad because our pizza would have been cold in less than a minute. I've always loved the Caesar Salad at Waterfront, however, this time it was rather dry, and eating it outside in 40 degree weather wasn't great either. We satisfied our pizza craving at Hill Bottom Pies, and it looks like we will no longer be making Waterfront Pizza our usual stop when we visit Port Townsend. read more

Long lines were deceptive. I usually when people line up, its for a good reason. After my trip to Waterfront Pizza today, I have a lot less faith in that assumption. I have walked past this establishment many times. The lines are often out the door and the pizza looked good. Tonight I ordered a whole pie, figuring i wound eat the rest tomorrow. I was finally gonna see what everyone was standing I line for. Turns out, they sell pizza by the slice and there's no room inside, so a few people in line actually gives the impression of a long line. As to the pie, the old trick of leaving a lot of crust around the outside to save on toppings, they definitely have that going on. The crust itself was chewy, but not the good, sourdough chewy. Just the type that gives your jaw an extra workout without reward. The sauce was uninspired, the toppings were decent, but not exciting and for the quality, the prices were fairly steep. When I got the pizza home, the crust had glued itself to the wax paper inside the box. Maybe some of that cornmeal they put on the sidewalk for the birds should have made it into the box to prevent me from having to butcher my slices to get the paper off. Usually, when I have a bad experience,I give it time then try again to make sure I didn't just pick a bad day. I won't be doing that here. There are too many good places in PT to get a bite and there's a much better pizza a lot closer to home for me. This was a one and done. I wrapped my leftovers to eat tomorrow, but I'm not sure I'll actually be inspired to heat them up. This sure won't make for one if those cold pizza slices you like to find in the fridge late at night. If you're hungry, you want a slice and a below average pizza is acceptable to you, grab a slice. YUM!!! This pizza is fantastic. We picked it up and it was piping hot! The crust was crisp on the bottom and nicely browned. The rest of the crust was light and chewy, it was a fantastic combination. Stopped at Waterfront Pizza while we were parked our car at the Port Townsend Ferry Terminal (went were on a weekend trek up north) The shop is super small - just enough for like 2 people to comfortable fit in there. We just wanted a few slices before our ferry ride, so we ordered from the pizza warmer off to the left. There's no menu or board so the staff member verbalized the options that were in the case (twice.. he went really fast). After paying for our items (cash only), we had a seat on the tables next to the restaurant. The pizza was pretty good. I liked that the top was nice & cheesy & they didn't skimp the toppings (I got like a supreme looking one), yet the bread still had a nice crunch to it. And the slices were pretty large too. I wish they had more options to choose from (the warmer literally only holds 3 pizzas total) so if they're out of something.. that's it! I also felt the staff members could've been a bit more friendly. I have no clue what the hype is about this place. Their pizza is lackluster, mediocre and forgettable at best. We stood on the sidewalk dutifully awaiting the most talked about pizza in town. We had one slice of vegetarian and one slice of pepperoni, fresh out of the oven. Looked amazingly and that's where the positives ended, and rather abruptly. That is where the greatness ended. The sauce was abundant. I mean there was a ton of sauce. It killed the flavor. So much so you had to hold the cheese when taking a bite or all the cheese would come off! While it was definitely not frozen, it oddly tasted like one of those Tony's frozen pizzas, or at least reminded me of one. It may have been a bad day for them. But one I am not willing to repeat! One to take the order and one making the pies. Usually has 2-3 pizza slices option ready for you to choose from. So not a lot of waiting for your pizza to cook. Lots of ingredients on the pizza. I kind of wish they weren't so full so I can taste the crust more. If you're craving pizza and you want it quick, you should stop by here. I think it's $6 a slice? I've wanted to have a pizza from here for awhile. We stopped by at 3:30 PM to have a slice for a snack this afternoon. Not only did they not have any pizza slices available but the customer service and courtesy provided was really poor. The man in his 30s with the beard and beanie really had an attitude when we asked about getting a couple slices. He testily told us that there were four other people in line sitting on the bench outside if we didn't hear it explained before. He also had a real tone when I asked what pizza was next and gave us a sarcastic "Good Bye" when we left. We didn't come back and I doubt we ever will. We ordered a pepperoni but got a cheese. Since we didn't notice until we got to Pourhouse, we didn't return/complain about it. All 3 pies were delicious and it fed 6 of us! Street parking.
