A secret I'm assuming breakfast spot that's been here for over 60 years is what we got to enjoy this afternoon! In my quest to find places that still sell biscuits and gravy within the city this place meets the mark! Delicious, basic, and affordable. I can't count the number of times I've gone in the places that don't sell biscuits and gravy anymore. This place is worth a stop 100%. Great booths everywhere easy street parking on Cicero but then the side streets are all permit parking so stick to the main road. Delightful server named Linda took care of us, and the general small diner feel was in full effect. One man was sitting at the small counter when we arrived, one other man was sitting in the booth, and appeared that Linda knew both of these men. Sure they don't have any fresh squeeze juices, or locally sourced coffee advertised on the menu, but for a place that's been around for over 60 years must be doing something right. And it appears whatever comes out of the kitchen is delicious. We guessed that this place is busy earlier in the day, as we arrived at noon I've got to choose which booth we wanted. And I noticed there was a second server cleaning up silverware in the back of the restaurant. I also noticed the table that she was working at was long and generous probably if you had a large group this is a spot you get to sit at. This place is great. I recommend anybody who's dining at the more chain style restaurants in the area come here for a delicious experience. read more

This is a no frills, solid breakfast spot. We've dined in and also had it delivered and both were delicious. We've gotten the biscuits and gravy, omelets, French toast, pancakes and scrambled eggs with bacon. Their bacon is always deliciously crispy. Biscuits and gravy are usually my go to at places like this and I have got to admit, these are by far the best I've ever had. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the patties were also amazing. Had friends in town and their Air B&B was close by. Read the reviews and knew we had to try it. We were not disappointed! Nick was very welcoming when we came through the door.
