We ordered four bushels of crabs from Waverly Crabs for my grandmother's repast, and they exceeded every expectation. The crabs were fresh, heavy, full of meat, and perfectly seasoned. Everyone at the repast kept talking about how delicious they were! I also want to give a special thank you to Craig, he was incredibly helpful through multiple phone calls, making sure we ordered exactly what we needed for our guests. During such a difficult time, his patience, professionalism, and excellent customer service made the process so much easier. When we arrived to pick up our order, the staff helped load all four bushels into our vehicle and made sure to inform us of safe handling instructions when we reached our destination. Review #793 I had a crabs craving but only needed about a half size dozen. I quickly googled half dozen crabs near me and Waverly Crabs came up. I called to place my order, he said 20 minutes and $27.00. They're about 15 minutes way from me so I left my house as soon as I ordered. Once arrived I waited only about 5-7 minutes, making the wait time pretty accurate. The gentleman was busy! Phone lines non stop so I was really excited about the crabs. Got them home, still hot but oh so shallow, practically empty. They were kind enough to give me 10 crabs instead of 6, I'm sure that's because the crabs were so small and empty. The taste, the actual meal in the crabs were good. However, they were so heavily seasoned I had to wipe some of it off. Nice prices, pleasant service but I wouldn't get them again. read more

If you need good, hot crabs...THIS IS THE PLACE. Unfortunately, these were the worst blue crabs I've ever had in my life. They tasted old and were severely overcooked-- the claw meat was dried all the way out. We ordered 3 dozen and I probably only ate 5 crabs before I gave up. I can't believe a Baltimore establishment served such poor quality blue crabs. read more

My daughter and her family recently moved into a home near Loyola College in the Guilford Association. My wife and I have been looking for a place to get good seafood delivered at a reasonable price when we visit. We tried several places over the last few weeks and I can now comfortably say that Waverly Crabs and Seafood is our go to seafood place. My favorite place to get crabs so far since moving to Baltimore. They have great customer service. The crabs are always good sizes and full of meat. They do run out pretty quick on the weekends, so may want to order early or a day before. read more

First off, I only have good things to say about Waverly Crabs and Seafood, but I want to also explain how they changed the course of my life. I've gotten crabs from there several times, and I always get them steamed because duh...but more so because I didn't know there was an another option. So imagine my surprise when my friends say that they are getting live crabs to steam them at their house. I was creeped tf out, because 1) I don't like to see creatures with more than 4 legs moving 2) it made it REAL that we were killing them. I was cool though, I was cool #thuglife. (I mean, only kinda lol. I still couldn't sit with the bag up front with me, so we put them in the trunk lol). Anyway, the car starts and I hear squeaking. I'm thinking it's the leather seats. But then it gets louder and it continues, even though I'm sitting still in my seat. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME CRABS MAKE NOISE! THEY HAVE LITTLE VOICES! WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME!? And my friend says we can't turn the music up too loud to drown them out because we don't want them to get stressed and die before boiling them because then the meat wouldn't be good...is that true? I feel like he was just messing with me. Can someone confirm? Anyway, I then had to take the 15minute ride to their house, in absolute fear of hearing that squeak. I could just imagine their tiny mouths opening, wondering what was going on and asking if we could possibly turn the radio down because even though the new Drake single was popping, they have sensitive ears. I still ate them though because Waverly has some good azz crabs lol. And yes, there's def a difference in taste when you cook them at home, so my traumatizing experience was worth it. Also, it's pretty cool that anytime I say "I'm getting crabs today" my friends ask automatically ask, "oh, are you going to the spot on Greenmount?" Went yesterday to get 1/2 dozen. They were reheated and did not taste fresh at all. Waverly has really gone downhill. The seasoning on the crabs were good. Only if they were fresh. I could tell by the legs of the crab being really dry and hard. read more

Staff is always friendly. Crabs are always delicious! I'm not sure what their recipe is but these are the best crabs I've had and I've been eating Maryland crabs since a child. I have been a regular customers for over 20 years. Never disappointed until now. Purchased 3 large crab cakes on 6/13/18. They were very large in size and fried nicely. Got home, all set for family dinner. After the first bite, all 3 of us said, "What's up with these crabcakes"! No seasoning, not even a hint of Old Bay seasoning, the crab meat was not lump, but special. It tasted ok but was on it's way to turning. Even the saltine crackers were stale.
